I wouldn't mind it if these were onsale for the first day only, for an outragious pricetag (500-1k csc), one per person. I mean typically irl, VIP = you paid a lot of money for luxury, not exclusively that.. I got lucky and won these via a radio program/being online at the right time of the day.
Like SixFlags closed down here a long time ago but I vaguely recall the season passes being like, $75, and the VIP season passes being more along the lines of $250 a pop. And for that extra money you got in the park earlier and only had to stand in VIP lines vs. lines of death.
So I'd rather the luck!VIP option with contests and then the... I paid for this. Not.. luck!paying which is really starting to look like it's ruining this event for people a week+ before the event even starts. Which is a shame.
That said I'd also add that after all this hype and so many people upset about this... I really hope there's actually something special for people who've essentially camped out/crashed the site for these tickets, because haha wow I'm not fishing for hints but I'ma just say if this is all hyped up for nothing I would expect the site to lose more than a handful of users |D
I'm too sunk cost to ever leave subeta, but if all this VIP hype is for nada.. I will never waste my time/money on VIP anything ever again because I'll assume it's just hot air.
Also someone posted this on tumblr in response to someone asking about the perks
Oh dear, is this 'Amber' person one of my festival's staff? Hinting things like that unofficially, how cheeky! I suppose I can tell y'all that yes, there WILL be a VIP area during the festival. Just a small lounge in which festival goers can escape the crowds, relax with some sexy drinks and get a hold of some soft toilet paper. We may even be offering a selection of new extra items to purchase in the sp currency - only the very best, of course!

Is it aloe vera toilet paper, though?
Also people, if it was sol to everyone, would it really be (VI)P?
Seriously, now I'm being offered as drinks?
Why am I not getting asked before people use me in such ways? ;.;

Hopefully there will be special bottle items.

Because it is your destiny to be used in such sexy ways. XD

I'm glad to hear the VIP won't be just hype related. Originally I thought it was something akin to the last Epicon item in the cash shop and since that one did held no relevance (there weren't even pony rides...) I wasn't interested in this VIP ticket.
But then it was limited and promised specialness because "not everyone could be VIP" and that there'd be exclusively. Which made me paranoid and curious, and I'm glad it's not just a hyped-up version of the epicon cash shop item.
That said I still think it should be more unlimited for a period of time for a higher cost so anyone who wanted one could get one if they were willing to pay (hey, irl that's exactly what VIP is for.. people with the mwand oc paying the premium). It's honestly really sad to see the scalpers antagonising people, people unable to get tickets and getting so frustrated they're over an event before it happens, and there's no win at this point with VIP treatment.
Either people wasted money for nothing or users feel excluded thanks to luck.
Personally id rather see this vip ticket more along the lines of the proposed account buffs-- like maybe tbis lounge and doubleply quilted TP is available to everyone with a ticket? Only users with a VIP pass can get drinks/shade/toiletries every, say, 5-15 minutes while non-VIP can only hang out once every 30m-1hour?
Maybe VIP can gain access a day earlier to have a drink or two with the designers, get a sneak-peak of the chosen not-CWs... Get a free goodie bag with some swag in it etc. Nothing game changing but ngl timer buffs = the BEST vip treatment ever. Vip all the holidays/eventshops = something I'd always want toget in on x:
To be honest, I think there already are way too many tickets released (and more to come in the next week) in order to be considered a "real" VIP... It's not that special if half or more of the active users have a ticket? Also, it might (and already is, I guess) causing friction between the users. So yeah, timer buffs, or just paying less sP for items (rather that having exclusive items), or being able to play a few more games (if there really are any, and if they are limited :P ) than the others, would make both sides happy: VIP'ers see the immediate advantage of their ticket, and the regular ticketholders aren't excluded from anything.
As far as the OP goes, no fixed times for VIP ticket releases, please. That would even more reduce the (supposed) exclusiveness of the tickets.
:) Do want. Please give me an opportunity that makes the 250CSC I spent on this VIP ticket worth it.
I don't feel that account buffs (mainly decreased waiting times, which is all that really comes to my mind in relation to buffs) are worth the cost that I paid for my ticket - that's my opinion, anyway, though I know others will feel differently. I'd probably get rid of it immediately if that turned out to be the only/main perk of having it, and I'd regret having bought it at all. I could've saved my CSC and just waited a bit longer to gain the exact same access to the event.
But decreased prices on items might be more interesting to me. Items are much more relevant to my interests.
I wouldn't mind if the main focus was lowered wait times and/or price on the same items that non-VIP ticket holders are able to buy, but I do look forward to seeing the VIP-only area, and I think that's a nice added perk. I doubt the VIP-only items would be impossible to get your hands on later even if you don't have a VIP ticket, especially with the amount of VIP tickets that are going out.
