((Sorry I haven't been here guys, this is the last week of the semester for me and life in general's been a little hectic lately. I'll get all my intros done now though. I don't remember who but I know that my cats Ravensong and Morningblossom are open if you'd like for one of them to be his mate.))

Crowpaw - GaleClan Apprentice Crowpaw shrugged as they approached the forest. "I don't care who I train with," he said honestly, arriving just in time to hear the last of Nettlepaw's sentence. He liked Snaketooth well enough, and respected him as a warrior, but he also liked training with Badgertooth because of the challenge. Training sessions with his uncle were always hard, and often painful, but they taught him things that he doubted he would ever learn from Snaketooth alone. He was stronger because of training with Badgerclaw as well, and he hoped that he'd be a good warrior someday because of it.

Crowpaw listened to Adderpaw and Nettlepaw bickering, and fought back an eye-roll. The two toms were more alike than they realised, and it certainly made them clash. He said nothing throughout the argument though, instead choosing to sit back and allow the two mouse-brains to fight it out themselves. When Tigereye approached the group, Crowpaw nodded respectfully and listened to what he had to say. He knew that the tom didn't care for him or his family much, but honestly, Crowpaw didn't blame him. Half the time he didn't even like his brother or uncle. He tried to behave better than Adderpaw at least, but he could be hard to deal with. "Good morning, Tigereye," he mewed to the deputy.

When Tigereye flat-out told Adderpaw that he was being every bit as childish as Nettlepaw, then ordered both apprentices back to camp, Crowpaw's whiskers twitched in amusement. He ducked his head to hide his laughter though, knowing that neither apprentice would appreciate it. When Badgerclaw said he'd take him hunting Crowpaw flicked his tail slightly, silently agreeing that a hunting patrol was fine with him. They needed more prey anyways, as Badgerclaw had said.

Flickerflame - GaleClan warrior Flickerflame hadn't slept the night before, just like every night for the past several moons. Of course he'd tried, like he always did, but after several hours of nightmares making him thrash and whimper throughout the night, he decided that his time would be better spent doing something productive with his time.

So here he was, finishing up the night patrol. He'd gone alone, which he knew was dangerous, but he didn't care. No one really seemed to ask him to go with them on patrols anymore, but he didn't mind. He knew that he wasn't the best company, cats would rather take the happier, more energetic warriors with them. That was fine by him, he was happiest alone anyways. When he was alone he didn't have to worry about what others were thinking, didn't have to bother with keeping up conversation. Instead, he could just be quiet and let himself be absorbed in his own thoughts.

He stopped in front of the RockClan border and stared out at the forest that, on the other side, was home to a different clan of cats. He couldn't help but wonder whether his sister was there, living out her days with a new family, a new clan. Then he looked above him, where silverpelt still was barely visible behind the pink of dawn. Or was she among StarClan, enjoying the most beautiful territory of all with their parents?

He shrugged off the thoughts and padded back towards camp. There was no point in thinking about the past; what was done was done, and there was nothing he could do about it. By the time he arrived back at the GaleClan camp the sun was climbing into the sky, and a quick glance around the camp told him that the dawn patrols would soon be sent out. (No one in particular)

Bone - Commander of the Vipers Bone looked at Fox, regarding her silently for a moment. "Convenient indeed," he said to her, understanding immediately what this plan of hers included. She seemed to want for their kits to become mates, perhaps so that they might one day produce strong heirs for the Vipers. The idea was an interesting one... He had nothing against bringing his sons to the Vipers, since he'd already been planning on doing that someday anyways. Them being mates with Fox's kits didn't bother him either, so he saw no reason to argue about it. Not that Fox would have listened anyways. "I will speak to Badgerclaw about it tonight. I should be able to have them come to join us in a moon or less."

Kestrel - Healer of the Vipers "Morning, morning, oh glorious morning!" A skinny cream and tan siamese tom jumped out of bed and immediately began prancing around his den, excited about who knew what. "Today's the day, the day, the glorious day!" Exactly what was so special about today even he wasn't sure, but it was special, and that was all that mattered to him.

He sat still, watching with large green eyes as the pink of dawn slowly turned to the bright yellow light of morning, seemingly entranced by the change of colors. Once he seemed to get bored of that, Kestrel ventured into the leader's den to find his sister. When he discovered she wasn't there he shrugged, neither surprised nor upset by that fact, and wandered around camp for a bit. Not many cats were awake yet, which was a bit strange, but he didn't seem to care. "Everyone should get up! Today's the day!" Then he headed back to his own den, where his apprentice would be sleeping near the entrance. His other apprentice had left him not long ago, after a late-night lesson on some rare types of herbs. Now it was time to teach the other one, since it was day time. "My dear Wren! It's morning and we have oh so much to do!"

