What's your guys' favorite season(s)?
Mine are fall and winter. I just love that general time of year. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, my birthday... For me, the weather really is an important aspect of my day. Every morning I get up, grab the paper, and look in the upper right corner to see the temperature. I'll either smile if there's clouds all day, and frown if there's sun.
I live in SoCal, so it's usually bright and sunny and... Yuck. Yeah, I actually hate the heat. We usually have an overcast-like sky in the morning, but by about 9:00 the sun burns through. False hope, lol. I really treasure those days where the sun never comes out. I feel so gross when the sun is out, and especially since it's super bright. I don't know, it's just unpleasant to me! It's been hot even in the fall (Indian summer) and I've just had it. Humidity is the absolute worst, though thankfully it's not too humid here, mainly dry heat.
But normally we have a few overcasts in the fall and winter if I'm lucky. I love it when the sky is gray and the sun isn't shining so bright. It makes the day go by faster, and I love to just sit inside and drink some hot chocolate if it's raining out. Overcasts and rain calm me down, and they don't make me feel guilty for staying inside. I always have a good day when the sun's not shining. Go ahead, call me a vampire, I don't care. I know a lot of my friends prefer overcasts, too. I can't wait to move up north.
I don't think I really have a favorite season. I live in Michigan and we experience all four seasons with an equal intensity, so there's not really one that stands out for me. I like the colors of fall and the weather getting cooler. I enjoy the snow in winter, even shoveling and storms. Summer is fun for the warmer weather and swimming and laying out in the sun. Seeing all the new plants come up in Spring and getting to shed the warmer clothing is nice. I guess I appreciate them all equally but for different reasons.
Well that's kind of neat you like all four! I wish I did, actually. I really wish we had snow here, and just a little more rain... We've actually been in kind of a drought, we've desperately needed rain. Our city is very agricultural, so that should explain it. I am looking forward to going to Northern California because it gets much cooler. Their weather is kind of extreme like how you mentioned, it's either really hot or really cold. I won't enjoy the heat, but at least I know it won't be hot all year. Then I want to move to Alaska after college. It's a bit of a jump, but it's always been my dream. Just so beautiful, and the summer is about 70 degrees in the Anchorage area, I've heard. That's the hottest I can tolerate, so it's perfect!
Autumn in Northern Illinois. It's beautiful and smells incredible.
Depends on where I live! Where I used to live in Washington state (...I bring up my home state waaaay too often ._.) my favourite season was definitely summer. It's beautiful, it's the only time of year where we'd get sunshine AND, that sunshine could last until like, shit 10:00pm? Oh man it was so beautiful ;-;
But now, like you, I live in Southern California. I also find summer to be awful ._. I mean, it gets so deathly hot out where I live, you can't even go outside during the daytime. So now, my favourite seasons are autumn and winter, when it's cooler, and the temperature is often just right. The only downside is that it gets dark too early now. As someone who has a tendency to stay up late and therefore sleep in late, sometimes I don't get a whole lot of daylight. :/ Maybe only 5 hours now? Yeah... Still nice when I'm able to go out though.
Overcasts always make me nostalgic for my old home.
Haha, guess it all depends on where you live, how people tend to like the "rarer" weather because it's more special, or the weather that only occurs during a certain time of year. I've always wanted to visit Washington, at least I've been to Oregon because my sister lives there.
Yeah! Summer is pretty intense here. Not as bad as some places, but you know, we've got Death Valley... Thankfully I'm in the Central Coast area, but it has been unusually hot for us. I only live about 15 minutes from the ocean, yet we've been having 90 degree weather. We should be having more sea breeze! Oh yeah I hate how it gets dark early, because I think it's later than it really is, but when I gaze at the clock I feel a bit relieved.
Wow, I'll bet! That sounds beautiful, I have to visit Illinois sometime.
The first weekend of October, my hometown Oregon, IL, has a festival Autumn on Parade. There's a huge outdoors craft show, tons of food, all the little ma & pa stores have awesome sales. There's lots of cool art and parks in the town too. Parade on Sunday. There was a Rendezvous for years, but I don't think they do that anymore. It was set up like old tents and sold old fashiony things. Lots of leather, jewelry, homemade old fashion candies. I recommend going if you ever can.
That sounds so cool! I'm jealous. All we have over here are strawberry fields, dust devils, and once in a while we get a strawberry festival with really crappy rides and there's just little kids running around screaming. Oh yeah and our riverbed is just a dry desert, I've never seen it filled with water. Maybe it'll get some puddles if it rains, lol. I gotta get out of here, it's driving me nuts. Oh well, at least our city invented tri-tip, and that's good stuff.
Summer though it takes its sweet time getting here. I like some aspects of winter, but after January I'm pretty much done with it :p
Autumn and winter. ❤️ I cannot stand heat at all so any hot summer is nothing but a torture for me and spring I still connect with allergies and feeling like crap even though it has gotten much better over time.
My favorites are fall and spring. Fall for the food and cooler-but-not-too-cold weather, and spring for all the beautiful colors. :3
Canadian cold and hard winter ❤️.And spring, minus the odd smell. I don't really enjoy summer, too much sun and too hot.
^ Yes Canadian winters!! It's cold, snowy, and there are no bugs outside. Fall as well because it's perfect hoodie weather. Summer and spring can be too hot and there's too many bugs around (I hate bugs).
I love spring. Everything starts to blossom and it's got a nice smell to it too. Like, a natural, flowery kind of smell. It's beautiful. I like summer too but I'm in the UK so summer can be hit-and-miss. I don't like very hot weather. But we've had some lovely summer days this year, where it's been warm and sunny. I like the colours of autumn. As for winter? It's my least favourite season but I do love the crisp feel to the air, especially when it's snowy, and I love sitting indoors with the heating on and looking out of the window.
110% autumn. For a long time I couldn't choose between the four, here are things I love about all of them, but man, autumn. It's kind of the start of everything and it smells so good and sweaters and warm colours and cool nights and hot drinks and it just feels good.

Winter. There's just this cleanliness that comes with winter, the pureness of the snow and the refreshing cold. I'm moving to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan next summer though, where winters are much more intense, and then perhaps I'll have a new favorite season. But for now, I like winter best.
Fall and Winter! Especially winter, when it rains a bit less. It's just so gorgeous and I love the feeling of walking around in really cold, crisp air. I'm more likely to just stop in the street and look around at how pretty everything is. And I love dressing for cold months--during the summer I get to wear, what, a dress and flipflops or shorts and a t-shirt? Boring. Let me have my sweaters and boots!
A whole lot of people say they prefer warm weather but honestly it just makes me overheated and miserable :(
Thirding Canadian winters! Everybody back home always comments on the infamous Montreal winter and how I must be so cold up here. Lol nope bring it.

I like fall and spring, but spring a little bit more.
Can't stand winter or summer, though. I know that people said they like winter because of that crisp air, but we also get that in the fall where I live, so that's taken care of. Summer's either too hot or too muggy/humid around here.
