-joins in with the Avatar bashing-
I don't even think it looks outstanding. It looks real bad on our TV, considering we watched the HD 3D Version. Bad Textures everywhere. And don't get me even started on that oh all plants glow and move, cause thats the most efficient thing in an ecosystem. And how on earth they cloned something based on an entirely different molecular structure to make a human brain fit.
I dislike so many films, I don't know where to start xD That random grimms tales and vampire movies really bore the heck out of me. I don't know why these are all popping up. It's just horrible.
The Dark Knight -hides-
Heath Ledger was amazing. Everything else I found incredibly boring. So much car chase, pass.
See, that's what I love about Bond movies. To me, there is no "best" Bond. It comes down to who people connect with and enjoy the most. Like, I may not like Craig as Bond, but lots of people do love him and that's great! I think who you saw first has a lot to do with it, too. Moore's Bond was the first one I really saw, then Brosnan, and those two just kind of stuck with me.
I'm really relieved to hear I'm not the only one who didn't enjoy Avengers! I thought I was alone in the world for that, haha. LOL I guess I never noticed; I never saw Thor, because I had a feeling Loki would have irritated me considering how much I didn't like him in the Avengers, but if he changed that much, maybe it won't be too bad. ...And if/when I do, I'm probably going to be staring at his eyebrows the whole time now.

Skyfall. It's not that I was critical of it so much as I have never enjoyed any James Bond film, ever, so it's a personal taste thing. If someone asked me about any of those movies, all I'd say is THEY PLAY CARDS AND ARCH THEIR MANICURED EYEBROWS AT EACH OTHER MENACINGLY AND THERE'S GUNS AND I THINK THEY'RE SPIES. ALSO HELLO LADIES~
I watched Avatar for Michelle Rodriguez, and was thus pissed off by how the movie went. Why. Why.
I was ambivalent about Rise of the Guardians. Its pacing just seemed... off. Also it woulda been nice to get the background on some of the other characters other than Jack so that people could see that he wasn't the only sympathetic character. Also why did Chris Pine voice him I'm sorry but he sounds waaay too old. The little tooth fairies were fudgin' adorable though.
I can't remember what other movies I disliked or had issues with because my method of dealing with how bad they are is to completely and utterly forget they exist.
For me it was Inception. I saw it with one of my very good guy friends the night it came out and I kept whispering what I thought was going to happen next/be said next and SURPRISE! it happened or was said. I was able to predict almost the entire movie and everything that was going to happen, even though it was my first time seeing it.
As far as Rise of the Guardians goes, I actually enjoyed it. Probably because I'm a giant kid at heart and I thought the animation for Sandman was freakin' amazing.
I don't understand why it's such a big thing, either. Most of the time I can't notice it. But as long as people keep paying for the 3D, it's going to stay as popular as ever.
I hate a bunch of movies on my hatelist, haha. Avatar was my first 3D movie and it totaly sucks. Just boring, stupid story. But I realy like Sam Worthington and Sigourny Weaver. they should wrote the story. I think Ronald Emmerich is a another word for "stupid movies". Although I like Stargate, because it's.. Stargate.
I hate every James Bond movie. Such a douchbag. The Prisoner is a realy good agent. Oh Forrest Gump... No words for this lame and tear-jerking movie.
Yeah. I liked the general feel of part 2, but the fact that they changed like... EVERYTHING about the Battle of Hogwarts bothers me. First they changed Voldemort's eye color so he would appear more human-like, but then they made him die like that? By turning him into corn flakes instead of a dead human body? What was that all about... D:
gets ready for the stampede I hate all Twilight movies! I used to like it alot (specially Jasper and Carlisle) I dont understand it "hey, i love you but I cant have you because I'm dead and i can kill you for your blood. But i thought about it and I want you. Oh, we like to repeat high school and not college. I can't let you become one of us, okay, ill leave you now" yeaaaaa....and there is a new movie coming out that looks like a spinoff of Twilight, but with witches and mortals instead of vampires. The best vampire movie was Van Helsing! None of the sparkly vegan vampire crap....
Deathly Hallows kind of was a buzzkill. The first part was this emotional and whiny Ron and he goes off and leaves Hermoine and Harry. And the rest is just everyone all depressed and confused...When I left the theater I felt depressed myself. Then the second part came out and it was better, but I think they just got fed up and threw everything together because they were like "hey! we've been making Harry Potter for 8 years! Why dont we just throw all this together, im bored of it"
I haven't seen Game of Thrones, and i want to. Buuuuuttt, my friend told me it was basically soft core porn and just sex all over. I hate that kind of thing.
I hate in general movies like The Hangover or Magic Mike. TO me, there is no point. Movies have to have a point or why watch them?
Also, any horror movie I hate. I hate paranormal and senseless killing.