Midnight - Viper Novice Midnight hissed when she heard Kestrel babbling on about something outside. The healer was completely birdbrained as far as she was concerned, though she rarely spoke about him. Fox would have her skinned if she caught her talking bad about her brother, and her position in this group was uncertain as it was. Being a former kittypet was hard when surrounded by cats that had grown up in the forest, hunting for their own prey and protecting their borders. Midnight wasn't used to this way of life, having to do things for herself, being surrounded by unfamiliar cats all the time. She was used to laying around in her Twoleg nest, being given food and not really having to do anything she didn't want to do. Sometimes she missed that life, but not often. It had been boring, life in the Vipers suited her better.

Yawning, she padded out of the novices den and went over to the fresh-kill pile. Despite being the age of a Fighter, Midnight was still stuck being a novice. She didn't know how to hunt, or fight, so she had to learn along with the younger cats. It was frustrating at times, but she knew that this was how it had to be. She just hoped that she would become a fighter soon.

She picked a raven out of the fresh-kill pile and started to pluck off the feathers. Another thing she hadn't had to do before - pluck feathers. She still wasn't particularly good at it, but she could do it all the same. As she prepared her meal, she looked around her, waiting for the rest of the group to start their day. Surely they hadn't slept through the racket Kestrel was making. ((No one in particular)

Morningblossom - RockClan warrior The cream-colored she-cat crouched low and continued to stalk towards the rustling leaves, carefully keeping her body as low to the ground as she could. Once she was close enough, she pounced, and found herself holding a tail in her mouth rather than the mouse she thought she'd been hunting. Surprised, she jumped back and stared at the sleeping brown tabby that she'd just pounced on. Then, in a panic, she realised that she'd accidentally crossed the border into GaleClan territory while hunting.

Stonestar - RockClan Leader The grey tabby tom woke later that morning than usual, so by the time he was awake the sun was already climbing into the sky. "Mousedung!" he hissed when he noticed the bright rays of sinlight shining through some cracks in the boulders that created his den. Stonestar had been up late last night; rather than going to bed on time he'd stayed up and done a late night patrol before retiring for the night. He hadn't been awake all night, but he had been up much later than usual.

The tom cleaned himself as quickly as he could, then hesitated outside of his den. It looked like most of the clan was awake and about to start their day. He just hoped that Tanglebelly hadn't been waiting for him. He bounded down the stair-like formation of rocks below his den and stopped in front of his deputy. "Good morning Tanglebelly, Cherryflower, Alderfang," he said to the three cats. "Everything going well?" he asked, inclining his head towards Tanglebelly to indicate that the question was meant to be for him.

Tawnypaw - RockClan Medicine Cat Apprentice "Oh, hey Sunpaw, Moonpaw," Tawnypaw said, passing the two cats on her way to the fresh-kill pile. She stopped in her tracks, noticing that they seemed to be heading towards the medicine den. She was planning on getting some breakfast with the apprentices, but wanted to help Sunpaw and Moonpaw first. "Are you guys okay? Do you need help with anything?" She didn't smell any blood or sickness on the two of them, luckily, so she assumed that whatever they needed was for a mild ailment of some sort. Or for someone else, she supposed.

Darkshade and Russetfang - RockClan Warriors Neither of the two she-cats had an apprentice, so they could sleep as late as they liked. Mother and daughter lounged in the warrior's den, in an almost identical position. Stomach in the air, front and back paws splayed to the side, head twisted to rest on the soft fur of their chest, eyes opened just slightly. Sometimes it was unnerving how similar Darkshade was to her mother, even when she didn't mean to be.

The rest of the clan was awakening though, and the noise eventually became too much for the two she-cats. Darkshade was the first to sit up in her nest and begin grooming herself, but her mother soon followed. After making their fur look as close to perfect as they could, the two she-cats padded out into the morning sunlight together.

"Make her get her own apprentice, Dusktalon," Darkshade mewed as she noticed the tom calling into the apprentices den. Once again, Morningblossom was late coming back to camp. She'd probably fallen into the river or something stupid like that. "It's Morningblossom's own fault that her apprentice's training is starting late anyways. Might as well make her deal with it."

