I haven't accidentally donated yet, but I think it couldn't hurt to make it a little more foolproof. Maybe making the button columns a different colour would help? ie: the shop column would be red, the donate column blue, the vault column green, etc. I don't think it would slow down the site at all and I think it would be pretty easy to do.

Really, I think it would be way better to be able to attach the spray, trap, and discount cards to your account somehow. That way no one would be able to donate them. :/
That idea had occurred to me, I'm so with it, because I really quickstock a lot throughout every day and - as mentioned before - having to click those 3 items plus a few snowballs to prevent the expensive items bein stolen by the Rogue, every time is a sheer annoyance - and that is slowing ME down.

Aww that sucks. Good thing I don't own a trap or a spray, so I don't have to worry about that sort of thing.

I like the idea someone mentioned, and I'm wondering if maybe it got skimmed.

Everyone says that they don't want the confirm pop up because it's an annoyance.

Someone above mentioned having it activate only when those important items are selected, such as the trap, spray, discount cards, etc., meaning the pop up doesn't appear if you don't toss those specific items.

Maybe have a set list of items that won't be tossed unless confirmed, and no confirmation with other items. I dunno.

I like that. I don't think anyone could do it, but it's a nice consideration.

Sorry to hear about your loss though. Maybe someone will see this board and toss them back?

Yeah, I think a new feature that's been mentioned above to keep your special items safe would be nice.

Maybe someone should add it to the suggestion center? I'm lazy, or I would. P:

The aforementioned way to keep items in your inventory safe seems like a pain in the ass to code.

What it ultimately boils down to is: double checking as if your life depended on it.

but what if certain things are special me? then it'd be abit hard and I think it might slow the site down. Usually I just take the time to go through each item individually

I only explained it that way because I figured everyone thought it would be an every.single.time. thing. I don't see myself donating to the DC anytime soon(and I don't think a lot of people do it either), so I don't see how it would slow down the system that way. Maybe I'm understanding it incorrectly?

Items special to only you are a different situation lol I never thought of that. :P

Keep in mind too that some people find it a hassle to go through every single item twice, thrice, and quadruple times, so maybe THAT'S the hassle for them? I certainly would see it as an inconvenience that I have to double check everything because some people don't like to click an extra time..

I guess as long as you aren't coding it, there's no pain? Isn't that what programmers are paid to do anyways? Code things?

Yeah, I won't be coding it and I don't expect to see anything regarding the donations of traps/sprays/discount cards either. I still feel like to those who accidentally donate their sprays/traps that it's their own fault. I own one of each myself, but I don't expect to donate it ever as I'm careful. Hassle? Sure. Your fault you donated it.

Maybe if the donation selection row were differentiated from the others, to make it more obvious that you're clicking the wrong row.

That sounds like a great Idea --- like an eye searing hot pink or yellow or green shading someone that would SCREAM atcha DONT CLICK HERE ACCIDENTLY

50 or more times a day? Subeta uses up much too much of my time already, because everything worth while became so expensive and I need to play way longer than the initial 15 minutes a day...

Why or even how are you stocking your shop 50 or more times per day (I see the how, I just don't get why someone would do that over and over again)? Why not just collect throughout the day and right when you sign off, put everything in your shop? It might seem somewhat inconvenient, but then again, so is accidentally donating your spray and trap after stocking your shop 50 times a day.

If it's such a hassle, you have two alternative options given already, it just seems like you're stubbornly ignoring them because you're not getting that pop-up you want, even those other options mentioned would work fine.

lol, because I fill up my inventory that often, I HAVE to quickstock. I am not stubbornly ignoring anything - this is the bragging and complaining forum, I'm simply carrying on the conversation about something I've been concerned with for almost ever and which has now at good last happened to me. We are simply debating possibilities and what ifs.

Sorry for your loss BoaConstrictor.

I find it really interesting that there are two threads in B&C at the moment, by two different people who accidentally donated their trap & spray. What's interesting about it that the two users took completely different positions and posted threads with completely different vibes. The other interesting thing is that the other poster ended up having his trap & spray returned to him by the people who snagged them in the DC.

I agree with Tche and others who have expressed the opinion that a pop-up confirmation would do no good, and in fact would slow things down. However, if there are a bunch of you that feel it would be a good idea, I hope you've used the Suggestion and Idea Center and made your ideas known there.
