ONe thing I did notice about the wings in general of an artist pov- is that the right wing (the HAs left) seems thicker in the center of the wing, where the 'shoulder' would be- the first 'bend' that comes from above is different by quite a bit from the other side. Also, the detailing on the wings is very difficult to see and there doesn't seem to be any sort of light source. While I do understand that they are a tribute item, they still need to have the light hitting them correctly. I'm don't think the overall structure matters /that/ much, but I don't know if subeta staff might try to give you a 'lesson' on wings.... meaning they might ask you to define the details more.

Otherwise, they are very cool and the one with the shadow is nice (but no slot for me thx). =) GL in selling (and getting them accepted xD)!

Question, are you drawing on that sample HA you're showing there, or on the larger blank base HAs provided by subeta for cw making? Cuz if you're drawing on that size there, it might make things more difficult to get the results you want. The blank ones are located on the custom wear page, just below the 3 HA examples (linked male|female). Looking at your file there, I see it's the right size, but the HA looks a little blurry itself, which can make your wear look funny. What you'll want to do, is use the basic base provided by subeta, cuz it's smoother, use that to 'size down' and use the small HA saved from wherever (like a HA making site or something) to paste a smaller size for selling. The size you're showing is still not quite the right size, so it's hard to tell if it's the right details and all. The wing looks better yes. But the highlights still need some help as it's looking a little too dark and the details of the feathers will be entirely lost upon sizing it down. Don't use the dodge/burn tool for doing any highlighting of any kind. That should only ever be used for very very minimal extra highlights or shadows in very small areas. Otherwise, completely color it cell shaded, make sure that the feathers are distinct, but flow with the entire wing. They won't allow a totally flat black image, unfortunately, but it's just looking a little too dark. Here's en example of what I mean: See how the feathers are more prominent? (even if a little subtly, so you can def work more with that). And the light is coming from the top left, hitting the wings in a more distinct way, not just making it 'glow' at the top areas, which is what it's doing with the dodge or soft brush, which ever you're doing. Avoid using those brushes as much as possible. I might like a pair, if they are defined a bit more, so let me know how it goes. =) GL! ~♥

GOSH WHY AM I SUCH A NEWBIE AT CWs. I hate to be bothering you guys like this but after a posting a bit with odduckoasis I realized I need to keep the wings what they were made for- a tribute. These wings are a lot less darker and more transparent than the wings before. I would love to be making the feathers more prominent but then that would lose what the wings were made for. I'd just like to confirm on slots and you can shoot an opinion at me, it'd be much appreciated. I can still keep the darker version still. Sorry for the trouble! Haha yeah pretty one-sided whether I should keep the shadow or not. Even if it doesn't go through I'm sure I'll find a way. Now I'm dealing with the transparency of the wings, which ultimately I REALLY CAN NOT make up my mind about. Maybe I'm not made for the CW business :3