Her mother had continued over to the fresh-kill pile and selected a plump-looking mouse, the best-looking one on the pile. That was typical for Russetfang, to always grab the best prey. Sometimes someone would try and say something about it, but nothing really happened. Russetfang was a good hunter anyways, much of the best prey brought back was caught by her. "Fancy joining us for breakfast?" she asked the tom, inclining her head towards where her mother was sitting.

Goldenflower - RockClan Queen The pretty golden she-cat didn't venture out of her nest like most of the clan cats. She didn't feel well this morning, but that wasn't anything new. She hadn't felt good for a long time, not in moons. Pregnancy had taken its toll on Goldenflower, even more so this time than last time. She felt sick most days now, both emotionally and physically. It was a pretty pitiful existence, but at least it was better than how things had been before, with Boneface.

The she-cat sighed and turned over, looking out the entrance of the den. She could see most of the clan milling about outside, getting their breakfast, starting to form patrols. She had no interest in it, had no interest in most things nowadays. All she wanted was for these kits to be born so that at least she wouldn't feel so tired and sick all the time. It would be soon too, she could feel it. Any day now was what Halfwind had told her. Well, the day couldn't come soon enough. Sighing again, she closed her eyes and went back to sleep. She knew that someone would probably be in to check on her soon, but until then, she would get some rest. ((No one in particular really))

Fox - Queen of the Vipers Not knowing what she had expected from the tom, Fox purred and twined her tail around his affectionately. "I'm glad you could be so helpful, Bone. The sooner the better." She dropped into a hunting crouch and streaked across a bare rock, though no prey hovered nearby, then stood straight, remembering. "Adderpaw will mate with Wren, Crowpaw with Nettle. Thorn and Clover will become mates of course." The ginger she-cat's ears flicked around, but still no foliage stirred. "Tell her when we return, and I will tell him. Those two have a quarter moon before I expect them to become true mates." Where was all the prey? Despite being distracted by the lack of foodstuffs around, Fox was able to get excited by the idea of their kits together. "Which of our pairings do you think would make the best heirs?" she asked, hopping up and down beside the Commander.

Nettle - Viper Novice "Well, now, uncle," a voice said, extricating from the shadows in an almost mysterious manner. "What is so important about today that it should be so glorious?" The voice's owner followed it, leaving the inside wall of Kestrel's cave seemingly without effort; she seemed to melt away from it to be stood in the centre next to him without even moving her legs. Nettle smiled at her uncle, then looked for Wren. "Oh, sister, didn't you hear? It's a glorious day! Uncle woke us all up to tell us so." Indeed, she had been woken by him as she wandered around the main cave, and had followed the walls into his personal den. It had been easy, really, to go unnoticed in his excitement. Then she'd thought to surprise him by peeling away from the cave wall. When she spoke, her words held no sarcasm, only pure serious tones; false seriousness, of course, but she would not risk her mother hearing her mock Kestrel. It wasn't worth the boxing of her ears.

Dusktalon - RockClan Warrior As he turned away from the damned apprentice den, Dusktalon spotted two she-cats leaving the warrior den. Though their appearance differed drastically, there was no denying the relation; Darkshade imitated her mother's movements to the exact twitch of a whisker. They were beautiful, that much was certain, each in their own way, but of a surety they were dangerous too. They could probably eat a tom alive during love-making. Still, danger had never deterred Dusktalon before, and he even found Darkshade seemed to encourage him. The raven-grey tom paced slowly towards her and let his pelt brush her's in greeting. "I will, thank you," he said, and gave her a quick grin. "I would that the deputy hadn't bade me way Morningblossom's StarClan-damned apprentice, anyway. He can wake him self, his apprenticeship be forfeit."

( wow! Flooded, sorry if I forgot anything)

The Vipers: Blacksparrow-

"She's always up to something, but whatever it is, it is no concern of ours. We should leave her business to her and Fang," Perhaps he would have been annoyed by her dismissive tone but he felt rather amused than anything else. He picked out the unease in her tone. Was she jealous? He huffed in amusement. She had no need to be jealous. She was his. nothing would ever change that. But if he were king then perhaps he could have the Fox too... His whiskers twitched.

"Jealous are we?" He purred.

