Since the genetech skin was mentioned... yeah. I could see potential harassment (or borderline so) on people who own incredibly rare things like that, for them to share it with a group ._.

So how is this going to work? :) is the item removable by anyone or only the person that put it in the group? Can anyone add in items or is it only admins of the group?

So what happens if you remove the shared clothing while people are wearing it? Does it get removed from their HAs at the same time? [edit] OH! what if you make it have to be below a certain rarity?!

I have a pair if you want to wear it lol.

I don't think that would work because some of the godlies (such as ) are r101 (retired). And r101 encompasses a lot of really pretty items that I would love to be able to share but couldn't, now, because of the restriction.

So true.

Will be interesting to see what limitations you end up putting on the wardrobe sharing. I REALLY like this feature, has some great potential. :)

Well this feature was entirely unexpected. :P

It's an interesting idea, but I'm a little apprehensive. It seems like it would only be useful for rare or expensive items, but then it's essentially Subeta-approved item duping? It just feels a little sketchy. Maybe it should be made so that only one person can use it at a time, so it's more like a safer way to lend items.

It also seems weird to have it built into forum groups. Cults I could understand, but it's kind of strange to add it on to regular forum groups.

Of course these are just my initial thoughts, and they're subject to change. I'm interested to see how this feature develops. :)

OHMYGOODNESS! scream of joy dancing We can SHARE items in our new wardrobe?! No more passing "cult" items back and forth? This is absolutely perfect. What a great perk! Now....how can I do this in my group, and if I do, will the item be safe while changes are being made?

If people are concerned about misuse, could it be coded in that only one person can wear a shared item at a time?

I absolutely love this ability and don't want it to go away. My BFF and I split the cost of CWs and boutique items since neither can afford lots of CSC on our own and there are tons of pretties out there! We just take turns wearing the item since we both own it, and this would make that so much easier. so I hope there's a solution if that's going to be an issue. :)

Seriously. best change ever. <3

I really don't like this idea at the moment to be honest. I think it has the huge potential to completely wreck the wearable market, especially for the higher end items. There would have to be some seriously limiting restrictions to the items in the shared pool to prevent that from happening and in that case, why even bother making this at all? As was mentioned by someone earlier in this thread, right now the idea is basically sanctioned item duping.

I can see people just making one massive forum group ( or something) and everyone joining and having unlimited access to most wearables on Subeta. You would have to place restrictions on items on a per item basis to prevent everyone having access to the Gentech Skins or the like. If you just did it by rarity that would prevent people from sharing the more common of the items in that category.

I think a way that would maybe work better is more of a "free trial" sort deal. Someone can use an item from the pool for X days or whatever as a free trial to see if they like the item. After that the item is removed and it cannot be worn again by them. If the person liked the item they would then have to buy their own for continued use. This hopefully would not impact the market as much though I think it would still suffer a little.

If not a free trial then it would have to be stupidly expensive to avoid ruining the market. Say 1mil per item. Which is stupidly high for a low rarity shirt or whatever but way to cheap for a rare Subeatique item.

So yeah, not really liking this idea very much at the moment.

I love the idea of the item sharing, but I'm also afraid of what it will do to the wearable market.

I think that each group should have a limited number of wears available to share (like 5 or 10 maybe.) Then when you want to add a new wearable, you'd have to take one out. Coupled with the high (hopefully very high) price of making an item available to your group, maybe that will keep items from crashing in price too quickly.

Or another idea is making a pool of items available ONLY to forum groups. There would still be a high price tag, and it could still be limited (maybe higher though like 20-30) for each forum group. There would be no worries about inflating/dropping prices on these items because they would not be available in the user market.

Either that, or limit the kind of item that you could add. But even if you limit it to restockables only, you still have to be careful of the subeautique. No one is going to want to buy items from the subeautique if you can just get them for free by joining a forum group.

One last idea: Putting a time limit on the item. The item would only be available to lend for x amount of days, and then you would have to pay to add it back to the item pool.

Will there be an option to view all groups again? Or pages added to the Home to see the previous created groups?

Ohhhh that's a great idea! Have a few sets of items that you have to pay sP to unlock in your forum group, and you can share those items. I like that.

Glad I'm floating ideas like this to see what people think before tossing them onto the site ❤

I tried wearing both copies of the same shirt and saving, the shared version and the one I own and it seems to work. This lets you play with just where the item is in layers without moving it twice, just uncheck the box on one and then the other.

Account Search shows only one. Shouldn't it show you have two?

I wonder about Achievements. Does it count as "in your Wardrobe" if it's a shared item? Clothes lending for Achievement already exists.

Sometimes users who have battlepets share weapons to help folk who have powerful enough pets, but not just the right kinda icons to defeat a challenger they normally couldn't. Are you going to allow Armory shares for the Coloseum?

[edit] I tried removing my copy of the item and then adding it back and I was not prevented from doing so so the Share doesn't seem to mess with this.

Now I have a USE ME in my wardrobe, that gives me an option to buy (in Shop Search) an un-imaged thing?

I love 's idea too o: I was going to say there could be sets of items that become "available for unlocking" when the group hits some sort of "achievement", which could give groups something to work towards collectively, but I can't seem to think of what these "achievements" could be. I like the whole 'team work' thing, but it's likely to be a bad idea, one can tell I have never been an active group member myself x_X

Besides regular sets of items, we could have a special option for submitting cult CWs that way, maybe? So people would pay an according csc fee (which could even vary according to the group size and/or have a "rent" fee?) and have it be officially attached to their cult group. I'm not sure staff minds not having the actual CW items available, but it sure would cut down on potential drama arising from sales of cult-exclusive items x: (and these items already exist anyway, with such rules) The idea suddenly becomes interesting because it might be a single copy, but it'd cost (random example) 5k, and people could still pay so they would be sure their cult item remains cult exclusive. c: omg it could be the end of all privates drama
