Right now I would prefer my laptop, but that could be because I just got it tonight lol. I suppose I like features of both desktop and laptop though.

The touchpad annoys me. And I like my laptop because some days I just don't feel like sitting at a desk.

There are few things I enjoy more than lounging on the couch while surfing, so I definitely have the most love for my laptop.

I have desk tops @ work, but i love the portabilty of my lap top :)

Both kinda. I've only really had desktops though. Now we are down to one and its in the living room, no privacy. I would much prefer a laptop so I can hide in my room, that and I like the portability of the laptop.

I don't have room in my room for a desktop. We recently downsized to a smaller house.

Well, I have a laptop, but I use it as a desktop since something went wrong with the battery or whatever and the power supply was hardwired right to the motherboard, so it has to be plugged in for me to use it.

I do like desktops, though, since they're usually more powerful than laptops, but laptops are portable, of course. I'm actually getting a netbook in a couple weeks :D

Laptop. A lot easier to carry around, don't have to be in any one specific place, the sheer privacy you can have from it. Easy to protect (from evil big sister or little nephews). This hurr laptop is mah best buddeh.

Laptop most definitely, mainly for convenience.

I love both, my desktop and my laptops. When I'm at home and want to do some "not study-oriented" stuff (surfing, playing games, ...) I prefer my desktop, because the monitor is much bigger and it's more comfortable to work on. For serious study work I always use a laptop, since this way I can easily take my work with me when I go to university or visiting my parents.

Laptop

I love my laptop. I have had problems with my charger dying though. It kills me when my baby is dead for a week or two because I have nothing to power it with.

It's great being able to take my work with me just about anywhere nowadays. While I'm home from school and not in the sticks there's plenty of places with free wifi, so I can be a bum somewhere other than the house :P

I use a laptop and prefer it for portability, though I still love Desktops too. It all depends on what you're using it for. Desktops tend to be a bit more stable for games, but I have a gaming laptop. Only problem is I had to get it with Vista which can be a bit finicky sometimes. Fiance has a Desktop with XP on it so it's all good.

Short version: Laptop.

Definately laptop. I can seat in a nice comfy place and it's easy to connect to my TV for watching movies.