Rockclan: Tanglebelly, Thistlepaw-

"Thistlepaw, get your lazy rump out here for a morning patrol!" Thistlepaw jumped in surprise, having just finished his mouse by the fresh kill pile. It seemed that Dusktalon was his same grumpy self. Still, he was a warrior. Thistlepaw obediently bounded over, his mane fluffing up. Tanglebelly frowned.

“What are all those apprentices up to?” He asked, his deep voice rumbling almost like a growl. Thistlepaw appeared beside the little group. He looked over as Stonestar rose for the morning, the leader approaching their little group.

"Everything going well?" His leader asked. Tanglebelly bowed his head respectfully.

“Yes Stonestar. Prey runs well as do the waters. The creeks are quite swollen this time of year. I was just organising a morning patrol for the boarders. I was thinking Thistlepaw, Sunpaw Alderfang, Cherryflower and her apprentice. It is a quite morning so perhaps it would be good experience for the apprentices? Perhaps with the others we could conduct a training session?” He said finally. Then he paused… he couldn’t remember seeing Morningblossom at all that morning. Had she gone hunting? She must have been gone for quite a while. He felt a prickle of unease go through him. He looked over at Alderfang and Stonestar.

“I do not recall seeing Morningblossom leave this morning.” He murmured, slightly troubled.

Galeclan: Hollyfeather, Nettlepaw-

Hollyfeather nodded happily.

“Yes, I think so too. It will be good for her.” She replied. She quickly picked out her vole and ate it in a few swift bites. She noted with a little concern that her shoulder was still quite stiff from her expedition yesterday. Her head lifted as Ripplestar approached, breaking away from the small group of cats. She plucked out a rabbit for Silverpool and wondered if Ripplestar had been given the chance to eat at all this morning? The young warrior looked up at the sound of thundering paws and Sparrowpaw barrelled into camp. Well that answered one question. She barely contained a huff of laughter at the bedraggled looking apprentice. She draped her tail over his flank as she passed the rabbit to her friend, letting the apprentice know they weren’t terribly angry. There were so many cats about! Perhaps whilst one group went for patrol the other could have a combat lesson?

--

"One day, you'll find the courage to act where you speak." Nettlepaw ground his teeth together. He would put that apprentice in his place. There were too many cats around. Later, he would do it later. Just you wait Adderpaw. Something strange churning his blood and for a moment he could almost sware he smelt blood and salt on the air. In a flash it was gone. Tigereye ordered him back to camp. Nettlepaw slowly moved. With a streak of alarm he realized that his hooked claws had sunk deeply into the ground. He shook himself free and made his way back into camp towards Ripplestar, tail still lashing.

Cherryflower - RockClan Warrior It wasn't until Stonestar appeared at her side that Cherryflower noticed him emerge from his den. She bowed her head low to him in greeting, desperate to accord the highest respect to him. He was her leader, afterall. Listening intently, the white she-cat counted in her head the number of cats that would be going on the patrol. She quickly scored five markings in the ground with one claw; is this too many cats? Her head tilted to indicate she was questioning it. Then her eyes locked onto Shadowlark again, the one cat who always knew what she was thinking. Cherryflower hated to be without her.

((I'm really sorry to hear that, Violet.))

GaleClan - Ripplestar, Silverpool:

Silverpool happily took the rabbit that Hollyfeather offered, thanking her. She was planning to save some for Sparrowpaw should he show up, though if he didn't show up by the time she was finished that would be too bad for him. Although if he hadn't returned by then, she would be worried.

As Ripplestar picked out his own mouse from the fresh-kill pile and began to tuck in, though, the medicine cat apprentice in question finally decided to make his entrance. Silverpool breathed a silent sigh of relief, which was quickly overtaken by exasperation. "Honestly, Sparrowpaw, where have you been all morning? I was starting to get worried!"

Truthfully, she knew he hadn't just been gone that morning, but the entire night. She hadn't seen him before going to sleep, and in the morning, the scent from his nest had still been stale. However, she didn't want to make a scene in front of Ripplestar; no need to worry the tom, who had enough to deal with. She would question Sparrowpaw more thoroughly later.

( )

GaleClan - Brighteyes:

"That appears to be the case," Brighteyes confirmed. "Alright, I'll be right - "

The she-cat cut herself off as she heard the pawsteps and caught the scent of an approaching apprentice. "On second thought, why not just let him come to you?" she mewed, grinning. True to her word, Nettlepaw soon came back into camp, clearly irritated.

"Alright, that solves that, though I don't know what's got his fur all ruffled," mewed Brighteyes. "I'm off to the warrior's den, then," she told Ebony, before trotting off.

