You and me both- the past couple months have been just horrible. It's key to do stuff that makes you happy and have a big goal for yourself. My roommate situation went to shit and she just went psycho- so I have a big goal of finding a wonderful home when my lease is up in May!

But the holidays are lovely, and giveaways cheer everyone up. (:

Wow I feel you so hard on that. In may, both of my roommates dipped with little notice, and our lease wasnt up until september. So needless to say I didn't get my deposit back and ended up moving back home u_u people suck.

Yeah. About a month or so ago we kind of got into a tiff, nothing serious, because at a party she was openly saying that Social Workers are a waste of time and resources, and that anyone who goes into social work is basically a waste of life (P.S. I'm a social worker). So after addressing it in an appropriate manner (saying hey, you're entitled to that opinion, but please don't bash my profession in front of me). I finally got up and left the room, because I wanted to punch her in the face. She then follows me into the other room, and continues to tell me why social workers suck. So, finally the hostess was like "you need to leave, get out of my house". And my roommate left. I crashed with a friend for the night to cool off. Two days later at a house meeting she announced she no longer wanted to have anything to do with me because I was an awful person that never supported her and always put her down. (Also, everyone that knows me knows that I'm always supportive of people, I'm never harsh, and I'm in general nice, unless you're a dick to me, in that case I'll go bitch mode.) So that happened. And ever since then she's been talking crap, making my life difficult in general (blocking me into my parking space then having someone pick her up for the rest of the night, taking up the kitchen on days she knows I'm having someone over for dinner, etc), oh, and icing on the cake- sent me hate mail. Like, an actual letter, addressed to me, in my mailbox. So fun times. Roommates suck.

I've never had a roommate drop out on me, but I always make sure that when I move into a place, we each sign a separate lease. Living in a college town makes that possible- so if one roommate drops out, we aren't stuck with their part of rent. We each pay separate security deposits, etc. That really sucks that you had to move back home though. I can't even immagine.

Hope things turn up for you soon! It speaks to your character that you give to others to bring yourself joy. Thank you :) (Plopping some things under your tree as well, you deserve it!)

Edit: Just read about your roommates! I'm so sorry, it's insane how people can be sometimes. I never had to move home because of my roommates thankfully, but I did have to move. I had assigned roommates my first semester living in an apartment and one girl made a point of reducing me to tears within the first week of me being there. Thankfully I was able to transfer at the end of the three month period, but I pretty much avoided her and her friends as they made a point of bullying me and sending me berating texts. I hope everything works out for you.
