Recently, it has come to my attention the ridiculous prices at which people are trying to sell newly released wearables (primarily subeautique). I'm just curious, as to why sellers charge so much? Do they actually believe there are users out there who would pay 40mil for a rarity 60-85 item? Are there actually people who are dumb enough to for over such an amount for the item?

Now, you can say, "Just be patient, the price of the item will drop eventually." And to you, I respond, I know this. What I don't understand, is don't these sellers -want- to get rid of their items? You end up trying to undercut each other anyways, so rather than selling for 40m, why not go cheaper around 8-9mil or 20mil? You would still be making a huge profit, and there are many more people willing to purchase these items at inflated, but lower prices.

This always happens too. E.G. When the strands of cinnamon wig came out, and also when the glade potion came out.. If sellers weren't so fucking greedy, they'd probably make more, faster c:

But the thing is, people really will buy those items at 40M, like the Lililace Teknikolor Blackest Black Wig. People bought those up like crazy, and now they are only down to 25M.

It's crazy, but people are willing to buy those items for such ridiculous amounts. Right when the new Teknicolor or whatever set came out, I was on a board in the Advertising forum and someone actually sold the new black wig for over 40mil + some CSC. I was pretty much shocked someone would pay that much since it was around when the set was just released.

But yeah, it is annoying because if people are willing to pay 40mil or more for a single wig, that means the price likely won't be dropping anytime soon /: There are only 8 of those wigs on the shop search, and the lowest price is 25mil, with most of the other set at 40mil or more.

I think it's a little greedy of the sellers to keep pricing the item that high but... what can you do, I guess ///:

I think if you can't get rid of the wig within a few weeks, the price will drop.. that's sort of what happened to the strands of cinnamon (it -was- at 40mil the first few weeks, and then it dropped and now it's around 7-8mil) c:

I remember when ice blue diadem first came out.. I paid 40mil for it.. and then it dropped to 4mil at the lowest, and now it's a little higher ~6.5m :K But honestly, as much as I like wardrobe, I'm not going to spend 40mil for a "rare."

The funny thing is when the blackest black wig first came out it was 20m for the first few days and slowly climbed up.

Truthfully I used to get fussed a a LOT of undercutting. XD I wouldn't do it an extreme amount... But still. I got a few rude comments.

Even so over/under charging people are entitled to charge what they want when they want because that's part of the game. Whether or not it sells is another story entirely! :D

Aside from the first blackest wig, a few sold for around 60m on the first day or so, to my understanding @;

Idk, if they want to spend that much, go ahead. It's a nice wig. Doesn't hurt to be at the bleeding edge of new 'fashion' xD

I don't have the patience to sell things for full price anyway, but if someone can get the maximum for their item, good on them for having the patience to find the buyer.

You pay a premium for getting an item early. Pay more, or don't have it, it's that easy.

Loose strands of cinnamon was steady around 20mill before it dropped. I watched them sell at that price over and over. In forums and in usershops. Never once saw this 40mill crap.

why? I guess you like to buy things soon after they're released, huh... sorry, it wasn't personal. but don't you think it's just a little silly to pay so much for something, especially right after its release? :| I'm not on the cutting edge of fashion, so I guess I'll never understand. u_u

well, /someone/ has to buy it first and /someone/ has to wear it first.

i think it's kinda silly to spend 40 mil on one wearable, but it's their prerogative and pretty much all the people who have that wig work that shit like it's their job.

the only inflation issue that bugs me a LOT are items from current MCT's that people are trying to sell for 9m, even 40m. if i really only want ONE ITEM from a trunk, i seriously shouldn't have to pay the amount equal to the trunk itself to get it, especially if the shit isn't even retired. that's fucking insane and i guess people don't realize that they will NEVER sell those items at those prices.

, I don't think I've seen someone actually buy it for 30-40m, but I'm pretty sure I have seen users try and price at 36m (though it's possible it was a different wearable? -shrugs-).

Sometimes it can get annoying when everyone tries to be the ''cutting edge'' of fashion by wearing the newest items (e.g. when a new MCT comes out), but then people all look the same. The point isn't that I can't afford to pay 40mil for a wig, it's that I don't want to--because I can get it for cheaper later on xD Although sometimes, you wait so long, you end up not wanting it anymore xD
