So, it appears Mona is afraid of A.... hmm.

At least, that's what I took from A bugging the children's ward in the hospital, knowing Mona would go there to try to help Hannah, and then trying to send her away.

I guess the real question: At what point does Mona decide to help them and stop being afraid?

They're REALLY working towards Alison being A. First, they show the story of the twin girls, one of which stabs another when they were little and is sent away. (Like in the books), then Alison appearing to all the girls at one point or another after her death. However, what I want to know:

Who would Mona be afraid of? I somehow doubt Alison could overpower Mona. So it has to be someone else, if not A directly, working with A.

I'm starting to think Lucas started working with Mona in order to help Mona get away from A. At one point, Mona seemed happy that the girls accepted her in their group. Then Spencer caught on, and she had to... go crazy.

Anyway, this season is full of twists. xD

I've read 10 out of the 12 books, and I keep up with the show. To be honest, I like the show a lot more - even if they changed the character's a lot (especially their looks). It's more intense than the books, imo. As for Ezria, probably that's the only couple I can't stand. They are meaningless to me, they are boring. Ezra can't make up his mind, which drives me crazy, and Aria doesn't really have a role. A has never really hurt her, which makes me think she might has something to do with the A team.

Oh Snap. Looks like they're moving away from the book this time.

There's 2 'A's this time around. o_o

Paige... I like her, but the fact Jenna's afraid of her worries me. Or was she talking about Cece or Nate? >> I kind of prefer Aria with Ezra's brother... is that weird? >>

Anyway, next week is the BetrAyal. Who do you think it is? Think one of the 'A's will be revealed?

EDIT: Well hell, I don't think anyone saw that coming. (Summarizing for people who don't want to watch xD) Spoilering it for those who don't want the shocker spoiled. xD

SPOILER (click to toggle) Mona is seen leaving the mental institute, supposedly has the night guards believing she's a nurse.

Nate isn't Maya's cousin. He was the guy obsessed with her. He also killed her because she wouldn't leave Emily for him. He planned a trip with Emily and his "family" in a cabin, and revealed himself to Emily, and his plan to kill Paige in front of her to take something from her like Maya was taken from him by her.

Caleb arrives ,with the girls going to the wrong lighthouse cabin, but not before Emily escapes and ends up stabbing and killing Nate. Caleb puts his gun down to check on Emily, Nate has enough energy left to grab it and shoot...

Scene pans to the girls outside with cop cars and an ambulance, Hannah crying, Emily and Paige being questioned. Caleb is wheeled out on a gurney, and they keep talking about "the deceased" meaning "Nate" is dead. Paige convinces the police officers to let Emily go comfort Hannah and apologize, with Spencer looking at Paige with an "I'm sorry..." look.

Scene pans to the "A" scene of the episode... with Mona and the second A returning Mona to the hospital, mad that they weren't able to go through with their plan after "Nate" kidnapped Paige. Their plan was to frame Paige all along for Maya's murder. Mona says goodbye to A and goes inside, and A turns around to leave...

...and reveals himself to the audience as Toby. Holy Hell.

I love this show so much. I really want to read the books but I might wait until the shows are over or read at least the first book.

ok so far its too twisted for me to even understand. lol. in the books though Ezra cheated on Aria and they broke up a ton. i like the show better than the books. although i'll be mad if they break them up.

It's sorta uncomfortable having to watch the Toby/Spencer scenes knowing that he's on Team A. Poor Spencer.

I can't stand Mona. I wish she'd get killed off like in the books.

If it helps...(obviously, spoilers :P)

SPOILER (click to toggle) The girls find out Toby is working with Mona in like 3 or 4 episodes.

I still think the fact Byron reacted to hearing Aria say A is framing them was weird. Why was he not shocked? Why was he not worried? It's not like she knew he was there, so she had no reason to lie. The first A almost killed Spencer, his daughter's friend. Why would he not be worried about his daughter?

I'm terrified to read this thread because I don't want to accidentally see any spoilers-- I just started watching this on netflix last week. I'm up to episode 15 so far, it's definitely addicting! I can't wait until I'm all caught up.

MASSIVE Spoilers from the SEASON finale (It's been renewed for a 4th season) have been revealed (only one is a spoiler, per say, the others are just confirming what will be in the episode).

SPOILER (click to toggle) First, off, the BIG spoiler:

Mona is a double agent. She apparently did have a change of heart, and stayed on the A team as a way to keep close to her enemy so she could help the liars find her. It's possible they released this as a red herring, and it's not actually going to happen, but the picture they released with it shows Mona with the girls chasing someone.

Second, we will find out Ali's killer, who is someone "we won't expect," and they will try to kill one of the Liars. Someone will die in the episode, and Ezra's brother will be involved in that.

We will find out just how many people are part of the A team, as well as what happened the night Emily was at Ali's grave.

Hannah will discover who the leader of the A team is, and is put "face-to-face" with her. And the final scene will be a cliffhanger that sets the scene for season 4.

Wee, spoilers. XD I'm excited for the finale now. 2 more months to go!

Tonight's episode... bleh. Spencer bothers me massively.

I can't stand Mona. I just want her to go away or die.
Spencer should have taken two seconds to look under the helmet to check 100% that it was actually Toby before completely breaking down. As much as I dislike Toby, I'm pretty sure he's not really dead.
I hope Andrew comes back. I like the scenes with him and Spencer.

So that was both... expected, yet unexpected.

SPOILER (click to toggle) (assuming all this, based on what we saw) Red Coat, (revealed to be Alison by Mona, Spencer, and Hannah seeing her), knew Mona and Toby weren't faithful to her, and were never really part of the "A" team after Red Coat took over. They were led to believe they were though, she knew Mona only wanted to know who she was, and that Toby was trying to help the Liars.

The real A team is apparently Jenna, Shana, and... Melissa? (Assuming, as she was talking with them about the "bitches") Either Jenna or Shana tried to kill the Liars and Mona, but Alison saved them.

Based on the ending, I can't help but wonder if Mona is now one of the "Little Liars," as she pretty much outright told them she only wanted to know who Red Coat was after being in Radley.

And I totally knew there was going to be something in the trunk of the car. I wonder what it was. A person?

Anyway, unless I missed it, they never showed us who was in the Queen of Hearts costume like they said they would, or what happened the night Emily was at Ali's grave, only that Mona and Red Coat were there, and Mona didn't know who drugged Emily.

Still, I find it interesting. This episode changed everything:

Mona and Toby are not the bad guys. Jenna, Shana, and Melissa are. Alison seems to be the leader of the A team, but doesn't want the liars to die, even though that was the purpose of the entire evening.

Makes me wonder if they're sticking with the twin thing... only this time, they're both alive, and one of them saves the liars, while the other wants them dead... It'd explain why this "Red Coat" had to fly in on a plane, whereas we've seen her in Rosewood in recent episodes. She caught wind that the other Red Coat was planning on killing the girls, Mona, and Toby, and had to stop it. Even if it's not they're the twins, I have no doubts that there's 2 Red Coats.
