Kason grabbed her bag out of the back of the truck. She looked up at the feeling of rain on her skin and let out an audible disapproval as she jutted her bottom lip out. She pulled her beanie down, shoving all her hair underneath it. "Stupid goddamn rain.." She muttered, holding her hat down. Grabbing another bag out of the truck, she started after the path Jack was taking.
[ [ Sorry it's short,, getting ready for school. ] ]
Well I met an old man dying on a train. No more destination, no more pain. Well he said, "One thing, before I graduate... Never let your fear decide your fate."
He was bent over, looking under the seats to find his pack of cigarettes when the sound of fast approaching paws caught his attention. He turned around in time to greet Luca's barking with a shouted "Sweet shit on a sandwich!" He scratched his chin as the dog continued to bark "Where the fuck did you come from?" He mumbled to himself, and, as if to answer, the Group broke trough the treeline, lead by Jack. His crooked smile immediately posted up on his face. She was a cute one, and was one of the rare people who could stand his quirky, one of a kind personality.
"Of course I showed up! Give me a chance to fuck shit up with nobody around? Of course I'm gonna make it! Besides.... Don't wanna let down my favorite drummer, do I?" He said to her as she walked up.
We'll look any man straight in his eyes and say
"Kiss my Irish ass! ya better kiss my Irish ASS!"
Jay picked up the bags again, and reached out for the bag Ginger was carrying. "I can handle four bags, if you don't want to carry that." He smiled softly at her. After taking the bag he turned to follow after Jack. He paused a moment. "Where'd Annabelle get off to?" He hadn't noticed her scurry after Luca into the forest.
"Clearly, its been a while since you heard her drum!" I joked loudly to my old friend Raurc. The joke was more for Jack though. She was clearly nervous, and some comic relief was in order. I walked up and nudged Jack, "just kidding, how's it, raurc?" It was hard to think of a time with Jack that Raurc was not involved somehow. She was with him, or talking about him, or wanting to see him. They were obviously head over heels for each other. They just needed to realize it for themselves. It was my duty to help her with Raurc just as it was hers to help me with Kason. Kason suddenly popped in my mind, and I wished we were more. I wished she would casually step up to us and place her hand in mine, where it belonged. I longed for her. Longed for a connection. Maybe I would beable to bond with her on this trip...
Ginger cocked an eyebrow as she handed Jay her bag. "I'm not sure where my sister got off too." She looked around at the trees as they walked, half-expecting her to come stumbling out with leaves in her hair and a sour look on her face. She glanced briefly at Ruarc as they came into a second, smaller clearing where he had parked. How strange, she thought. I could have sworn Anna wondered off in this direction. She listened and looked intently into the trees in the hopes she might see some sign of her. But there was nothing. What was even more strange was the fact that Luca had not seemed to have noticed that her master was gone.
"Luca! Oww!" Annabelle rubbed a thin patch of red on her neck where a branch had just whipped her. "Where is that silly girl," she muttered to her self as she called out again. How strange. Usually Luca came running whenever her name was called. "She must be with the group, who were just over her-!" Annabelle paused. The clearing had vanished and nothing but trees and underbrush unfolded around her. She couldn't hear the sound of voices either. Suddenly she felt very uneasy as searched for any sign of human life. She shuttered as she felt like someone was there, watching her. "Oh, just wonderful. I suppose a chainsaw-wielding madman is going to jump out the trees. Come on Annabelle, let's go." She rolled her eyes and began walking through the trees in the direction she thought the cars were. "I must have just wondered a little farther than I intended." She reassured herself. "No harm done." As she said this she picked up her pace. She knew the woods well and rarely felt uncomfortable on her own. But there was something about these woods that made her think twice. The silence and unease followed her for a good twenty or thirty paces before she finally stopped again. She surveyed her surrounding with a keen eye, hoping to see the back of someone's jacket or hear Luca's friendly bark. As she looked over her left shoulder she jumped. "What the-!!!" She gasped. She looked again and saw nothing. "I thought I just saw..." she shook her head. The trees must have been playing tricks on her.
She gave a sign of relief as she heard Luca barking. Without looking back she walking through the trees and into the clearing to join the group. Ginger and Jay seemed to be heading up the rear, so she quietly joined them. "Goodness, am I glad to see you." She nudged her sister. Ginger looked at her. "Where were you?" Annabelle gave her look. "Didn't you hear me calling? Why didn't Luca come?" Ginger gave her another look, this time of concern. "We never heard you call..." Annabelle narrowed her eyes as she heard this, though from the look on Ginger's face she was telling the truth. But I was right over there.
"Awe thanks" Jack smiled her hand going up to scratch her cheek or push her hair out of her face, which ever would attempt to hide the fact that she might have been blushing with his comment. She heard Howl and couldn't help but look back and glared a little at him. Yea she knew he was joking, even if he said he was joking he still received a weak hit to the arm when he got close. "You have a lot of room to talk" She joked back about his drumming. "Everyone here?" She asked looking around the rain still trickling down through the spaces in the trees.
