My main shop has made 2,147,483,647 sp.
For a second, I was slightly weirded out that I'd made exactly the same amount as , but it seems that that's the point when the shop stop recording your total profit. All the shops with the highest profits all have the same number.
O that's odd... shame, would be interesting to see how much it has made..
That's weird that it stops keeping track of earnings. And at such a random-seeming number, not something like 2,000,000,000.
Anyway I've only made 61,174,216 in my time here.

Mystery solved! Because computers work in binary, it seems that it tracks up to precisely 2147483647 sP as 2^31 is 2147483648 (one less, as computers work in 0s and 1s. Somewhat hard to explain simply). For example, this is why we see computer memory in amounts like 256 MB, 512 MB, 1024 MB, etc. So subeta programmers thought you would never need more than 31 bits in memory for how much sP you make.
Of course, , , you guys earned so much money that you proved them wrong :D

Ah, my understanding of binary is very basic so I never would have thought of that! It makes a bit of since now though.
