Ahem. I find this message to be rather dubious in nature. Is it not possible that this derangement has spread like some kind of wildfire amongst this organization? Perhaps one extremely charismatic individual managed to persuade others and fill their heads with his delirium? Whatever the case may be, I do not believe any creature to be inherently wicked. My Friend, I thank both you and your companions for your help in deciphering the code. Normally I would not dream of contacting so soon following my last message. However, it has come to my attention that some third and possible forth party is currently running interference. Our group is not responsible for second ciphers or mysterious items with cryptic messages about knowing what to do. Neither do I believe any of our actual opposition have contacted you with alarming propaganda. Whoever is behind this is certainly assisting them by clouding the air with more mysteries. As for myself I have found evidence that the group I am tracking is ancient and has only in the past few days made their movements known. I discovered a piece of what I believe they are using to locate and eliminate unicorns on the outskirts of the polar ice fields. I have sent it to you for safekeeping as I am no longer sure i I can completely trust all of my own men. I will be heading into the fields alone when I finish penning this note. That escalated quickly! I am at a loss as to who I should believe in now, Captain Evergrove. I believe your intentions are noble, and I wish to support you, but have you considered that someone must be intentionally attempting to poison the well, or otherwise spread a campaign of misinformation?

If anything, perhaps a second group exists, one that either serves as loyalists to the ancient group you speak of, or had been employed by the ancient group to spread propaganda. In either case, please be careful. That coded message doesn't seem good to me, still -- the one you sent us from the group member. In your absence, I shall ensure that the Pinklicorn you have sent me will remain safe in my care.