Amena had followed Jack. Giving a nod to the newest addition to the group. As she gave a slight wave, she chuckled at the fact that the old band was back together. Even though the young female wasn't apart, Amena knew they had a good sound. The rain had given her soft pale silvery blue hair a dampened look to it, as it stuck to her body. Her clothes clinging to her body. If one were to look close enough, goose-bumps will have made their way on her stomach and neck. "I'm here." She said, so that Jack could acknowledge her existence as Amena listened to the sounds of the rain dropping onto the ground and trees, giving the forest a sort of, nice musky smell to it.
Jay gave a concerned look to Annabelle as she popped out of the woods. He wiped a bit of rain water from his face as he listened to the twins. "Are you sure you called?" He obviously felt stupid for asking this, why wouldn't she have called? But, he hadn't heard her, and he was sure his hearing was quite keen. He shifted the bags around, finding a new comfortable positioning for them to be carried. "Are you alright, Anna?" He asked, concern obvious in his voice. He took a quick step towards her to gently place the back of his hand on her forehead. "You look a little pale. Let's hurry up and get to where ever it is we're headed, alright?" He glanced at Ginger, showing her his concern for her sister, before turning to face Jack again. "Looks like we're all here, Jack. Anna, I think, got a bit mixed up with her directions." He glanced at Anna, hoping the statement hadn't offended her. "But, she's good now. Let's get moving before it starts pouring."
"I like to call this section of the woods 'the Bermuda triangle'. It'll do that to ya." He said to Annabelle, who appeared to have gotten lost for a moment. "When really, the trees and bushes grow in a weird sorta way around here, looking the same in every direction. I've gotten lost once or twice back here m'self. It's all good." He flinched as a fat rain drop landed with a TAK! on the lense of his sunglasses. He pulled them off and looked up to the sky "and I agree with the hauling off ass right now. Better Pitch tents and whatnot to get out of the rain."
We'll look any man straight in his eyes and say
"Kiss my Irish ass! ya better kiss my Irish ASS!"
Kason stared angrily up at the sky, muttering curses. "Please." Kason said, a little more eagerly than she intended as she agreed with Raurc. She fixed her bag on her shoulder and the bag she was carrying. "Never ever trusted a weather man in my goddamn life.." She mumbled, shaking her head. "Can someone get my sandals from my bag?" She wasn't pro-shoes, but she didn't want to be the one with a tree branch sticking through her foot. It'd be just her luck if it happened. Always the one to get some kind of injury before they started or before they left .
Well I met an old man dying on a train. No more destination, no more pain. Well he said, "One thing, before I graduate... Never let your fear decide your fate."
Of course, I was the first to spring into action to get kasons sandals. It was a small guesture, but I took advantage of it just the same. Any oppurtunity to help kason was worth it. I got her sandals out, and even kneeled down to help her put them on. Once they were, we followed the group into the woods. I made sure to walk right next to kason, moving branhes out of her way, and pointing out briar weeds and such. I swear, as I held one branch away we were a breath away from each other, but only I seemed to notice. Or maybe it was obvious that I was subtly macking on her... I certainly hoped not. On a seperate note, I like being with the band again. We thought we were hot stuff back in high school, then everyone got jobs and lives. I couldn't remember the last time we played. I remember one time we played a smallish gig, and no joke, some drunk lady was all "Freebird! Play Freebird!" I facepalmed, and I think Raurc had her thrown out... ormaybe he threw something at her... either option was very possible. I caught myself smiling involuntarily as I chuckled at the memory. Surely I looked stupid, but Kason was the only one I cared about what she thought. Other than I guess Jack... kinda.
"Lemme grab my shit outta the back real quick.." He mumbled, he grabbed his tent and a tarp (extra rain protection) under one arm, and a fiddle case under the other. He then reached into the back and pulled out a couple boxes of ammunition, stuck them in his pockets. Last thing to come out of the vehicle was a varmint rifle, which he slung over his shoulder "So I can get dinner later. Squirrel is damn good, ya know." He explained, shutting all the doors and locking them. "Onward?" He said, lookim to the rest of the group. They had to move, set up camp and get a fire going fast before it got too much wetter out.
He looked around for a minute, to remember what the area looked like for later reference. And at every tree, all he could see was Slenderman peeking around it, waiting to fuck everyone's brains. He shivered, and not from the wet either. He was uneasy about something, which is quite a feat to get Ruarc uneasy. He quickly dismissed the thought, and waited for everyone to start moving.

