Hi, I just go to a book store and order them there - if it's not in print, I search on ebay for one spot.

I usually order them from The Book Depository, so maybe you should check their site. They have free delivery worldwide. ^_^ I usually order them from the British site (.co.uk), but I think there's an American one too. :) Not to mention the prices are really cheap, at least compared to the ones in bookshops in my country. XD

I usually check Better World Books and Amazon. If I want to buy an entire series I might check eBay.

; eBay is definitely the way to go but unfortunately with you being in Romania and many people not shipping overseas it might be hard. :(

Amazon. I usually get books for Kindle, so most of mine are bought directly from them. But if it has to be a physical copy I check whether or not The Book Depository has it. I've ordered several books from them. They're very cheap, ship fast, and I've never had an issue with them. :)

Ohh that's an awesome website. I usually get my books from amazon because it's where I get everything else but even though book prices are about the same on both sites not paying shipping with book depository sounds very appealing. Do you know how long it takes for book depository to ship a book to you?

It sure is. ^_^ That's the main reason I usually order books from The Book Depository. Well, TBD is in Gloucester, England and I'm in Maribor, Slovenia, so it usually takes from 7 to 14 days, however, there was a poll on how long it takes and some people said it took less than 7 days for their books to arrive at their doorsteps. :) It might vary though, because sometimes my books are delivered by Royal Mail, sometimes by Österreichische Post.

I almost always do Amazon, fiance has Amazon Prime so we rarely have to pay shipping and we get our orders in 2 or 3 days.

It depends on how impatient I am. :B If I don't mind waiting, I get it off Amazon. But I also love going to the local bookstores, especially the used ones.

My favorite bookstore of all time would probably be the Strand in New York, though--I strongly recommend it to anyone near the city. It's basically three floors of books. I was there last week and brought home a great selection.

The Book Depository - If I prefer a UK cover, this is usually the best route. They also have great, comparable online prices to US stores like Books-A-Million and free shipping. Sometimes they'll e-mail out coupon codes and may also send free bookmarks with your order.

Books-A-Million - For whatever reason, it's much cheaper to order books online from this store than to go in person. I also subscribe to their rewards program, so I also get frequent coupons via e-mail. This is the quickest (free!) delivery method for me when I want a lot of books in their US covers.

Book Outlet - AMAZING deals. They charge for shipping, but if you buy a lot of books at their super low prices it all evens out to a hugely discounted buy. They also offer coupon codes from time to time.

Amazon - Very rarely will I purchase from Amazon. I last bought books there back before finding The Book Depository. I don't particularly recommend them for anything other than e-book purchases.

I usually order books from Amazon's third party companies (ie: the penny books that you only pay shipping for). I really prefer not to use Amazon, considering there are better companies to buy from, but it's pretty cheap... :/

I've discovered a couple used book-stores in town that are nice, but they typically don't have the books that I want to purchase.

Barnes and Noble is my favorite "higher end" book store, but it can be expensive.

I get a lot of mine from Amazon. If there's a mass-market paperback edition, it's usually on there for relatively cheap. I can't afford actual bookstores currently or I'd get my books from them.

Book Depository due to their competitive prices and free shipping. If I were looking at purchasing Japanese books instead, I'll head to Kinokuniya's webstore to purchase the books. c:

I work at a used bookstore, so I typically check there first. If I'm out of luck, I wait. Either the book will come in eventually or I don't need it as badly as I thought, or I'm so desperate I'll go to a retail bookstore and buy it full-price. Eek. I did that for Robin Hobb's two most recent publications, I hope she enjoys my money. ;D

I used to order them from the bookshop near my sisters house but it shut down so I just order them on ebay now. Or I make the trek into the city and buy them physically from there. That book shop is just... jaw dropping.

I don't mind buying used, so I have found some really good deals on eBay and Amazon on books that have been out of print.

Also, there is a Half Price Books store in my area, and they have an entire section where they have books discounted for $3 and under. I've had many occasions where I've walked out with seven books and paid under $15. There's no guarantee they'll have exactly what you want, but if you're willing to do some digging, it's worth it.

If I am ordering a book online, it is generally used. My favorite site is Thriftbooks, great deal on shipping. I also use Amazon, Ebay, and AbeBooks.
