I thought the reason most people want to wear new things first is to be unique and to have ultimate creativity. I mean, after a while, you can't really use an item in a new way because it probably would have been done before. If you get the item first, you have so many unique layering possibilities open at that point because no one else has it so no one else has done it.

, I think layering pieces of clothing, it's possible to be more unique.. but with wigs, there's only so much you can do to it (e.g. add a headband, flower, barrette, hat, hairpiece, bandanna, or sometimes layer with other wigs)

God I hate when people do that. :/ But I guess they're hoping some user will want the item that desperately much and have so much money to blow that they would buy it for a ridiculous price.

Or they're just dumb/greedy/both.

I'm still waiting for the Lililace wig to come down. Dx

But when you layer wigs, it's much more impressive. :P At least to me. And it's not like this inflation only happens with wigs.

, so far I have only seen one case where someone has tried to layer another wig with this teknikolor wig (most people probably opt out on wig layers because the bangs cut across horizontally half-way down the face and any wig with bangs that can show up under it, would most likely have angles and would jut across the face :s) But I agree, I like wig layerings, especially if people are able to make things look like a whole new wig.

Inflation happens to lots of clothes, but you have to admit 40mil for a r.84 is pretty outlandish X-x What's crazier, is the fact people are willing to pay that price... But I guess if you have the spare sp, why not xD

The fact that it is a wig, from Subeautique, black (easy to match/use), and an entirely new hairstyle pushes its price up to 40 mil.

Wearables are always going to get a pretty penny to start with. Because it's something new to try on, work with and make the best HA possible and be the FIRST to use that item in a way that was stunning.

Well I really enjoy layering wigs- especially using the available hairstyles. It's a nice challenge. I will have to try with the Teknicolor ones now, if it really is that hard. >:} But I wouldn't buy any wearable (or any item, really) at such a high price if it restocks. Having it early doesn't make it any more original or creative.

I don't think people who price items extremly high have a hidden agenda, they just want to make great profit on brand new items. Isn't that the best time?
