I would like your opinion on my day.. I went to the olive garden with my mother-in-law. I ask for the frozen strawberry lemonade non alcohol drink..Of course my mother -in- law starts talking to the waitress and kidding with about her wanting a margarita and the waitress finally comes back with the drinks ..its 95 out here so I drank my drink down.. and when the waitress came back she said to me I hope your not driving and of course then I asked her why would that be a problem and she said well you just drank that glass down and I looked at her and told her I dont drink ..she was like you just did....omg I was freaking out my mother-in-law was like its the waitress fault she should get fired and I was telling her it was her fault for talking to the waitress about booze knowing they had 2 kinds of strawberry lemonade .. I don't think she should get in-trouble because you cant stop flirting with the waitresses. (so who's fault do you think it was) you dont have to pick my side I just want an unbiased opinion <3

the waitress should have written it down :x though your mother in law chitter chattering didnt help

Both of them were at fault, since neither one was paying good enough attention. The waitress should have remembered that you said non-alcoholic though. I don't think she should be fired, since mistakes happen, but let's pretend you were a recovering alcoholic - that right there ruins the length of your recovery because you have to start back at one day sober again, and could put someone who had an issue into a tailspin =/

Your mother-in-law shouldn't have interrupted and started talking about alcohol while you were ordering either, but the majority of the fault does still lay with the waitress who should have listened to what you said =/

Also, I hope you're not in recovery, I mean no offense if you are! My cousin is a recovering alcoholic, and she'd flip the hell out if the waitress came back after she'd finished her drink and told her there was booze in it :(

well I dont think you can get fired for accidentally serving alochol unless it's to a minor

nope just dont drink..I cant take my mother-in-law anywhere ....and the waitress told her she was new. but ..I am okay..I just didnt want her to lose her job. I apologized to my mother-in-law..she thinks I yelled at her because she is bi...and i was like nope just because your ignorant I hope not..she was very nice.

Bahahahahaha. Yeah, it's a mistake that can happen, and since you're not an alcoholic, no harm no foul in the long run. Definitely not something to be fired over, but probably something she needs to remember having done so she pays better attention.
