I feel like you would be amused by Dyonious (sp?) who was super confused cause he was ripped from his mother after zeus killed her with a lightening bolt, put the kid into a slit in his thigh and thus he is twice born. Also he was sent to live with faries who dressed him up a girl... Oh Dyonious.

I know all about Dionysius LOL I always thought his lore was meant to be an ill-humored parody of Jesus.

Cept he existed before Jesus.o.O It was an integral part in the history of theater and dance.

I know his early stories were, but his followers completely messed him up in Rome when they turned him from a demi-God into a cannibalistic Charles Manson LOL Of course he was already crazy as Dionysius in The Bacchae, but his cannibalistic stuff didn't start spreading until people actually started becoming Bacchantes in Rome.

Well the cult rose before Greek civialization did, I don't know these Bacchantes folk but because of the dyithrams and the festivals attempting to rise him up to god status, they moved their dancing to threshing grounds, and then slowly progressed theater as it became a spectator thing, and then it because a religious production, play, etc.

I LOVE Bacchus/Dionysius. Christianity and Bacchaism (not sure there's really a name for it; there was a Church of Bacchus, though) were directly competing at one point and it's believed that Christians either made up or purposefully promoted the story of Jesus turning water into wine to assert Jesus over Bacchus (he was the God of wine).

Apollos Angels is a really good dance history book, really wordy though and is more like the later delevolpment of ballet. Such as, around Louis the 14ths time. He was a ballerina, the sun god title came from his performances. It brought him out of his shell and allowed him to rule with an iron fist. Also his buddy Lully who was a composer put his conducting stick through his foot and it was the most unnessicary video my teacher ever showed us. Lol.

I'm pretty good. I just changed my HA and I'm pretty happy with it. It reminds me of my favorite game when I was a kid called the Legend of Mana. I like your new HA, btw. Your mask is super cool.

Dance and history is very weird. Like when theatres were a thing, they were basically designed to have the best view of the royals or important peoples seats; not the show it's self. Haha. I was always into History. I think my favorite part of learning World History was Rasputin (and his death).

I've always HATED history classes because I am terrible with time and geography. It just doesn't make sense to me LOL In my free time I love to read the stories, but I have no sense of time/location at all!
