I haven't read the book and not planning to. But I -heard- it sucks. I watched PARTS of the movie. I guess I shouldn't be the one to talk...? But seriously. From what I've heard and the parts I've seen - THE STUFF IS JUST BULLCRAP. VAMPIRES. DON'T. SPARKLE. Agreed. The cast is OOO-GLY. The story is cliche, but someone tried adding something unique to it, to no avail.

I love Twilight, but I have to admit that some girls do get a little over zealous about this book. It is far from the best Vampire series out there, but hey, to each their own. I love it, but that’s just me.

to be perfectly honest.. i read the book and liked it (all four of them actually) for a while. -dodges tomatoes- but that was when it first came out, and like.. ten people knew about it. from what i saw.. there was no obsession over it when JUST THE BOOK came out. i still like the books, actually. the movie sucked.. i could barely sit through the whole thing when i went to see it in theatres. yes, it is a little girly, for a vampire book. and some parts are extremely cliche. but it's still a good book, in my opinion. -shrug- i think the whole fangirl thing started after the movie, and now 10 year old girls want to go out and read the book because Edward looks so 'hot' (the actor looks terrible to me, i don't see the attraction. =/), and they want to read MORE about how he looks so 'omgsparklehawtness'. o.O

like a few people before me have said; it is just a book. if you let it bother you so much, you're no more in the right than they are. and really.. i'm sure they'll get over their fangirlishness of it all. it was a good story, and i really wish twilight haters would just chill. go read another book and get over your obsession with twilight. because whether or not you like it - hating or loving the book.. it's still an obsession. neither of which are very healthy. ; )

Seriously, I DO have glasses because of Harry potter, I read the books so much in the near dark in my room when I was a kid that my eyes are shot.

i don't understand why someone would knowingly enter into a conversation about a topic that gets them upset and/or angry. it almost seems like self-sabotage. i'm not sure who i'd be more unimpressed about.... the twilighter or the topic starter.

AGREED. I personally rather enojy Twilight. I own all four books, the movie, and an Edward poster. That's just my opinion, but I don't go around yelling at people for enjoying something. If I said I don't like ice cream, would you yell at that?Just wondering because it's basically the same thing....
