I've been shoving items into my gallery for 3ish years, not really trying to get achievements. But I wanna make this my priority now so I can start selling.

42,709 items, 11,869 unique

Usually I'll find an item selling for 5sP or less in user shops and start buying one at a time, going through each shop and buying all items under 100sP. I also vend and sometimes use Subetalodge to find the items I don't have thanks to their hoarder collection.

Any tips? Or just some encouragement? xD

That's a heck of a lot of collecting. No tips here, I'm trying to fill up my wardrobe for the achievements and I get bored pretty soon after I start buying items. Are you going to get a gold account to autoprice stuff when you're done?

❤️ Flowers for me? ❤️

People keep telling me that the right person will come along.

Honestly, I think mine got hit by a truck.

In my opinion you should buy wizard tokens and vend, and then autoprice remaining items. It will bring you a lot of profit ;D

Yeah buying items is sorta annoying, fortunately it's like a zen thing for me so if I need to unwind after a stressful day I can just come online and buy from shops for an hour while listening to music. Usually that gets me 200-300 items or more. I don't know if I want to autoprice because I sorta love having a hoard. :S I started my hoard because I hated getting rid of items, lol. I think I'll get a GA anyway and find the most valuable items in my gallery, and sell those off, at least at first, and I'll see how great it is to be rolling in millions again. That will probably spark the need to sell in me.

That is a great idea actually. Tokens are so cheap right now. Though I've got quite a hoard of tokens as well so I don't need to buy them, but I should probably take advantage of the prices anyway. I was thinking once I get to that 45k total item achievement (I'm at 43k now!) I will start selling all the extra items I don't need.

Thanks for the kind words you guys! It keeps me motivated, and I really (really) appreciate it. C:

I think that it is actually better to vend, as you said it's very boring to buy from normal shops. You can try fragmentizer with cheap items ;) and you will earn as well. I am going for this achievement too but I have 3 k items only. How long did it take you?

Well I've been over 40k for a year, I sorta slowed down. 3 years to get to where I am now, just casually buying stuff. But now I'm focusing on it it's going much faster, I got over 1500 items in the past week. Getting individual items will be harder. I cheer every time more items are released.

I guess that it's the best to do it with vending title.. Or maybe I will buy cheap items to make them into crystals

Yes vending xD Sorry I spaced, but yeah, I did a lot more vending before, I need to get into it again. I'll vend, quick stock to wardrobe, then quick stock all the rest to my gallery. It just takes so long to vend. :'P

Hoarding is easy. My junk gallery has over 200K items and I did that without really trying. You have a total of 200504 items in your shop, Total items in gallery: 21778/38742

The trick to hoarding is to spend some time buying cheap items at 1-10 sp, stalking the donation corner, clicking on and picking up event floaters (and buying them from user shops as the event ages and the prices drop). Once you have a fair hoard of cheap items, run the autopricer daily and then sort your gallery by price and go buy cheap items in user shops. Also buying sP vouchers daily. Also back in the day before they had the currency bank I would use large denomination wizard tokens, vend a few times until I had an inventory full of 1 and 2 WT pieces, then shove those in my shop. I will also prominently volunteer to received junk "gifts" for things like Major Drills quests, or for people trying to earn achievements like Melody gift helper and such.

Much more difficult is the Super shop, getting unique items. Other than the most recently released items, I have nearly every common and normal items on site, and about 75% of the rare items. I'm now stuck with trying to restock super rare items or buying them from user shops. These days I only average 10 unique items a day, and since I still need just under 3000 items to reach 30K I figure it'll take about a year to get there. I use SubetaLodge checklists to track my hoard (since I have unique items in my wardrobe, pet treasure, weapons arsenal as well as my hoarder gallery).

This has also included a lot of dancing, flower giving, kissing, etc so that I have enough coins to purchase every new item released in those events.

