I think you're never too old to trick-or-treat. My sisters are 24 and 25, and they still go with us and get candy. I'm going to trick-or-treat for as long as I can :)

Well, I don't feel too old, so I guess I'll talk my mom into letting me go! :D

Totally sucks that my stupid private Christian school won't let our hair be dyed unnatural colors, or else I'd so dye my hair red. xD

I think as long as you dress up (and really look like your trying) and go with a group, your fine. College kids in my neighborhood go. I stopped at 18, but Id go again if someone asked.

I am 30, and I'm going to get me some candy. But then I also dress up and make it hilarious. I also am reliving the childhood i never had.... but that's another note. So this year MIGHT be my last year, if kidlet doesn't want to go anymore, that is ... or at least not w/ her mom. I'm going as either a Dalek or Zombie Jesus. Or Captain Vegetable..... I have too many good costume ideas to stop .... :D

Last year I went as Hans Reiser. People were like "wtf .. ?" It was win.

Depends on a lot of things. My mother considered me too old as soon as I became a teenager, but I'm still going trick-or-treating, and I'm 19 this year.

It also depends on how 'fun' it would be, though. For the past several years I've always gotten a group of my friends together and gone with them. When I was 17 I didn't go because I didn't have any friends who were available/wanted to go with me, but last year I went with two friends and it was a blast.

Also, how old you -look- makes all the difference. My senior year I went to a new school and was mistaken for a freshman because I look a lot younger than I actually am. This is why I can get away with going trick-or-treating every year, even if I throw together a lame costume with some stuff I have laying around.

So it's really up to you, as long as you think you can get away with going and it'll be fun, I say go for it.

Dude, personally, I'm 23 and still go out trick or treating. There isn't a cap off on age, though some people will ask "arent you too old?" If thats the case...lie about your age LOL

My last year of trick-or-treating was in the 7th grade. I think trick-or-treating is more for littler kids. Besides, passing out candy is really fun! :) All the cute little costumes! ^_^

It disgusts me when high school kids and even adults come to my door. I personally think it's really immature of them to do. :/ In that case, I only give them one sucker or one mini candy bar. IMO, Halloween is for the kids.

I remember last year, and adult came to my door and I gave him a sucker, and all he said was, "Aww thats all? Comonnnn" No thank you, no trick or treat...NOTHING. He just comes to the door and opens his bag.

I really dislike inconsiderate people. >_<

Um, last time I checked there was no fucking rule book, or law that said anyone above the age of 11 couldn't trick or treat.

I mean, who doesn't love walking around in a costume and getting free candy?

Meh, I kind of agree with what said.

I think it's inappropriate for anyone 18+ to go trick-or-treating. You're basically asking people for free stuff, which is okay for KIDS, but I find it highly inappropriate for adults to do. People pay MONEY for that candy... not to mention the fact that if everyone (adults included) went trick-or-treating, there wouldn't be anyone left to HAND OUT the candy. :P

I'm surprised at how many adults here still go trick-or-treating... I swear I've never seen anyone older than, say, 17 come to my door at Halloween, unless they were in a full-mask or something.

That's just my 2 cents. :P

I think once you get out of college you should stop. But that's just my opinion :p I'll be 15 for this Halloween and I'm gonna try and go trick-or-treating. Then again I look 10 so it works. I'll probably be trick-or-treating until I get out of high school if i can find some friends.

It also depends on how old you look though. I look 10 so I can get away with it. And it also depends on the ages trick or treating around the area. I don't see anyone above the age of 18 come trick or treating around here, so college students trick or treating would probably be really weird to see. then again 80% of the teenagers here are probably at some drug party baha oh nevada how fun you are.

Ugh, last halloween I was fifteen, went trick or treating with my sister. Was dress and everything; stopped by this house were three ladies were handing out candy, they looked at me and said, "Aren't you a bit too old to be trick or treating." I'm not going this year thats for sure. :(

Do what I would do if I COULD FIND someplace to go trick-or-treating. I'm only 5'1 so I wear a full mask and no one ever knows.

They'd think I was 12.

Dammit the 12 year olds are taller than me!!

This is a debate about your area of which you live, sadly. The main issue is: How old are your trick-or-treating neighbors?

Personally, I'd LOVE to go ToT'ing again. I have TONS of costume ideas, and I'm sick of just stealing from the hand-out bowl. But, the sad part is, everyone on my street complains when anyone over the age of 11 goes ToT'ing, because "Oh, they're too old, they need to grow up."

Personally, I find it fun as hell. =D

If you care about people complaining and not giving you anything, then don't do it, just incase. However, if you want to be an individual, I'd say "Go for it!" and have a blast. Just, you know, wear a costume, because no one will give you anything if you don't.

Sorry I would think 15 is too old..I wonder if people would even hand out candy to you..sorry to say but my husband and I dont hand out stuff to teenagers (even if they show up with their little brothers and sisters) ;) I think 12 should be the trick or treat cut off.

We estimate you've spent about 2,127,481,171 sP on presents this year!

I think if you can pull of a heaps awesome costume, I'd be willing to accept up to the age of 90 something.

If it's a crappy wal-mart dress up kit, they can just stay home anywhere under age 10.
