Hm, not a hobo but a pretty strange guy on a bus. My friends and I were sitting on the top floor of a bus going back from town. I was turned around in my seat talking to them. I noticed this guy from the corner of my eye that kept looking at me. He looked like his face had been beaten up, he had stitches an bruises. After a while he caught my eye and smiled at me. I wasn't sure if he was mentally retarded, drunk or stoned, but I smiled back just to be polite. "You've got a nice smile on you" he tells me. I smile again awkwardly and try to join into the conversation with my friends again as quickly as possible. The bus was starting to get pretty full so this other bunch of girls came on and one sat beside him. I noticed he had started talking to them and they were kind of like 'what the hell..?' but replied anyway. When it was his stop, he half stood up and wrapped his arms round the girl that sat next to him and kissed her neck! The girl squeaked and curled up, and eventually he moved on. When he passed my seat, he tapped my on the shoulder again and again for half a minute. I just sat there staring at my friends and trying not to laugh. Finally he got off the bus and we all just looked at eachother and burst into hysterics.
Lolz. It was fairly funny. Not as good as yours though, haha (:

I was in downtown Denver and there was this hobo yelling at his cup. he was going, "GET OUT! COME ON, GET OUTTT!" the cup was empty. o-o
and this one time, I was taking a walk and I went past this man that I'm pretty sure was a hobo. He was just standing there facing a lake. But on my way back, he walked up to me mumbling something, and when he got closer I was a little scared because it was getting dark and I was alone... so I walked on the street instead (he was on the sidewalk) and when I went past, he said, "LOOK AT ME!!!" so I was like 0-0 and then he said, "it's okay, you look nice." so then I speedwalked/ran home. I'm thinking he was drunk, but I don't know.
I'm not fond of hobos, but I don't mind them too much. One of my uncles lives that way by choice, and when I was little every couple weeks my mom and dad would make a big dinner for him and his homeless friends.
Sure a lot of times they are smelly and dirty and stuff, but for the most part I've found them to be decent people. Just avoid the crazies and drunk/druggy ones.
Actually it seems really sweet to me that he kissed your hands-- though I can understand why it would creep you out. He's a dirty man you don't know and he's putting his lips on you.
I would of freaked out in be screaming for hand sanitizer in my head but it was very nice for you all to get him things! ^^

When I went on my class trip to Ottawa we had a hobo incident. We were walking back from the Hard Rock Cafe and we happened to pass a food center for the homeless. There were about ten hobos just randomly walking around that area, and one of them started to follow our group. He began singing to himself and swinging his arms around, but then he started to say some pretty inappropriate things to us. He called my friend a "Beautiful wild woman". xD When things got a little out of hand one of the teachers distracted him while we kept walking. It was pretty scary. TnT

I think that was sweet of you and your mom to buy him some hygiene products... I'm never quite sure whether people are -actually- homeless, or if they are just pretending :s When I drive off the highway, I always see these two people with signs.. but they always change their clothes, and have parkas and stuff when it rains... So I'm not sure if they're actually homeless, or if they just like random freebies from strangers :s I'm probably more likely to help someone if I could tell the difference :s
