Wow, this will be very helpful for all the newbies! c:
Oh my, I thought that int bug for stat capped pets would long have been resolved!?
I'm trying to figure out battle sets for particular challengers (Recycle Beast, Wyrmgear and Felibot in particular) as the only Very Hard challenger my Tier 7 pet can beat consistently is Fish Breath Jacques so if anyone knows where USEFUL info about them can be found, I'd really appreciate it please ^^
I've looked on both Subetalodge and subetahq but subetahq hasn't been updated in forever and subetalodge doesn't list weapon stats from what I can see shrugs

Bleh, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I must've missed your post.
Anywho, I would definitely check out the weapons guide I have linked above. It lists all the best weapons. As for your examples, um.... of the top of my head, Forj Tempered Shield worked great for Wyrmgear, Turbo Heater 2000 would work as well, but is less obtainable. Recycle Beast did a lot of Earth, so I think I used Malerias Short Sword, but that's been changed to a higher tier. Calvin Blackmoons Field Talisman might work? Shrine of Apollonia's blessing might be useful as well. I dunno. It might be better to ask in the Set Advice subforum, people much more clever then me answer there.
And as a general note to everyone, I updated and added a section on where to find hidden opponents. Hopefully I got everybody, it's been so long since I've unlocked some of them that I forget. Are Recycle Beast and Saggi unlockables, or were they default opponents?

Thanks! That's what google seemed to indicate, but for some reason, I had doing a Saggi Quest and handing in a Recycling item floating around as ways to unlock them.

That's right! Totally forgot about that. That helps a lot.

You've made me wonder - can it be they once used to be unlockables? Turn in 1 item to RB and do 1 Saggi Quest? May just as well be I am only imagining things, all this monotonous slaying monsters for the whole day has a detrimental effect on brains...
- THANK YOU for making this guide! I actually understand it! Sometimes I read battle information and it all goes right by me...just don't understand but yours is very clear and I had some laughs too :D
- thanks for the advice. I already have the forj shield and I remember using malerias short sword before the scaling to get a kill against RB but she can't use it anymore lol. I just wanted to see what kind of icon damage those guys do and what kind of blocking power they might have so i can choose healers, blockers or attack weapons to suit them. I already decided to wait until my pet hits the 1k even stats or tier 8 before trying for them consistently I think ^^ It's always handy to kno your enemy ;)

He needs healing. Sent you a 10hp healing potion, that will help. ^_^ Otherwise just go to the healer.

Hi there! I hate to be a bother, but I just had a quick question about training. I put my pet, a level 17, in autotraining. Your guide says that Jim can only raise Strength, Defense, Health, and Speed to 2.5 times the pets level. According to that Moz (my level 17 pet) would only be able to reach 42 in each of the four stats. However, over the course of his first autotraining he has reached 50 in Strength (and still has a ways to go). Is this a sort of cheat/glitch that I've unintentionally exploited?
No. It's how it works.
Regular training and autotraining differ. Level gives you the amount of training sessions you get per day with autotraining. In my case that's 4. After the session is started it doesn't care what level you are on, it gives you the number of courses you have paid for. So, even if I only have enough level to get 1 more strength stat, autotraining will keep going. I get 4 sessions and I might (if I'm lucky) get 3 stats each session. Your level will drag behind after training strength, defense, health and speed on auto. That's fine. The only one who cares about level is Jim.
Yeah, unfortunately, with Autotraining, he only trains one stat at a time. Since you put him in for Level, that means you got 24 hours worth of training sessions for level (at level 17, that would have been 28 sessions, I think?). It doesn't train your stats evenly, it just trains the one stat you chose. That's why I kinda recommended training level by hand at first, because getting 1-3 stats per session, it's so easy for the auto-trainer to push you over level 50 and the next training time.
Fortunately, it's not a major mistake. While it'll now take a little longer to train each stat, the first two training time jumps are just an extra half an hour, versus the usual extra hour or more that most training times get.
