You know those really bad shaving cuts you get on your legs sometimes ,the ones that bleed and bleed and bleed. &;Nuff said

Get waxed then. You seem way too persistent against something you've never tried, by my assumption at least.

It's just a cultural thing. My uncle was somewhere in europe(I think) and the women didn't have their legs or arm-pits shaved ,none of the local men seemed to care.

It's personal preference. I always hated my arm hair growing up. It REALLY bothered me. I started shaving my arms when I was 10, then as I got older, I just had them waxed. It gives me this "cleaner" feeling.

As for shaving/waxing down in your privates, it is sensible. When you menstruate, the hair around that area is gross. When you piss, it can cling to your hairs and smell for the rest of the day until you shower. Even if you're not getting some, a big reason for most is hygiene.

Adding to the "it's a cultural thing". My opinions on body hair might be based on the fact that I grew up in kind of a down-to-earth hippie area of canada. Nobody I know shaves or waxes anything other than their legs or arm pits ,if that even.

yeah i agree with the pubes thing because it's just DISGUSTING considering what goes on down there.

i guess i'm looking too much into it. i feel like women are supposed to maintain a look and feel of prepubescence for as long as possible... which includes being hairless.

feels like we're worrying about things that dont need to be worried about.

I make an exception for them. Being completely hairless helps you move faster in the water. I think it's weird for people to do it for vanity, but each to their own.

I don't really mind it if other people are hairy (except for facial hair...dunno why, it just bothers me), I just have a problem with it myself. I was born into a hairy family (werewolves!), so the hair on my head is pretty damn thick, but so is everywhere else :C I shave my legs every so often, though it's rare for me to wear a skirt or shorts, and I also get rid of the hair on (and under) my arms. I was just sick of wearing jackets all the time.

Plus, I'm really pale, and my hair's really dark, so it kind of stands out and I get self-conscious .___.

I shave my mustache, my beard, my nose hair, my happy trail, and my nipple hair. I hate how after I shave my facial hair off it grows back very stubby the next day. It's like I shaved it for no reason whatsoever, although I do trim it to prevent growth occasionally.

My nose hair gets really annoying, especially if I have a runny nose. Then I've got snot stuck on the follicles. The scissors I use will hurt like hell if I poke the layer of flesh on the inside.

I shave my happy trail since I don't exactly like the idea of a hairy belly. Some people may be comfortable with it but not me. When I stretch, the last thing I want people to see is my happy trail, looks out of tone.

Sometimes my nipple hair grows out to be an inch long then it's time to cut it off. I think it looks freaky to have hair follicles growing out of you nipple, especially if other people are looking. If I walk around shirtless, I think it would be quite odd to have it stick out so I trim it off. Fortunately it's only five follicles that need to be cut off and it's quite painless but irritating.

I have mixed opinions on body hair. For men, facial and body hair is great. I just think of hair on bodies as a manly thing, so on women it just looks and feels (I hate being hairy pretty much anywhere; razors are our friends) misplaced and unattractive, to me.
