- lols. xD ILU.

- thank you C: That made me feel very nice!

- That's actually exactly what I'm trying to get away from. I'm really, really peeved that people tend to look at my work and associate it with anime / manga still. I DID used to draw that way, but I really want to break away from it. I thought I did, but now that's ALL people say about my work and it drives me flippin' nuts. I. Hate. Anime / Manga. I am totally sick of it to the max. I grew out of it like a year or so ago. And I don't want my art to look like something I dislike to much =/ But overall, thank you for the compliment about drawing guys =P For a long time, I couldn't draw women. xDDD I've always just drawn men. xD

I personally like your old style more, for two reasons.

a) It was unique. It wasn't anime. And it was oh that's mutationification. There was no mistaking it. I love your bold colours lines and shapes in the way you drew. And I think I saw more improvement in it. I feel like this one looks more anime-ish and that I've seen a lot before, which brings me to point b.

b) It reminds me of my early art. I'm not going to complain if you keep it, I won't bring it up again, but I just wanted to state it does look similar to my old stuff. I wouldn't want for us to improve in the same direction. Whether you keep it or not is only your decision, but I wanted to bring it to your attention. My Art- Click

And I'm going to be honest, even though I am asking for opinions... I'm probably going to incorporate this style into my old style rather than just go back to my old style. And here's kind of why:

I am kind of shocked so many people like my old art so much. And I want to say: where are these people who supposedly like my art when I open my shops? Because some of you I've never seen in my shops buying anything. Apparently you don't like it -that- much. So for as much as people say they like the old art, I kind of find that really hard to believe. Recently, the only attention I get for my art is when I'm giving it away. And to be honest, that makes me feel like CRAP, because only one or two people out of six or seven actually say thank you.

Not to mention, the reason why I made this change is because I wasn't pleased with my art. As I've said a few times, I was really unhappy with the way I was drawing eyes. I always have been displeased with the way I've drawn them. Those types of eyes are good for my noodle people. But they're not good for my serious work. I don't like the way that they look on my serious work. At all. Like it makes me dislike my work, just because I don't like the way the eyes look.

And I'm not conforming to make them look like 'everyone elses'. I didn't look at anyone's artwork to get them to look that way. I looked at a real life person. Someone I thought had magnificent eyes that I wished I could draw like to convey that kind of beauty.

I am pretty sure that just as many people as you can find that draw realistic eyes on a cartoon face, you can find people who drew the eyes I used to draw as well. I wasn't that original with the shape of my old eyes, to be completely honest.

I start my drawing classes at college in about a week and a half now. And I'm hoping I learn a LOT there. So this may not be the only change I make to the new eyes I've been drawing. I may change them again later on to make them more 'me'. But I don't plan on changing them back to the way I used to draw them. Not on my serious work.

This is the the style I use where I want to change the eyes. Because I think people are confused still. This is the style where I will probably not be changing the eyes, and if I do, barely at all and you won't really be able to tell.

I feel like... the eyes should be the most beautiful part of the face. Not the most boring. And before, they were the most boring. D:

(That rant having been made, I am going to be taking some of the opinions into consideration that have been posted here. I may lessen the painting type feel a bit on later artwork. Even though, personally I really like it looking like this. But I do agree that how it is now, it doesn't really look exactly like my artwork.)

To answer your question about where were people when you made your shop:

I know I've tried to buy art from you before. I would have many other times if I had the money. I rarely get up to 10 mil and for the past 6 months I've had around 5 which I can't spend incase some old commission suddenly pops up.

Some people may not have the money. Your prices are reflect the time you spent on it and some people may not be able to afford it. It doesn't mean you have any less amount of people like your art, it just means that you have less people being able to buy from you.

Generally I don't think people post on a commission board unless they can pay for something or are good friends too. C:

Besides some people go, some people join. The internet is really fluid. I wouldn't expect to see the same croud for more than 3 months.

I don't sell any of my artwork for 10mil, unless I'm doing an auction. I think the most I've sold something for in one of my shops is 5mil.

I've even had DISCOUNT shops where no one wanted my work still. Like, cut prices in half, or at leave taken off one fourth of the original price.

So technically I don't think that really explains it either. xD

I personally haven't BOUGHT any art from you because I don't really buy art. I basically spend all my sp on clothes as soon as I get it, most of the art I get is either not over 1mil, or freeee or art trades. That's just the way I roll.

Basically, though I do like both styles and though the previous style more original, you should really just do what you want to do and not let other people tell you you're wrong.

I know I haven't been here in a while, but I remember your pieces used to be 15 mil. At least I'm pretty sure they were.

I usually only buy fullbody too. And I'm not really one for anime so I don't buy a lot of stuff on here (cause everybody draws me as a rat wolf instead of a rat. ;_; )

Lols. Rat wolf. Shockingly, that came up in a conversation the other day. But it wasn't about you. And it also involved butt capes. xD

My full body images are pretty expensive. But they've never been in my shops. Only auction. And I do that because they're really hard for me to do. If I just went around selling them all the time, I'm sure I'd get better at it, but I'm also sure I'd hate everyone. xD

As for my SHOP prices though, they've never been over 5mil, because I don't sell anything passed a hip shot in my shops. xD

I think it's hot. <3 I really like this new style. And the lineart is so clean~ Did you use Photoshop?

The eyes are gorgeous too. I've never been a fan of huge sparkly anime eyes.

i should really start buying art instead of just superstalking the freebies.

i have always been a fan of you and your art, though i have never bought anything (now i feel bad!) i am glad your style is changing (though i loved it before). it is great to experiment, and it is the only way to get better.

i'm excited to see what emerges from all this!

accusing finger point You thar', where is your shop?! Because it is not for lack of wanting that I have not got any art from you, it's because I don't see a shop from you, and when I do find one (granted that was quite a few months ago now), the slots are full.

As for this new style, I do quite like the eyes and the fading/paint-ish effects of the lines. The eyes are simply grand because they aren't the normal 'draw an circle, squish the bottom a bit, add super-shine and call it anime-desu!' style. There's actually shape which indicates there's some form of muscle tissue around them, and I really like it.