Poking her head into the den, she called out, "Hazelfern, you in here? You're on the morning border patrol with us!"

( Violet)

RockClan - Moonpaw

Moonpaw dipped his head in a mock bow in response to Burningpaw and Sunpaw's words. "Of course, of course. How silly of me. These lovely ladies have no need of beauty sleep. However, I would still hate to deny anycat their pleasant dreams, so off to the medicine den we go."

He paused for a moment at Burningpaw's offer to politely decline - "No thanks, this should only take a heartbeat, and then we'll join you at the fresh-kill pile." - and then padded out into the camp with Sunpaw. Upon seeing her in the sunlight, he stifled a chuckle as they headed toward the medicine den. "Trying to grow a mane, Sunpaw?" he mewed, amused. She hadn't groomed her bed-fur, and it was sticking out all over the place.

Tawnypaw approached them then, clearly having seen their destination. "Tawnypaw, excellent timing," he greeted her. "We were headed over to the medicine den to speak with Halfwind, but perhaps you can help me instead. You see, I've been having nightmares for a while now. I can never remember what they're about, but they've been disturbing everycat's sleep. I thought they'd go away on their own, but they haven't. Is there some herb I can come and get tonight to take that will help me get a decent sleep?"

(Synesthete Violet )

RockClan - Violetmist

Violetmist exited the warrior's den into the light of day and stretched, feeling her muscles flex pleasantly in the warmth of the sun. As she looked around, she spotted her son chatting with Sunpaw and Tawnypaw, and her own apprentice Burningpaw by the fresh-kill pile with what looked like the rest of RockClan's apprentices. Various warriors were also scattered throughout the camp, and the black she-cat decided to head over to where her leader and deputy were, to see if she was being put on patrol.

"Good morning everyone," she greeted the group of cats, dipping her head to Stonestar and Tanglebelly. "Have Burningpaw and I been assigned to anything yet?"

(I don't think you've thought this through... If sandheart were a rogue, he would probably be busy trying to hunt without being caught and trying to avoid the justice of the Clans, not following them and eavesdropping where he would need something strong to mask his scent from them. Also, I think you need to involve yourself more. Make another cat or two and get stuck in, make your cats just jump into conversations so they have to directly interact with other cats. Otherwise, I'm afraid you may not get much of an enjoyable experience from this role play.)

Ebony - GaleClan Apprentice Nodding to Brighteyes who watch the warrior head towards her den. Then she focused her eyes on Nettlepaw, the perpetually disgruntled apprentice who never seemed comfortable in his own skin. He stalked into the camp then, and Ebony forced herself to smile at him. "Hi, Nettlepaw," she ventured. The black apprentice had never really talked to him, at least not much, finding him almost unapproachable. Instead she'd stuck by. Pinepaw's side. She spoke shyly now. "Ripplestar wants to take us and our mentors on a patrol."

GaleClan: Snaketooth;

Snaketooth let out a screech when he felt a wave of pain radiating up from his tail. His amber eyes snapped open as he got to his feet and tugged his tail out of the strange she-cat's jaws, simultaneously sacrificing a few clumps of fur. He narrowed his eyes and focused his piercing gaze on the she-cat. Unsheathing his claws and lashing his tail as if to shake away the pain, he let out a hiss and immediately lunged foward at her flank. The rest of his weight followed, propelled by his momentum, as he easily knocked her over, pressed her body to the ground with his, and forced a firm paw onto her scruff. Snaketooth made sure to keep her an immobile prisoner, but had no intentions of drawing any blood.
"RockClan, eh?" he snarled into her ear. "Just what do you think you're doing here?"

OOC: Good luck with everything Violet, I hope it turns out well. Also I might consider dropping a character or two; Shadowfang and possibly Dice, I've been pretty busy lately.

Bone - Commander of the Vipers Bone allowed Fox to twine her tail around his, but didn't return the gesture. "I'll make sure that they get here as soon as possible then," he said to her, watching as she dropped into a hunting crouch despite the absence of prey in the area. "Of course," he said to her with a nod. "I'm sure Clover will be thrilled." Whether the words were meant to be sarcasm, serious, or a threat was nearly impossible to tell.

"Clover and Thorn, I believe," he said to her as they walked. "Thorn is a born leader, and Clover will prove to be a strong mate for him. Though I'm not sure. I'm sure they all will create good heirs, truthfully."

