In general, I think my HA looks a lot worse because of the zombie skin. >:| I'm tempted to use a Lamouracillin but.... you never know the perks zombies may have in the future. ;D

I usually try to incorporate the zombie skin with the theme of my avatar, but it's really difficult sometimes. T_T

Yeahh lol has happened to me a lot on a different website though... STARDOLL :D! a lot of people visited my doll and always expected me to have some amazing creative outfit. But day after day i got lazier and lazier...then one day i quit all together... i spent over $100 on my ''stardoll'' This is REAL MONEY! ill get back on my ''stardoll'' sooner or later.... maybe this summer ill start spending more time on it ~

Perhaps choose a certain item of clothing. That's what I did. I couldn't think of anything and I decided to use my newly bought aphrodite gown to make an HA and somehow it click in my head as i was trying things that i should make some sort of fairy lol.

I know how you feel, thus far I have had only...two or so HA's that I have been pleased with fully...this being one of them. I generally stick to the rule that others seem to--have a central item and then try to work around it. Usually my HAs end up being extremely plain..but I like them, and I suppose that's what counts.

As for getting out of a slump...I usually get back to the basics, and make very simple avatars that I like for a while...then...work up...find a way to give them something a little tricky and new.

I feel like an artist---I always over criticize myself and am never happy with me work even though everyone else like my work. x3

I just fall back on an HA I have saved and experiment with everything. You never know what might come out of it.

I'm actually in a slump right now, ha. I hate them.

I always get into HA slumps :c but when I finally come up with something worth trying to make, I run with it~ Usually that works and I make a completely different HA then I planned. If that doesn't work I just go to HQ and make HAs on the generator When all else fails, I just buy me something new ;D

I'm always in an HA slump. But I just try and try till I get something good and I live with it for a little bit. And if I can't get anything out of my imagination I force my friends to pick a wig I should make an HA for next. (and sometimes, like , I just buy myself something new if I make some more sP)

I hate it... I went through that for a long time. I actually kinda like my current one.. kinda all based around the eyes and shirt haha

When I get in a slump I just find an item that I haven't used in my wardrobe and find all the items that possibly match it in my wardrobe and if I'm not satisfied by then I go to All Clothing in Subeta mode and finish the HA. If I don't like which road it's going down I start over or find a new item, and if that doesn't help I splurge :P I go into the Advertising forums and look at tons of topics to find items that interest me and I buy them at reasonable prices so I won't go through an sP slump xD

For me, I usually just wait until inspiration strikes. Or just switch the gender of my avatar. That usually kick starts me into creativity.

What I do is that I'll make like 5 avatars. Not be satisfied. And then go on arvee and make a cheap avatar. (2 mil or less not including things I already have.) With a concept. I know people don't like avatar generators but oh well. I enter contests so much it's kind of like I have to.

Plus I look at what my buddies have down. I can always find something interesting that they're doing that will spark my interest to do something.

I think we all have periods of dry spells when it comes to avatar creativity. I think one of the many ways to try and overcome the lack of inspiration is to simply choose one item from your inventory and go from there. You could also try to close your eyes and select random items from a 500 item page and see what shows up on your avatar. That can be quite... therapeutic as well as entertaining.

I just wear what I want. Sometimes it doesn't change for months, then I'll change everyday.

I have too many clothes. I'll get in a slump if I want to wear a particular item, but nothing matches it. DX

I was never good at making HA's

When I have that problem, I just start a new HA, and work at it for a few days. It's a long time to work on one (for me), but it pays off in the end, because by the time I've finished that HA, I (usually) love it, and feel very inspired.

Im in one right now (see use of two hats plus a wig. gawd it looks aweful!)

I get in slumps all the time. In fact, I barely got out of another one just last week. (This is my birthday avvie, btw. I just wanted something casual for my 21st on Tuesday :P )

Anyway, when I'm having an HA slump, what I usually do is go to my wardrobe and pinpoint a single item to try and build an HA around. Sometimes I go in a completely different direction and end up not even using the item I originally thought of anyway. I clear my avvie, put on the one item, and find other items that kinda match it. Change things around, maybe throw off some stuff, and voila, new avvie. :D

And oh yeah, when I just can't freakin' think of anything, I usually slap on a casual outfit and my Arien Guardian Talisman or something. Love that little chibi ram ^^ ❤

I hit HA slumps way too often. xD
