Thanks to our school system, 5th-13th grade are located in the same building. As far as my experiences go, no one cares about the other and there're no major problems between the grades.

LOL. Yes. High school girls are sluts. But then. So are a lot of college girls. It was 20 degrees the other day and I saw this girl (lol, a blonde actually) walking past the dean's office in the shortest little skirt I'd ever seen and tube top. You don't wear shit like that in the middle of the winter. O_o What a whore.

...I was 10 in 5th grade, but then I started school a year early or some crap. Most fifth graders are 11 or soon to be turning 11. Eighth graders would be 13 and 14. It&;s really not that much of a gap, the same as high school really (grades 9-12).
It's not too much of an age gap, yes, but there are many...different interests between these ages. At 10(well I was 9 in 5th), my friends and I were still playing with dolls and little toy animals. At 13 or 14, Everyone is talking about celebrities, and their boyfriens/girlfriends, and wearing super short skirts and too much makeup, and...ya' you know. Plus, this is really sudden, we only got this notice about a week ago. :|

I'm in 5th grade and my grade is with the 6-8th graders. We just stay away from them and most 5th graders are friends with the 8th graders. Its really no big deal.

LOL. And a freshman and a senior in high school are thinking of the same things? When I was a freshmen it was still video games and sleepovers. Then senior year... Don't let me get started... -_-

I went to a small private school that was K-8. I was there for all 9 years. It was fine. Don't worry about it. The older and younger kids ignored each other for the most part. :)

...Well, that's terrible. I:

My school is cutting all field trips, plus outdoor school for the sixth graders. I raged so hard.