I really hate The Princess Bride. I don't know why; it just seriously bugs me. I think it's dumb? I don't know! I feel bad, because so many of my friends adore it. I think it's just one of those things: I didn't grow up with it, and I don't find it remotely appealing now.
I also hate Avatar. Like, with a passion. I didn't like it on the whole, and I was forced to go see it in IMAX 3D (IMAX is okay, 3D is not okay with me because it gives me headaches). I got a migraine within the first hour and I couldn't leave, and then we had to drive three hours back home in the dark, so yay headlights! It just was not a positive experience for me at all. (Also, Michelle Rodriguez got blown up, so no more eyecandy for me. :C )
[EDIT] Also, : You should try reading Game of Thrones. It's a huge undertaking, I won't lie. I haven't seen the show, but I do know they play up the sex a lot more because it's HBO. The books are fantastic, though, and it's the best high fantasy I've ever read. Not even in the same league as Tolkien, because Martin transforms the genre of High Fantasy completely.
I was ridiculously bored during The Hobbit, but appreciated the beautiful cinematography and score. This coming from someone who enjoyed the Lord of the Rings movies.

I would also like to second 's opinion of The Hobbit. It was terrible. It completely undermined the entire story, and tried very hard to make itself a 'family movie.' This meant that it didn't have any of the darker undertones that carried the original trilogy. Granted, this isn't the first time Peter Jackson has screwed up an adaptation (The Lovely Bones, I'm looking at you).
I'm one of the 5 people on the planet who actually hated Joss Whedon's Avengers. I love the Avengers, don't get me wrong, and I've liked all of the other Marvel movies pretty well. I just really didn't like how he approached it, because it was very boring and 'ohh look explosions,' so that this really cool superhero movie went the way of Michael Bay. And that's just a sad thing. It also just started off in the wrong place. The acting was also mediocre! Like, did you see the line delivery in the very beginning of the film? It was so stilted, and it's just sad to see that come from such a talented cast.
Hmm, okay. My friend is currently reading them. I have so many books I want to read first (very big cozy mystery fan)

Definitely fair enough! They're just definitely worth a read. :) (Also, you should definitely sMail me about your favorite cozy mysteries, because I am all about those)
!!! OH man, I have so many books to talk to you about! I am going to make a smail now! :D

10,000 BC was probably one of the lamest movies I have ever seen. My senior class decided to see during our senior trip--I wish we would have seen something better than that to cap off our pre-college education. It was kind of fun to see it with our science teacher who just ripped it apart after it was over.

Mine is totally No Country for Old Men...I tried watching this movie two times (Couldn't finish the 2nd time) and I have no idea how it did so well...
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 I was so. fucking. BORED. Seriously, I almost fell asleep and I haven't even bothered with the second part yet.
Also uh, The Avengers. I mean I'm not going to say I HATE it, I enjoyed the movie but a lot of the time I was just kinda... meh over it since I was dragged to see it so often and the fandom has absolutely just drawn it out for so long that I just don't want to see it anymore.
Aww, this thread makes me a little sad, because omg, I love the Deathly Hallows movies so freaking much. Especially the second one.. I could see where people would find the first one dull at times, but I still really liked it. It was the first movie I think I'd ever seen in its standard version in an iMax so all the effects were so WOO IN YOUR FACE. (I actually saw Avatar 3D at the iMax first, but turns out that just made me sick as hell and I had to close my eyes through half of it).
I honestly.. was kind of underwhelmed by the Avengers too. x: I liked parts of it and I liked some of the characters and I love Marvel, but after watching it, I was a little surprised by all the attention it got.
Brave and Tangled were some other ones, and I feel so bad saying that, because I love me some Disney and especially Pixar, but in both cases, but the characters/plots fell a little short of what I'd hoped. I definitely like Brave better out of the two, though.
Just a few years ago, I used to be such a movie fiend and basically wanted to see EVERYTHING that came to theaters and now I just find myself annoyed by the sexism or tired ideas that so many of them spew. : / Most of them I don't even want to see, much less buy anymore.
Game of Thrones is fantastic and generally very well though-out, but yeah.. like Bonnibell said, the TV version of it is very sexed up because it's an HBO series. There's basically a a softcore scene or nudity in every episode or every other episode and there is full frontal on both men and women at times.
The books have their smutty moments too though, and it's a touch more disturbing simply because everyone is younger by at least two or three years. I got about half way through the first book and it's quite good but unfortunately, Daenerys is my favorite character and she's only like 12-13 in the book series. I know it's supposed to be AU fantasy and "that's how things were" but I can't help but get a little grossed out over how often her boobs are mentioned.
