I don't see a problem with having your birthday in your Forumset when it comes up, sorry. So what if they put it in there for 2 weeks? Who cares? If it's not like:

That's stupid and noobish :x Let people be happy about their fucking birthdays, they are only once a year! Though I think countdowns are a little tacky, but generally I either ignore them of I'm happy for this person ^^

I agree on all the other things except this. Begging for gifts generally sucks, so do skippers on the WL boards.

And the best way in general is to ignore birthday signature if they ask for gifts or whatever xD

I hate when users post in the gift bragging form "omg, lucky! I wish I'd get a present..." Makes me want to send some shit item in a box just because they annoy me so badly. It's rude. :(

You guys need to get a life. You can't control every little thing about somebody. What you think is tacky to one person is not to someone else. You need to realize that different people have different opinions. Neither is right, neither is wrong.

I don't care if someone knows how old I am, when my birthday is, or when I start my junior year. They can't find me a steal from/rape/murder me just by knowing that. And even if they did, Subeta would be having legal issues because perverts are on their site, just like Myspace. XD

I started to think maybe it was just me being a bitch, but every time I saw a forum set with a birthday countdown in it I laughed at their begging technique.

I think it is a very tacky way of trying to draw attention to yourself and your birthday! I am sure most people are excited about their birthday. I just thank goodness they don't feel the need to make a forum set announcing it up to a month ahead.

They other tacky thing is when someone makes a whole board saying it is their birthday. When I see a board titled ' Today is my Birthday' it makes me think of a puppy begging for a treat.

A simple mention of your birthdate or a countdown? Fine, I'll accept it most of the time. A countdown followed by a mention of how poor you are, topped off with an ever-so-discreet mention of the one expensive dream item you are desperate for? Not innocent, and not for the sake of looking for "happy birthday!"s ;)

The only issue people would potentially jump on Crystally...aside from the attitude is because she was displaying she wanted an ISS at first Deli. Changed it shortly after due to some people i guess.

i will grant that people are different from me, however, i find it equally bizarre to stoke a crowd for someone to wish you a happy birthday.... (but i suppose that is another topic altogether).
