Maybe it's some little middle schooler who's done with school and bored already.

Thats why I always pay for art after I get it or if its a artist I trust like one I am dealing with right now I pay upfront

But stealing art is dumb its cheap to get and its great I paid 3 mil for 3 pet profles and she updated the coding on two already existing profiles and a user lookup

They should leave the Internet forever.

Honestly, what does one gain from claiming other's work as your own?

Art thieves suck. But good thing Art forum is a small, close-knit community, so we sniff out the scammers pretty quick. Hurrays for the art forum poleeece.

It has never happened to me, but it happened to my friend: she made a board about buying art. One person showed up with a super-amazing piece and said that she has only one example. Next day my friend got a mail/commnt with link on deviantart of somebody's art dump and it had that super-amazing piece and a lot of more in there, but the artist clearly said that she doesn't have any more examples. -_-

And how said don't forget the graphics stealers. It has happened to me, pretty horrible feeling.

oh man, someone messaged me telling me that some user stole my forum set and was using it.

so i searched for one of their posts via their most recent topics. and this girl actually made a selling board in the art forum with a few examples. they were just badly photoshopped photographs (which she was trying to pass off as actual drawings), and one random really good realistic piece of work that clearly wasnt hers. she even said she wanted to be paid first before beginning because she was scammed before. lulz

someone left a comment asking her name was _________ (the actual artist who drew that realistic piece). she didnt reply and she was frozen not long after lol

I thought real artists SIGNED their work?

I would think if they did this wouldnt be an issue.

Art thieves often will cut out/edit out signatures and watermarks. There is only so far as you can with watermarks without completely ruining the picture for the public.

I've dealt with several art thieves. Their logic is absolutely stupid. And as a hard working artist myself I wish they would all die in a fire. :/ I have NO mercy for stupid art thieves.

I haven't had much dealing in art yet on here. But I wouldn't pay till after I got a sample of the image. Preferably a sketched one. I like to see progress in things like that. That way people can't just be like LOL THIS IS MINE. And, not to mention, most art styles are really unique on here so you'll know who it's really by. Tight-knit community.