My two biggest problems are the cash shop and Blackheart Hollow. Ever since they reduced Blackheart hollow restocking I haven't managed to get a single item from there. And of course, I simply can't afford to purchase all the stuff from the cash shop.

I told myself I was going to stop hoarding when I reached 20K unique items, but I ended up deciding to keep going. I will stop when reach 30K...I really will. Then I'll sell all my stuff and make enough sPs to work on the expensive achievements like destroying an ether!

wow I'm so sorry I didn't see your post when you made it 2 months ago, I sort of disappeared off the 'net for a while. I hope you don't mind me pinging you back after so long.

But hank you SO MUCH for all the hoarding tips! These help a lot! I will be making some changes to my routine now. Mostly I need to catch up on site events that I missed, get at least the cheaper items from them now. Nothing stresses me out more than site events on Subeta that have lots of item prizes. xD I have also had 0 success with Blackheart Hollow recently, it's frustrating thinking of all those items that I might have to just buy someday. :/ grumble grumble...

The worst part about the unique items is knowing there aren't enough unique items on the site to even get all the achievements, and with the rate they release them it'll take ages to get there. So might as well sell once I hit 20k.

-I don't mind the ping. Actually its interesting to look at the numbers I posted then. At 10 new unique items a day, I should have acquired 650, but I've done better than that! My hoarder shop has 800 more unique items than when I posted 2 months ago, and according to my hoarding check list at SubetaLodge, I only need 1756 more unique items to hit 30K. At the time I posted I thought I needed around 3K items, but I've gone through the checklist and found a bunch of items I didn't have marked off - mostly from my wardrobe, some from the armoury and all the spell scrolls my pets have learned. Feels good to see that much progress.

LOL I really was going to quit when I hit 20K - but I got the 20K without touching my wardrobe, where I have about 5K unique items, so I figured I was already half way to the next achievement, might as well keep going.

Its a big job, and a long term commitment. But by taking little steps and making reasonable goals it can be done. What really drives me nuts is having plushies, tiles, books and trading cards that I can't put in my collections to earn those achievements. I have to wait until I finish the hoarding ones first - or try to buy two of everything, one for the collection and one for the hoard. And I dread the idea of having a reading drive happen before I reach my 30K because I have a bunch of unique books and will have to decide between keeping them as hoard items, or getting RD points, so I can buy RD prizes and collect those unique items!

I actually am looking to start my hoarding for the achievement and I am hoping I don't start it and get halfway through and want to quit. I have attempted to this a couple times but I am hoping this time it will work. I just kind of want to get it done with.

- the vast majority of my hoard is now in Junk Drawer and its still full. I had stuff in my Hoarder Gallery, I think way back when I working on 10K, when I reached it I dismantled my shop moving stuff all over the place. It was months later when I was going through my junk shop that I realized I had 15K unique items in there and thought I could go for 20K. So I just kept piling stuff into junk drawer instead of moving it all back to hoarder. I should have renamed my shops, but I got used to how they were called then and figured it I renamed them I'd start to get confused when quickstocking and such.

Thanks :). I keep everything stuffed in categories, so whenever I add items, I can sort by category none and tell immediately when I have new things.

I'm sure it won't take you as long as you think to catch up!

Its certainly not an easy achievement to get and it does take dedication. Personally, I feel the best way to get it done and keep your interest up is to make small goals. Getting the achievements themselves take a lot of time, they don't provide much incentive, or even much of a sense of accomplishment, but making small goals and meeting them does give you that sense of accomplishment. Some goals can be:

  1. Getting one sample of each 'floating object" during events.
  2. Getting X number of new items daily/weekly (my current goal is 10 new items daily)
  3. Buying out a specialty shop (all of esther's items, or all the steamworks toys, etc.) Whatever goals suit you best. Good luck!

I never thought about it that way before. I like the idea of buying in section as opposed to going down a list. I think that will help me quite a bit. I have to finish feeding minions first but then I plan on doing the hoarding. One thing at a time haha.
