You have any advice for Mechalag?
Thanks for making this great guide.. so helpful! I have a tier 7 battle pet and have about 600 battles under my belt but still very informative and learned a few things I didn't know :) I did want to point out that in Section 1, the exp costs for training aren't accurate since they recently updated the prices.
It's fixed! ^_^
I'm so sorry, I somehow missed your post!
Anywho, when asking for advice, it's always extremely helpful to post your pet's tier and what weapons you're trying. As general advice, though, Forj Tempered Machete can deal a lot of damage against him, and right now, for some reason, scaling weapons are broken and will often ignore opponent's defenses, so against defense heavy opponents like him, a scaling weapon will go a long way. Blessings and curses are disabled, so mod your weapons with offensive mods to deal the most damage.

I was just seeking a battle guide and stumbled into yours - very well done! And I really had to laugh about the picture of Jim :D ahahaha ❤️
What I am still unsure about: Is there is a set of scrolls that is recommended for almost every pet? I can't find it listed anywhere (or I am too stupid to find it lol). Learning scrolls costs alchemy points as stated, so I haven't learned a single one so far to prevent false skilling :3
Most battlers use a healing scroll (terra focujin or soothing current) and either blocking scrolls (cobalt eternal or sancturia exodin) or freezing scrolls (psycho smasher or shriek of despair). Some bomb scrolls (fiery death comes to mind, but there are more, I'm sure) are also used. It mostly depends on preference and fighting style. Also, AP isn't "spendable," in that it's gone forever once you use it. Scrolls are unequippable. :)
Thanks so much for your information! I noted all of them down and started to save the money^^"
Oh, I didn't know about unequipping scrolls :D If you unequip a scroll, will you get the AP back? I know I can gain more AP through books and stat boosters, but it's still hard to achieve ^^"
Yep! You'll get the AP back if you unequip :) If you need help crafting a scroll, just drop me a comment, I should be able to craft all of them.
-------- Good to know! ❤️ Thanks so much again! I remember that I read about losing the AP forever somewhere in a board and was totally unsure ^^
I'm gonna try out everything first and drop a comment if I fail :''D
They REALLY need to change the Alchemy Points name. It gets really confusing, especially when you can go to an Alchemist in the zombie underground and raise alchemy levels there, which have nothing to do with your Alchemy Points and just share the same name.
Anywho, just think of them as how much power your pet can handle. Since this question is asked so often, I just may add a section to the Weapons Guide for recommended scrolls.

Bump. This topic should really be pinned, in my opinion.

It already is. The thread itself is not stickied, but it is covered in [topic not found], which is a stickied thread.

I was so excited, I (thought) I reached 1800 points to get to tier 5, but I missed your line:
Yeah, that seems to be a common misconception. I decided to change the Tier info to include what levels you can expect to change Tier if you train evenly, and added a few examples below to help illustrate the fact.

The addition of levels within each tier is really helpful. I'm training evenly right now, and I'm always trying to figure out when my pet will graduate to the next tier. Thank you! :D
Just giving this a complimentary bump. :P
Just a note, the stickied thread links this thread as titled "A Guide to the World of Battling". I kind of liked that better since this has almost the same title as "Ultimate Weapon Guide".
