You could have adopted any of the other pets in the pound for this. And you wouldn't be wasting space for people like me who are actually hoping to find nicely-named pets for fostering purposes.

It's okay though, don't feel bad, you just added one more to the list of six thousand, three hundred and twelve pets that I'm currently refreshing through! It's not like you made my day EXPONENTIONALLY harder at least! :) :) :) ... :x

Okay, seriously, this is a huge pet peeve of mine because it's something you see ALL THE TIME on Neopets. I saw an awful lot of it when there was that kumos achievement a little while back. I know some of you are going to think I'm overreacting, but it's just rude to make other people's lives harder for no reason. It's only a few more clicks adopting a pet that already exists and it makes life loads easier for other people out there who adopt pets just to zap them and put them back in. :(

Thank you for listening to me complain - I love the pound and all the lovely pets therein but I don't want to see names like "fdsgdsgfdgds" (that's a common ontra by the way) become commonplace like they are on Neopets :P

Also, can someone tell me if it's acceptable to make a ticket requesting some pets in the pound be deleted? I keep noticing pets that were obviously intended to be special characters, but it didn't work: &;rin Sheet&; Cal&;donia Stelli&;ka &;&;&# &;&;&# &; &;&;&;&

Is anyone really going to be wanting those pets? Is there any way I can politely ask for them to be cleared out? :) [center]

Is it possible some of the sudden influx of pets had to do with the new Priggle? ;) For people with no free pet slots I'm sure it was tempting to dump a pet instead of waiting for the elixirs to come out/come down in price.

Totally agreed. Sometimes I wonder about the stupidity of people. They should make some sort of limit on how many pets you can create in one day. Im sure quite a few of those were made and gotten rid of pretty quickly.

OK, technically you ARE right - my subeta life would be a lot simpler if I didn't zap pets and I'd make money much faster (no more wasting wiz tokens!) but I don't know if I'd be having as much fun ;)

There's something really nice about getting a great zap - why would I want to let that feeling go just because I'm done with MY pets? :P I just RRRRAGE when I see people filling the pound up with boring pets that they didn't even INTEND to keep after its quota of achievement silliness was fulfilled.

Ew. I am guilty of creating pets for names but when I do so I have plans for them - when you create a pet that your only plan is to throw it away... :s That's just wrong. I know that some people think it's crazy to have some sort of emotional attachment to a virtual pet but honestly it can be no different than a real pet for others.

Maybe it's time to spay and neuter our pets? :P

I think older pet names were cleared in the past month or so. Maybe people dumped some of their previous pets to create new ones, especially if they couldn't afford the Enchanted Hypnosis Wand.

I also wonder how many pets were dumped into the pound when people didn't change their passwords the week before like they were told. O_o

Actually, I think I'll go ahead and clear the pound. :D

wow i just went into the pound and there are 6328 pets in there that need to be adopted. and half of the ones i came across have numbers and symbols and stupid crap for their names,.

its a good thing keith said he is going to clear it out. unless he already did and it filled up that fast again. >__<

....and I was just going to volunteer to euthanize some of the adoption center pets.

One of my hobbies on Neopets was pound surfing (Mostly because I couldn't save up enough money to paint pets myself.), and oh boy, did I come across some rotten names! I remember one occasion when I found a Lupe named C*_*T_Fu_cker..... giggles madly It was swiftly deleted, but it was still nice to see someone get through their mad filters.

Anyway, I don't want the Subeta pound to go the same way. It's not like we have 50 million pets here-there's still plenty of wonderful free names to choose from, so why resort to something like 'sdfsg89'? It guarantees the pet will be stuck in there forever, and if enough of them pile up, it could start to effect the entire site.

ugh i hated seeing them on neo.. subeta should have a rule like with neo where if you create a pet you are stuck with it for a little while at least...

I don't use it anymore anyway, but it's a total eyesore whenever I get bored and wander over there. And they're just taking up valuable space. I remember when there were usually under 50 pets in there at one time. The lowest I've seen it was 12.

Agreed. I rarely search the pound anymore. I would rather search names and create my own pets. :c

I feel more sorry for the pets. There's no love involved when creating pets that are only used for achievements etc. I don't think I could ever put one of my pets up for adoption...
