This is a Hardworking Broom, created a while back by our very own Dannica. For the adventure right now, it is a symbol of all of you who are really juggling schedules, helping your teams, putting up with the current chaos that is Subeta during any event/remodel and generally being wonderful!

So, what do you do with it?

Well, you sweep out your door any team "member" who resembles this description:

1. Never answers any smail, email, profile comment, thread ping to any board, but still expects to be included.
2. Someone else makes every HA and writes every RP for this person, not because they need some help and have asked you, but because a deadline is hitting your team, and the person is MIA (again)
3. Hasn't contributed a single thought to any brain-storming session for at least a month, and they're not exhausted from thinking, since they haven't given any challenge a thought.

They are not, not, not the person who has/had a family crisis and needed some time off, nor the one who had a computer die on them, nor the one camping, fishing, on a family vacation, making a move, having a baby, covering at work for an absentee, dead sick with the flu for two weeks. Those folks are with you; they have told you what is happening, and usually told me as well. They are fine, good, hard-working team members.

The broom only seeks those whose absence is a gloomy red beacon in the fog. They couldn't care less, and they are making the rest of the team carry them. Every other team member knows who these folks are. But I know something else. They will ALL show up in Chapter 13 to claim their prizes--happened last year; will happen again, unless....

Captains, co-captains, sweep them out the door! No need to agonize--just tell me who you swept. There are too many folks doing the best they can manage on every team with whatever strengths, and they deserve that fairness.

The Prize gallery is growing, and we just may, with a bit more luck, end up with four things for everyone, including our stalwart helpers who answered emergency help calls and are aiding their teams to victory. They count a lot, too! Whether you are in it for the prizes or not, it's still nice to be rewarded and appreciated for a job well done!

So, pick up that broom and sweep!
