My favorite Christmas memory was about 5 or 6 years ago when I got my cat, Holly. My parents asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I said I'd like to get a kitten to be a friend and playmate for my older cat Zena (who has since passed away) and they surprised me by stopping at a pet store that was having an adoption event that day (maybe a week or two before Christmas) and taking me in to see if they had any kittens. I fell in love immediately with a tiny, scrawny little brown tiger striped kitten named Amelia and we took her home that day and I renamed her Holly in honor of her being a Christmas present. She's now 15 lbs. and still a big baby and one of my best friends in the whole world.