Darkshade - RockClan warrior Darkshade let their pelts brush against each other as Dusktalon approached, and even let her tail brush against his flank for a moment. She smiled back at him coyly and began to head over to where her mother was beginning to tear into the mouse. "Agreed," she said to him, selecting a raven from the pile. "Morningblossom ought to wake him herself anyways. The stupid she-cat's probably fallen into the river or something like that." When she looked up she saw Ravensong entering the camp with a mouthful of prey. It was strange for one sister to pop up without the other one, but she shook off the unease and looked back at Dusktalon before beginning to pluck the raven.

Stonestar - RockClan leader "That all sounds good to me," Stonestar said to his deputy with a nod. "I would say that a hunting patrol may be needed soon, but it looks like a couple have cats have gone hunting recently," he said, gesturing with his tail at Ravensong as she entered the camp with a mouthful of prey.

The hair on the back of his neck began to rise a bit when Tanglebelly mentioned Morningblossom's absence though. "Strange, she's normally punctual when it comes to training her apprentice," he murmured. "Isn't she normally with Ravensong anyways? It's strange that there's one sister and not the other." But he shrugged after a moment and flicked his tail casually. "I suppose that we can wait a few minutes. If she still hasn't come back by the time the border patrol goes out, we could ask them to keep an eye out for her."

Tawnypaw - RockClan Medicine Cat Apprentice "Oh, that's easy!" she said to Moonpaw with a smile. "Poppy seeds will help you sleep. They should help with the nightmares and will also make it easier for you to actually fall asleep, if you're having trouble with that." She curled her tail as she talked, happy that she could be of some help to her friends, and also enjoying actually using the information she'd been learning. "You can come get them anytime tonight, either Halfwind or I can get them for you. We have plenty so it's no problem."

Morningblossom - RockClan warrior Every shred of fighting knowledge she'd learned during her apprenticeship left her when the tom barreled into her, knocking her to the ground easily and standing on top of her, one paw pushing her head to the ground. Morningblossom gasped for air, and her heart hammered against her chest so loudly that she thought it might burst. "Y-yes," she squeaked, as she began to shake. "I-I was hunting," she stammered. "In our territory, I swear. I'm actually not sure what happened..." She closed her eyes for a minute, trying to calm herself so that she could think straight. Where was the border? "How far into GaleClan territory are we?" she asked, quickly beginning to panic.

GaleClan: Snaketooth;

The brown tabby narrowed her eyes at the she-cat trembling under his restraining paw. He studied her for a few seconds; she seemed harmless enough and not quite willing to fight. Although seemingly a well-versed warrior, the RockClan she-cat acted quite petrified. Snaketooth felt kind of sympathetic towards her, actually. With a weary sigh, he released her from his grasp and sat back on his haunches. She'd better not try anything. He could probably kill her pretty easily if he wanted to. His right ear twitched in irritation as he noticed the now-steadily rising sun climb up into the sky. Tigereye would probably skin him alive if he saw this, one of his warriors dozing off and mistaken for prey. And then he'd go for the she-cat. What a mouse-brain... he grumbled to himself. What was she doing, hunting with her head in the clouds? "Luckily for you, only a few tail-lengths from the border," he snorted, slightly annoyed. The only reason why Snaketooth chose such an outward spot was so that he wouldn't be disturbed. Ah, but he kind of deserved it since he did sleep too long...
He circled himself around the she-cat so that he was now facing her. His tail flicked back and forth as he crouched slightly to get to her eye level. "Consider yourself lucky," he hissed. "If some other patrol found you, they wouldn't have been so nice."

Fox - Queen of the Vipers As they walked, Bone seemed to be making promises. The Queen expected that these superior unions would come to fruition within the moon, and that they would be stuck to. Of course, many among their group had already assumed Thorn to be her heir, but in truth she hadn't made a decision. They were not old enough. Once she saw them with their new mates, she would decide. "Thorn is not my heir, you know. I haven't decided," she said to him.

Dusktalon - RockClan Warrior Dusktalon shivered as Darkshade's tail ran softly over his spine. Was he mistaken, or was she returning his advances? He hadn't expected that from the prickly Siamese. Well, he was not one to turn down the advances of a she-cat. "Here," Dusktalon said, with a charming smile. "Let me." He scooped the raven out from under her paws and began to pluck it for her. Personally, he preferred rodents; they required less effort. "What are your plans for the morning?" he asked in between feathers.

