Ok, at first I thought MAYBE it was a british thing that 2820 sounded like owls, Then i made my boyfriend say it (hes british) and it still sounds like numbers and not animal sounds....
So...wtf.
I didn't get it until you explained, but now I think it's pretty humorous. ^_^
It's like my car's license plate. The first half is VWL. My husband said it's like Very Wild Lady, but I like to think of it as Vowel without the vowels.

I do not get it. XD Owls go hoo hoo.
The couple of people being down right rude obviously are too self-absorbed to realize that people have different senses of humor.
Personally, I love the redneck/blue collar comedy of comics such as Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy. That doesn't mean that another person's sense of humor isn't funny at all, it just may not be funny to me.
~~~Selling my literal soul for this~~~
I think it might be a Brit thing. I've known since I was about 5 that owls go too-wit-too-woo XD
I didn't get it and even when you mentioned it didn't make much sense. Oh well :D I suck anyways.
Noooooo you don't suck, don't be silly :D
I got it when I first read it :D I think its cute
No wonder they want to get rid of the 'I before e except after c' rule. XD It just is not always correct.
[edit]To be more clear, I am not saying either schooling system is incorrect. XD I just mean that they teach different things and, who knows, maybe owls sound differently there than they do here. XD
It is funny how some people get this and some people don't. I think it's more to do with where you are in the world more than anything. Brits seem to get it, but then again our humour is very weird at the best of times XD
I guess some regions of the USA do too? Depends on the accent and all :)
I went for the 'ORLY' thing too. X;D
That's pretty creative though. I like it. BD
Edit: I read somewhere that males and females make different noises. The male goes 'twit' and the female goes 'twoo' or something like that. They make slightly different noises I think, it's to attract each other or something.
Aww, really? That's incredibly sweet :D
I know, it's adorable. I like owls, I can always hear them at night, we have some living in our garden, and I live in a medium-sized village in England. XP They just suddenly 'moved in' one night a few years ago and now we can hear them at night if we have the windows open. ^_^
This made more sense for me XD
That's cool! We don't have many owls here. We do if we go into the countryside though, but not in our back garden. It's a shame because I love owls :)
Owls make so many noises. I know that, in England, it's a common thing for people to associate the term too-wit-too-woo to the sound that an owl makes. I've also heard them make this sound. It's such a beautiful sound.
