I'm kind of opposite- my memories from my childhood are pretty intact, but I can't remember 5 minutes ago! Like "Wait a sec, I knew I was going to do something..."

I had a few repressed memories too, but most of them came back, in dreams and such. So I just gave up trying to keep them down and dealt with them. (not as easy as it sounds, as I'm sure you know- it was hell. But I got through it eventually) Luckily they were all from a very short span of time when I was really really young- I'm stunned how specifically I remembered most of it