Halfwind - RockClan Medicine Cat With a start, the tom woke. He had never really had a decent night's sleep, and he deeply yearned to feel well rested. But like as not it would never happen. When he rolled over, his side ached fiercely as though it were a brand new wound. No doubt the poorly healed gash had opened a little in his sleep. Licking his paw Halfwind dabbed it over his left side and drew it away to see blood and plasma on it. He sighed, looking around for his apprentice. At least Tawnypaw got plenty of practice with putting on dressings.

The brown tom found his apprentice outside the den, halfway between the medicine den and the apprentices' den. She was talking to a couple of apprentices, and he smiled with pride as she spoke to them animatedly. The tom limped over. "Good morning all, what do we have here?" He could feel liquid oozing from his wound. Balancing precariously on his three legs, he waited patiently. The other legs ached, but he was used to it. "I'll need you in a moment, Tawnypaw."

Morningblossom - RockClan warrior When the tom released her, Morningblossom's first instinct was to run for the border as fast as she possibly could. When she saw him sitting back on his haunches though, a stance which normally was meant to be casual, she hesitated for a moment and instead backed up about a tail-length.

When he said she wasn't far from the border she took a deep breath to steady herself and looked at him. "Why were you sleeping so far from camp?" she blurted out. "There are foxes and badgers around here that hunt during the night. You could've been hurt."

Her fur bristled when he lowered himself into a crouch, and she instinctively backed up another tail-length from him. Well if you hadn't been laying here looking like prey I wouldn't have gotten this far anyways, she thought to herself, narrowing her eyes slightly at the tom. She knew that they'd been on RockClan territory when she was with Ravensong, she must have passed the border while stalking what she thought had been a mouse. "Thank you for your kindess," she said to him with a small smile. "I really appreciate it, and this won't happen again."

Bone - Commander of the Vipers "Oh, really?" he said to her, looking at Fox out of the corner of his eye as he scanned the area for prey. Many of the cats in their group assumed that Thorn was her heir, but he supposed that she never had actually said so herself. "They are still very young," he said to her. He knew that, were he in her position, it might be difficult to choose an heir. It would end up being either Adderpaw or Crowpaw, but he wasn't sure which. They were two very different toms, yet the same in some ways. "I suppose time will tell," he said to her.

Darkshade - RockClan warrior As she talked with Dusktalon, she could see that her mother was smirking as she ate her prey. Russetfang knew that Darkshade was mostly just toying with the tom, just having some fun flirting before a long day of patrols was underway. Darkshade couldn't tell whether the tom thought she was serious or not, but she didn't care either way. Having someone to pluck her prey for her was convienent, and she didn't see any reason to stop him. "I don't have any so far," she said to Dusktalon, watching as a pile of raven feathers quickly grew around them. "I'm sure I'll end up on a patrol or something at some point." She shrugged and flicked her tail nonchalantly. "What about you?"

Tawnypaw - RockClan medicine cat apprentice "Morning Halfwind!" Tawnypaw said when her mentor approached them. As soon as he approached she could see and smell the blood oozing from his wound. She knew that he would probably need for her to dress it as soon as they were done here, like she did most mornings. She wished that she could do more to help him, but there wasn't much that could be done about such an old wound. "Moonpaw was just mentioning that he's been having trouble with nightmares recently. I thought that maybe we could give him some poppy seeds tonight and see if that helps?" She looked up at her mentor quizzically, hoping that her treatment had been correct.

Fox - Queen of the Vipers Tail curling in pleasure, Fox grinned at her Commander. "No, he isn't," she replied. It was fun, fooling all the other cats, and she relished thinking about how they had jumped to conclusions. She flicked her ears out. "If my kits were yours, who would you choose?" she asked, smiling mischievously at the thought of having kits with him. She couldn't, of course, not openly, but she could imagine it.

Dusktalon - RockClan Warrior Dusktalon finished up plucking the bird, then pushed it in Darkshade's direction. "Well, perhaps we could go hunting together?" He didn't miss the smile glittering in Russetfang's eyes, but he ignored it. Feathers littering the ground matched his fur; Cherryflower would want them, he thought. Pulling a vole from the fresh kill pile, Dusktalon grinned at the she-cat. "No apprentice, no responsibilities."

