I use animal parts if it works for the avatar, but in general I will admit I dislike using them. However, the animal parts are subtle enough in the avatar that I don't really mind.

With that said, personally I like the avatar. I'm not a big fan of the face make-up, but it adds a character to the actual avatar that you wouldn't otherwise get without it.

People will like what they like, can't change that and honestly.. I usually dislike avatars where everything is matched to a T although admittedly I've done it from time to time to see if I could.

Also.. the wadyl and what is considered trendy on that board changes quite a bit all the time so while it sort of encompasses what is trendy.. I don't honestly believe that everything within that board is necessarily aesthetically appealing. It's appealing to whoever picked it, but overall the board itself isn't necessarily the measure for all avatars.

I don't think you should base your skills off WADYL mentions. That board is fucked up as it is. xD

I like your HA but in all honesty your HAs don't change, they're all pretty similar with the horns/makeup/shoes. I can tell it's you when I see it. :P

In my opinion, HA's are like high school all over again. What's 'trendy' and what isn't is based on what actually looks good, it's based on what others say looks good.

Your HA is interesting, and definitely a lot cuter than many I've seen in WADYL.

Those are horns? Haha I'm so totally blind I thought it was part of the hair. Some people might not like it because its different animal parts instead of all cat or deer or whatever and the reason most don't like the face paint is because it is so OUT THERE it makes it harder to focus on the rest of the HA. Plus a lot of people don't like the feline faces for some reason. I think its pretty awesome I love matching colors.

Personally, I like how you used the face paint. It reminds me of your art. :)

Like so many others have said, I wouldn't base your HA off of the Whose Avatar do you Love? thread. Go with your own flow, that's the best thing you can do. If you're happy with your HA, why should it matter if anyone else likes it?

Your HA is based off of Oona, too--I like it when people make avatars based off of their OCs. :)

I personally like your HA, its face isn't like the cut-and-paste HA faces. Sometimes things can be great even if they're not "omgtheprettiestthingever".

You know, the face stuff does make it a little different for me, but it makes it unquestionably yours, and because of that, I always love your avatars. You have a remarkably unique style that I think sort of stands out among everyone else's avatars.

Ivy I love your avatars they inspired me to make more animal and nature inspired avatars of my own. I honestly love the face makeup it reminds me of your art style.

You should just ignore the fact that there are no mentions and no winnings. Most of the HAs I make and that I really love are never mentioned, rated low and so on Dx People telling me it's cluttered when it's not and then that it's plain and such... if you like your HA you should keep it. I really like your HA because it's unique. Who cares about mentiones at WADYL? They don't tell if your HA is good or not. I only had one HA that was mentioned there for a while and then it was gone.

And the real good thing about your HA is: If I see that HA I KNOW it's you! I refer your by your HA not your nickname xD Just because it's unique like I said ^_^

I'm agreeing, with agreeing. Ignore not being mentioned on WADYL! Usually when I mention people on WADYL, I mention only one or two people that make my eyeballs pop out of their sockets and I just can't forget them! But that doesn't mean I don't love alot of other HA's too. I just don't want to spam the thread with ALL the current outfits I've loved! There are just too many great outfits out there, and so many people make new fantastic outfits so fast, I can't post 'em all. I saw your current HA before and loved it! It's rare to see someone using the geisha make-up and still pull it off so good. I have the geisha make-up too, even though personally, I'm not much of a fan of the facial features.. but that doesn't mean I won't love a HA using the item because a great HA can make any item look good using their color scheme, layering, item combo's, originality... You've done that. It's great! :D

I just want to clarify: I'm not a fan of Geisha / Oriental make up period. The Subeta versions are very well drawn, but it's just not my type of item. ^^;

yeah, it's weird, though, because there's this makeup kit (that's awesome!) and then there's the other geisha mct one, thats reallt pretty, but just looks like a regular subeta face with white skin... and people really like/use that one- i guess it looks more /normal/ ?