"Well actually I thought we were there" Jack admitted, "But we can continue on trying to find another clearing if you would all like" She nodded unsure really what to do at the moment. The rain made her a little uneasy, it's not that she didn't like the rain, she just wasn't sure if it would last and if she had enough protection so things didn't get damaged. Not to mention the woods didn't give her a very good feeling in general. "I am looking to get out of the rain as well, so it's up to you all to move on or just here" She nodded her thumbs still hooked in her backpack straps.
sorry bout the wait... the last two days were rather long and hectic
"Squirrel doesn't have a lot of protein though. It's all gross and shit. Venison is where it's at." Kason nodded. She looked at Howl, watching how almost everything she did made him nervous. It made her chuckle. Was she making him uncomfortable? That was a game she could play. How Uncomfortable Can I Make Howl. By Milton Bradley. As he held a branch for her, she smiled, letting her hand brush his thigh as she walked by. "Thanks.." She smiling, biting her lip as she let her face get close to his. Looking back at the front of the group, she skipped forward. "Did you know if you lived on a diet of only rabbits, you'd die? They don't have any nutritional value whatsoever."

Annabelle looked between her friends and the forest, a look of pure confusion on her face. "What is...but I..." She look at Jay. Why doesn't anyone believe me? She asked herself frantically. "I know I, oohhh nevermind!" She rolled her eyes and looked up to the sky, a frustrated sigh passing over her lips. She had not gotten lost, she had not wondered off. Contrary to popular belief, she was actual quite the outdoors man, well, woman. She was methodical when it came to safety in the wilderness and could only be outdone in the tracking department by Luca. So how could she have lost her barrings only a handful of footsteps away from her friends? It was impossible. And even if she had somehow gotten lost, she would have still been able to hear Luca's barking and found her way back. Luca was many things, but quiet she was not.
"Hey, you probably took a wrong turn when you were looking for Luca." Ginger pipped up as the others turned their attention to accommodations for the evening. Ginger would just sleep in the mud, as long as it meant being outside. So she really didn't mind wherever it was they decided to be. "You know how you tend to put blinders on whenever something happens to that little bundle of fur and teeth." She hooked her arm around her sister's neck and gave her a squeeze. "No worries, we won't tell anyone." Ginger gestured to Jay and herself, and smiled.
Annabelle took a deep breath and rubbed her forehead with the sleeve of her sweater. "I...I suppose I may have taken a misstep. I guess..." Ginger nodded. "Yes, I'm sure it was nothing more serious than that." Annabelle gave a hesitant smile. Perhaps she had made a mistake. After all, it was not uncommon to have your mind play tricks on you in the woods. She might have just seen a sapling swaying in the breeze, or even an oddly shaped rock covered in leaves. Right?
Ginger sidled up to Jay and whispered in his ear, her gaze still fixed on her sister. "You didn't hear her either, right?" She glanced at him, her amber eyes almost glowing against the gloomy backdrop of the woods. "I'm worried about her. I've never seen her like this." Ginger pouted as she crossed her arms. "She's not in the habit of losing her way, let alone lying about it." She watched as Annabelle stole a peek in the trees. "Regardless, I think we should keep an eye on her. You know," she leaned in close to Jay as her voice dropped to a whisper, "just in case". She squeezed Jay's hand, then turned her attention back to the group as a clap of thunder rattled overhead. Luca jumped to attention and began barking again. She had never been a fan of thunder, even as a puppy.
((I'm sorry to keep you all waiting. ^_^; I just started work this week and I'm a little frazzled trying to get used to the new hours.))
Ruarc shrugged, "Well, f

[ [ .... What....? ] ]
Well I met an old man dying on a train. No more destination, no more pain. Well he said, "One thing, before I graduate... Never let your fear decide your fate."
Jay nodded to Ginger, his whole body heating up when she squeezed his hand. He leaned towards her to whisper, "Maybe she caught something at that rest stop a few hours ago? There were a few people there that looked a little feverish." He glanced at Annabelle. "Don't worry," he took Ginger's hand up in his, "if she is sick, you know I can take care of her." He gave the chocolate hair'd girl the sweetest smile he could probably muster, without even meaning to. He glanced back towards the others, not even realizing that their hands were still clasped. "I'm all fine and dandy sleepin' out in the rain, but I believe there's a couple few ladies who would prefer a more sheltered environment. I suggest walking on a bit further." He shot a glance to Jack, "maybe there's some sort of sheltered camping site nearby." However, little did he know what this group would stumble upon.
My heart skipped a beat with her touch. It sent a warmness through me that both made me feel at bome and made me really uncomfortable at the same time. Lucky she skipped ahead as I blushed and had to catch my breath. I released the branchthat was bent from haveing been held so long, and moved along. I waited for myself to calm down before rejoining Kason. I swear, when she bit her lip, my heart dropped into my stomach. I saw Jay and Ginger holding hands. Finally. The two simply wreaked of romantic tension, and he was clearly doing way better than I was at moving on it. Then there was annabelle. She seemed to have isolated herself. She lookexd like a nervous wreck. Getting lost had messed her up, and I had to act. She was my friend, what else could I do? I jogged up to Annabelles side and put a comforting arm around her" are you going to be okay" I asked, rubbing her arm in hopes of consuling her.