Halfwind - RockClan Medicine Cat Chuckling, Halfwind took in the three apprentices. "You and me, both, Moonpaw," he replied, laughing softly. He turned to Tawnypaw. "Poppy seeds might work. Moonpaw, how long have they been bothering you? The nightmares." Poppy seeds no longer helped Halfwind, but they may work for the younger tom.

Brownpaw The apprentice had dashed out of the den quickly, but once she realized that Riverpaw and Burnedpaw were waiting for her, she slowed her pace to walk. She wasn’t in any big hurry to get anywhere, but wasn’t walk so slowly that the other two apprentices would get impatient with her. Sunpaw and Moonpaw had continued on going off to do whatever else was more important. Probably to get something to stop Moonpaw from crying out when his dreams were getting out of control.

Brownpaw returned Burningpaw’s smile continuing toward the fresh kill pile. ”Thanks for waiting for me,” she mewled. ”I am joining you for breakfast. If you don’t mind?” She paused to look at the two apprentices making sure they were truly okay with her joining them. She didn’t expect they would have a problem, but better to check anyway.

Alderfang The she-cat smiled as Cherryflower eagerly nodded her head. It was clear she was excited to join her on a patrol which was nice. She didn’t like being with others who disliked doing their job. It was part of their life and disliking it just seemed dumb. Of course, Cherryflower wasn’t going anywhere without Shadowlark. Those two were near inseparable. Alderfang nodded her head when the cat put up a claw indicating they should wait which she would do without any trouble at all.

She shifted her gaze around the clan just as their leader came racing out of his den looking slightly disheveled, but still clean. He’d slept in later than usual, but Tanglebelly had been there to watch over the clan. She dipped her head toward her leader and said, ”Good morning, Stonestar.” Then she allowed the her leader and deputy to converse.

Galeclan

Tigereye The black and orange striped tom paused at the tree line. He turned back to Badgerclaw nodding his head. He may not like the tom, but at least he was willing to do some things for the clan. Of course, Crowpaw wasn’t his apprentice, but that didn’t seem to bother either of them. At least someone was going out hunting before the fresh kill pile emptied out completely. ”That’s fine, Badgerclaw. Thank you for the help.” Then the tom continued back toward the clan once again not even waiting for Adderpaw.

The Vipers

Wilder She watched her mate carefully wondering how he would react to her tone. She wasn’t necessarily jealous, but she didn’t like how he obviously watched their Queen. It was creepy and Wilder did not like it. She didn’t necessarily love being Blacksparrow’s mate either, but even she got jealous at times. ”No, there is no reason. I am yours and you are mine. That won’t change,” Wilder replied, looking up at him.

Fang The spotted tom made his way through the forest his paws light upon the ground careful to keep himself silent. He didn't want his prey running off before he caught it. He always liked having fresh kill in the mornings, so it was normal for him to out alone. Of course, he would catch prey for his Queen as well. It would be rude if he didn't. Not that he knew where Fox was anyway, but he was sure he’d seen her again at some point. He didn't worry much about her as she was just as strong as he was, so worrying was almost redundant. The tom continued on his hunt having already found two squirrels and a sparrow. He wanted one more thing before the returning to camp.

Burningpaw, Riverpaw - RockClan Apprentices The pair waited patiently while Brownpaw slowed and then caught up to them. Their fur mirrored each other's quite strongly, fiery pelt so very different from blue-grey fur. And when Brownpaw joined them, their pelts seemed to emulate the earth, sky and sun. Burningpaw smiled at the she-cat. "I would love for you to join us, I'm sure Riverpaw will agree." With a grin, he began to head over to the fresh kill pile, slipping past Dusktalon, Darkshade and Russetfang to pull three mice. He trotted back over to the she-cats and dropped the prey at their feet.

Bone - Commander of the Vipers Bone smiled and shook his head, then walked in silence for a few moments. I'm sure that Thorn would be thrilled to know his mother has tricked him, he thought to himself with a smirk. The tom had grown arrogant in his knowledge that he was the best of Fox's kits. It would be interesting to see what he would do if he discovered otherwise. "I'd probably end up picking Thorn," he said to her with a shrug. "In my opinion, he is the strongest of your kits, and the most level-headed. I'm sure he could lead us, if need be." Though, truth be told, none of her kits were completely right in the head.

Darkshade - RockClan warrior "An early morning hunting trip sounds good to me," Darkshade said to him with a smirk. When he handed the raven back to her she tore into it, watching as he selected a vole. "Isn't it great?" she remarked after a few moments. "Being a fairly new warrior certainly has its advantages."
