How do the Dripping Gelatine Vials work? I see options to use on pet and use item. Use on pet is play and use item transforms into Throwing Vial?
The throwing vials are meant to only work randomly and when they don't you get "... Throwing Vial gives you the 1"?

They are all "once per battle."
I only say that with quotations because they once per battle, but they also have a chance to spawn the same identical vial in your weapons.

to get one of the five vials, you use the "Use item" option :)
