Just to add to this, I'm also on the latest firefox, and this only happens when I'm on the Credits page in the cash shop. It also didn't allow me to buy csc via PBC (the button simply doesn't do anything). And it keeps on doing so on every page I go after the cash shop, until I manually remove the https:// part of the link. Clicking the "shield" icon only disables it temporary (then everything works, and I can buy via PBC again), but the next visit, I'll have to disable it again. Isn't there a permanent fix, instead of allowing it every time?
You can disable mixed content blocking completely in Firefox's about:config page, but do be aware that the block is there for protection. Disabling it on sites you trust is one thing, but turning it off completely isn't really a good idea, and I would only do it as a last resort. Directions here, if you want to go ahead with that.
A slightly less permanent option would be to try this addon. It does the same thing as in the first link, but rather than having to go through about:config it adds a button to disable/enable at any time. Disable MCB if it's causing problems, and re-enable it once you're done.
Thank you for the explanation. Then I'll better leave it at that, it only messes things up after a visit to the "buy csc" page, and that doesn't happen every day, so I can live with that. (though I wouldn't mind if Subeta would fix it, of course).
No problem. :) Hopefully it is something that can be fixed.
I don't use the PBC option, but I just tried it and clicking the button does nothing for me either. Firefox is blocking it. PayPal and Stripe don't have the same problem though.
I don't know if it's been mentioned but there is something seriously up with the friend feed. I'm missing headshots and everything's aligned strange and yes, I checked my custom CSS, that isn't it.
If you're doing that by an Ultimate Game Card, they stopped supporting Subeta last night.

No, I use that option to pay directly with my bank card usually (I'm in Belgium, I'm getting other options than USA or UK users), but hitting the PBC/UGC button doesn't do anything with the above mentioned error happening. I ended up buying with Paypal, so all is good. But this only started happening recently, so I guess it's when Keith did that big update earlier that started it messing up? It's workable when temporary disabling the shield, but since it's the cash shop, it might be worth fixing in order not to drive users away from it, you know? :P
Oh! Sorry.

The headshots were removed from the friend feed on purpose. * Friend feed is messed up
Alignment is still screwy though. I'm betting removal of the images shifted things out of place, and it needs recoding to fix the alignment.
... I love how there was no announcement of this. :I I don't know about you. (Thanks for the link.)

Yeah, there should have at least been something in the new ping group. I don't think there has been any official mention of it at all. It took bug reports for people to find out it was an intentional change. :/
Here's another topic where explains it: friend feed missing avatar icons. It's not saving much space with the messed up alignment.
Oh, that explains so much! Not.
I'm hating the recent lack of communication. I shouldn't have to come on here, the problems and bugs section, to find out if things are intentional or not.

I am having the very same problem, the drop down menus are not working and I use firefox and have been for years now with no problems and I haven't changed anything and it is updated regulary. Hopefully the problem will be solved very soon, in the meantime I guess I will have to take the long road around to get things done, don't know if that will work or not.

- did you see the mentioned fix on the previous page? While it is temporary, it at least doesn't require too much effort and makes the site playable again. Click the shield on the left hand side of the URL bar and "disable protection for this page", to get things working again.
Hopefully the coders will be changing everything over so that there is no mixed content on the site and disabling protection will become unnecessary (especially on the CSC pages where you WANT full encryption, not just partial).

- I got a siteupdate ping for the headshot update in the "This is not a bug!" thread. Group pings are (still?) having some issues, though, and I have only inconsistently been getting large group pings (although FWSG is finally working).
- Thank you for the info. Next time I get that error, I will see if allowing mixed content via the URL bar works. Hopefully the issue gets resolved regularly, though. The error seriously impacts game functioning, and baffles users every time it comes up.
Thanks to the ping groups being largely broken, I've learned not to rely on them. I didn't see it.

I am having this problem on Chrome whenever I'm in the shops. The shield works in Chrome too, but instead of "disabling protection for the page" it was an option to allow unsafe scripts.
Edit: It's happening everywhere now. I don't want to keep allowing "unsafe scripts" and may have to leave the site until this is fixed because the site is almost unusable for me without the drop-down menus.
My menus were working five minutes ago then suddenly nothing would drop down / I couldn't delete my events. In the corner of my URL bar appeared a shield icon and when clicked it said it was blocking some script. I unblocked it and BAM, drop down menus are working and I can delete events. Why so suddenly does my browser think this sites script unsafe? Sketchy biz.
The way I understand it, it's because some scripts on the site are http and some are https (one is partially encrypted, one is securely encrypted). I am hoping that the site will eventually switch everything over to https so that there is no longer a mixed content error that causes firefox and chrome to view the site as unsafe (especially where the CSC pages are concerned).

Very interesting, thanks for the response! I imagine the team knows and will fix the issue sooner or later. Hopefully sooner X3
Sorry for the ping, but since this is still happening today, do you think you can let the programmers know if you think this is important enough, since getting the "unsafe script" and "mixed content" on the buy csc page isn't exactly helping to feel safe while wanting to buy csc...
