Sure it's a joke...cough
If you post it, it's free game for us to comment on. Personally I can't stand people who do birthday count-downs and make "It's my birthday!" boards. I'm sure that not every one of them is out to beg for items, but that's sure what it looks like :P
As for the topic at hand, if a user mistakenly prices something too low, that's their fault. If I buy the item and no-one contacts me, I'm completely guilt free, the only situation where I could see myself returning anything is if it was outrageously underpriced and the user who sold it had a decent attitude. If they ran screaming at me to return it right then and there or be nasty in any way, I'll keep it, no problem. If I'm stupid enough to muck up my own pricing, that's my fault too. Whoever bought it has the right to keep it and I won't pester them.
As far as I am concerned, you all are being rude. I came here talking about one thing and some of you are turning it into another.
One of the people who works for Subeta (can't remember who) had a birthday recently and had his birthday in his forum posts. Did anyone treat him like this for it?? No.

Nah, the xD is just there to make you look less pathetic if no one offers you that ISS. This is my opinion, open to be flamed.
By the way, 350 days until my birthday if someone wants to start saving up for my Blackmoons Staff

I do think it's pretty rude for a seller to ask a buyer for their item back because they mispriced it. Sure, it sucks, and people have lost a lot of sP that way, but it's also a good lesson - make sure you don't leave off a 0 or two when you're pricing expensive items. As a buyer, I don't know what you meant to price your items as, and it's not my job to know. I do the buying, you do the pricing, and if you screw up, that isn't my fault or problem.
That being said, I have bought some very cheap items that could have been mispriced. Only one did I ever comment the seller to let them know about it, and to sell the item back to them for what I paid. It was a 1k wiz token for 250k (the others were around 2.5 mil at the time). It was an obvious mistake, and I was in a good, generous mood. The seller was very grateful and nice about it (and gave me a wishlist item in addition to the 250k). However - if they had asked for it back before I mentioned it, I probably would have been a little annoyed.
I buy things that are obviously mistakenly priced and just send it back to the seller with a note letting them know what happened. I personally don't like to take advantage of someone else's mistake.
However, I don't think the seller should necessarily contact the buyer and try to make them feel bad about purchasing the item. It's not the end of the world if they do, but I think it's a little rude. I recently sold a skullette for 650k because I didn't think to check the autopricer to make sure everything seemed to be an okay price. It was my loss.... I made a mistake and I wouldn't dream of asking the buyer to sell it back to me.
Yeah, it really is the fault of the buyer, if the buyer wishes to return it, that's really nice of them. You can't expect them to return it to you. That's just how the world works. (:
I don't think it's the buyer's responsibility to contact whoever they bought the item from. If they do, that's really kind of them, if they don't... oh well. Not their fault. I guarantee that if almost anyone on this board found a GA priced at 800k instead of 8mil they would snatch it up in an instant. If they want to contact the seller, awesome, but it's the seller's mistake and their right to keep the GA.
And the birthday part on your post is just a little unnecessary.
Personally, I've been here for a couple birthdays, and I never feel the need to advertise it to get gifts. I've never gotten a birthday present on Subeta but that's fine with me because I'm happy knowing that I've never had to beg for an item or expect to get something from other people. That's just... impolite /: It rubs me the wrong way.
It's different if all of your friends know your birthday and gift you but advertising your b-day to random people on the forums... uncool.
I guess people on Subeta are not as nice as I thought. Some of you people are just being jerks.

Welcome to the internet? ;)
I would HATE it if someone contacted me about a misspriced item. They made the mistake, I had the right to buy it, I would not give it back, it's their loss, simple.

I mispriced a Blackheart Hollow Trading Card once, but never asked for it back. Just congratulated the buyer for the great snipe (sold it for 7 sP) and comforted myself with the fact that it was in their card collection and that I've made someone's day. :)
TBH, you were asking for it. I (and many others) read your forumtext as: 'oh, I'm too lazy to save up for an ISS, so I'll just type this and maybe someone sends me one for my 16th birthday'. It looked like a poorly covered-up attempted at begging even with your excuse that it was a joke. Don't blame everyone else for your own mess-ups. Just because we can be nice doesn't mean that we like/will tolerate rubbish like 'I'm poor, but I want item xxx for my birthday which is in less than a month' around the forums.
If I see an underpriced item in a shop, I'll buy it. If the seller messages me politely to ask me to return it, then I probably would. Otherwise, I bought it fairly and it's mine.
We move against the tide.

Jokes are funny. They make people laugh. What you had in your sig wasn't anything that would make someone else laugh. :/
hmm, I admit I found two mage amulets last week or so f0r 7 k each and I bought them and kept then. I didn't have them before so they filled my collection.
I think I would send an item back if they were really upset about it and it was a massive snatch, but I've never had that before so I wouldn't know about it. Now, if the person was extremely rude and said things, and I've seen it before, I wouldn't send it back. It isn't the buyers fault, but if the seller was really polite about it then I would send mine back. c:
I had my own Sweet Sixteen barely a week ago, and I never had something in my sig saying I wanted an ISS. I actually bought myself one last night. Not to mention, no one forced you into anything.
I am sick of trying to explain myself to your disgustingly rude people. I never put that up to be rude or pathetic or begging-like. I put it up as a joke. I am not lazy, I am not stupid. I can save points to buy something I want. I have done it before, I certainly can do it again.
The fact that you people are bashing me for my intelligence and humor makes me sick. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.
