Well some days I get depressed, but I really didn't know at the time that that was what I wanted to do. I also went about doing research in the field I wanted so this way I have the engineering degree and the experience to get me in the field I want to go into.I stay optimistic and get involved with as many things as possible to get me where I want to go.
That is tough. I'm going to be a junior this year, starting fresh on a new major myself. I hate choosing majors. I can never decide!
That is a tough decision though. It sounds like the only thing that is holding you back is the fact that you're so far into college at this point. What about minoring? Can you minor in nutrition/physical? I mean, I know it isn't as extensive as majoring in it, but it could give you a start? It could give you the chance to see if the classes appeal to you some, too. Though really, I am just about to declare a minor for the first time, so I'm not sure if it would really be worth it to minor in nutrition or not.
Sorry if this has already been suggested, lol
Eeek ;-; I must've accidentally deleted all my pings. So many...so many missed comments.
I do really thank all of you for your suggestions though <3. It means a lot to me that complete strangers would take time out of their lives to try to help me out. Gives me some hope in the world. :)
I'm not entirely sure myself since there's studies on both sides but I can't find the original publications for many of them, but until I know for sure I'm trying to go flouride-free. Even then, though, if we live in a country where we can't force parents to give their kids their booster shots then we really shouldn't force people to ingest flouride either. It's a kind of forced-medication.
I didn't know that at all. o.o I'll definitely have to check into that, though I just found out that my college doesn't have a health/nutrition degree. It has a physical education degree (aka teaching people how to teach P.E, which is not in my interests list), pre-dentistry, and pre-med. I mean, I can look into the pre-med classes but most of those are for majors only. As for the P.Education degree...most of them are covering how to teach group sports/deal with groups of children/etc. Not very up my alley for my goals. (Online learning here I come :) )
I love love love this idea. I will definitely look into that aspect. <3
Being just a few credits away from finishing my English degree, my odds of dropping it are pretty slim :) (I know it was on my concerns list, but I've changed my mind over the last few days. I'm going to finish it.) My worries about the training aspect is that people might not take me seriously or respect me unless I can back myself up with a degree. I've had that issue when I try to talk about Sociology issues sometimes and it kind of scares me. People can be absolutely brilliant at what they do, but unless they have a degree they won't be considered in the modern world.
I have to admit though, I never even considered life coaching. I've always laughed at it because it's often portrayed as some crazy creepy person encroaching on people's lives or telling them proverbs and getting a bunch of money for it. But a health/nutrition focused life coach? I could do that. I could even toss in meditation (as a relaxation/inner study technique) and teach people how to deal with their conflicts in a more constructive manner (I am getting certified to be a conflict mediator right now). You just opened up a whole new possible door for me. <3
Offers support as a fellow late in the game "changer" - I mean I added a second one my junior year but it's quite similar. Starting from scratch ;-; Unfortunately, I found out my school doesn't have a degree in this field that I'm interested in (it wasn't on my list of things I'd even consider when I was picking schools) so I'll have to get creative in how I get it. I have started considering the possibility of finding an online certification course, but I don't even know how those are priced or if there's ever any kind of financial aide offered for those (right now I can't really afford to just start "attending a second school" as the case would sort of be). Best of luck with your new major and minor :)
awesome! good luck! i would try to help but i have no connections :P
