I love the feeling of the season if that makes sense? Like. I love the whole way that people can for once, even if I wish it was all year round, drop the selfishness and drop the greed and worry and care about people they don't know. I used to volunteer at a food bank / soup kitchen and a whole bunch of other things all year round but the swarm of people who would come in to help during the holidays was always incredible. And then I just love decorating trees. I did two on the ship I am on right now and really you could see how much happier and go lucky people were as I putting them up and after wards. It really improved the mood of the ship :>

My wishlist is here but I would love if you could sneak some gifts from this persons list under their tree because has literally been so amazing to me and really have been there for me when I was crushed about being stuck on ship for the holidays. Plus the trooper is sick right now so she could really use a little extra love. Thank you so much if you do that and I hope that you have a wonderful holiday season. I've volunteered at quite a few places around this time -- a library, an art studio, the local high school -- and find that people are ten times more giving around this season. It's kind of funny how just the timing and the feeling of this period makes people so generous, but hey, it's lovely, ,and I'm not one to complain. c: And wow, you're on a ship! Decorating trees! I would say IRL it would be seeing my cousins. I mean it's been hard ever since my older cousin went off to college and it's hard for him to come down for the holidays. When we're all together, it reminds me of when we were little (: And that's including my sister !

I think my favorite thing has to be...well snow! Its something I wait all year for so I can play in it (Coming from a 20 year old) but it is one of the only times a year that my family gets together. And I love the spirit on this site!

I love getting people gifts.. like stuff they'll really really love even if it didn't cost a million dollars. And making ornaments and baking cookies with my momma. :) I'm not gonna see my boyfriend for the holidays (except video chat Christmas day) so I'm sending him cards for each of the 12 days, so woo holiday cards !

And I love snow.

Okay I just love everything (well except how rude mall shoppers are and how everyone is a really BAD driver, esp during the shopping season)

My favorite part of the holidays is being around my friends; my family has never been there for me, so finally having someone to spend them will is...refreshing. I've destroyed my wishlist, but I always appreciate SubQ invites and items.

Merry Luminaire! My favorite thing about Luminaire is the generosity around the site. All these giveaway boards, people giving gifts to random strangers, sometimes people they can't even see in the case of MM, art that they work hard on, and sometimes really expensive things! without even a thought! People on subeta are really generous in general, I've noticed, but this time of year it really explodes. Case in point, this post! and thank you in advance!

I really don't enjoy anything about the real holidays anymore. I'm across the country from my family and can't see them because of money and work, plus I work retail so Christmas = death. Though I suppose I do still love tiny multi-colored Christmas lights! They give me such a sense of peace and contentment and nostalgia.

As for Luminaire, I really love seeing how generous everyone can be with gift-giving (like this thread for example!). As for real life I have to say it's being with family. Oh, this is a fun question. :) I'm actually crazy about the winter months and the Holidays only make it better. I love the snow, the winter sports (skiing, ice-skating, snowball fights), the lights, the special scent of orange, cloves and gingerbread, gifting, and even the cheesy overplayed Christmas songs. :)

What i love about holidays are the lights, and that fluffy feeling you get when you see all the streets full of shining lights, and the trees, and if it snow is better :)) but not the wind, just the snow. On subeta i love everything, the gifting part, and that we get more close.
