Ty for the ping :D
hiya, tyvm keith for the balances and formatting changes on this one and for the consideration, really looking forward to playing the rework again :). Ty for addressing feedback and am glad things here and elsewhere were helpful.
i havent played with the new changes yet, but will get around to it this week.
gameplay wise waiting still might be the best way to go for bubbles popped achievements, but it feels fairer with much more incentives to go for helping achievements too (imo, without testing). I am not sure limiting how many bubbles can be popped daily or limiting how many feeds you can do is fair (as suggested in SB), I think the rework is very cool.
Edit: changes have made a big difference for me, have noticed a lot more activity and feeding. It is not as easy to get time last pops which is fairer for those competing for achievements. I note that people can compete for who helps the most now too and it feels a lot more friendly and communal. The achievements are a motivator and a goal now.

When people are feeding multiple minions all at the same time it's competition. Honestly, I get that a lot of people have been at it for years but that shouldn't make it a place where newer players are being led to feel that they aren't welcome to the 'exclusive' club. I enjoy the changes, I think that they are drawing more engagement to the activity with players.
would be nice to have a little progress bar or timer for the cooldown time
I just tried it, and it seemed to go all right. It probably helped that the minions I was feeding were ones that no one wanted but still XD I did notice if I ran out of food and had to go get some more I had to refresh before they showed up in the food you have pane, but that is really not a big deal at all. Actually managed to pop a bubble which I think is...the first time in 12 years? So I am not at all discontent XD Also helped some other people which always makes me happy. All in all, I quite like thiis
Keith - the sniping I was referring to was the last feed to pop the bubble. I'm trying to work on the Bubbles Popped achievement and spending 10-15 minutes per minion only to have someone else get the achievement credit instead of you really sucks. By waiting until the last moment, they're virtually making other users do all the work to earn their achievement.
heya, am sorry that it has been frustrating going for bubbles popped :( (i have put some game help / unsolicited tips in a spoiler box, pls ignore if its not helpful)

if u are going for popping bubbles try waiting and targeting ready bubbles. in my experience and observations watching and going for bubbles about to pop is the best way to try for high numbers of bubbles popping, while consistent feeding is the best way to go for the helper achievements, and increase your odds of rescuing a minion. it is definitely not as easy to time a last snipe now so hopefully you have a better chance going for bubbles popped by watching. To me the achievements are a good challenge at the moment and i am having a lot more fun with the rework. I hope this helps (just ignore if not) and good luck!!

This! That's what I mean by the work is done for them and they pop the bubble and get the achievement. It's still giving hard feelings
Minion food reactions I find inconsistent! If they love a food and you feed it again, they say dislike. If you feed a food they dislike, do it again it's neutral. It's weird
Come give feedback
I'm not as upset by this. I figure once the people snipping get the achievements they'll go on to something else. I'll get mine eventually.
I understand what you're saying, but you have the same ability to be the last feeder as all of those people who are doing it. You aren't required, or encouraged, to feed the minion from start to finish or it would be a solo experience. "Doing all of the work" isn't in the achievement - it's getting the last feed.
And if that is stressful for you, you can wait a little bit until the fervor dies down and probably feed minion from start to finish with no one else even being on the page, that just isn't the experience right now, and I don't think there is much that I can do (other than just remove this achievement) to improve that experience.

I just tried it, didn't get the minion but it was fun helping another user get the minion. I like the food at the side instead of underneath. It makes it easier to keep track of the food, minion, and all of that. Is there a way that we can see the minions we've gotten and the minions we need without having to put the minions we've received into our minion zoo or whatever?
I understand your frustration. Please consider that some of us are simply feeding the minions. Just now I saw that you had mostly fed the minions and they appeared to be strategically set up to pop in two or so feeds. I have been feeding food items from quests at the end of quest completion, so I went ahead to feed those items. It looks like your strategy paid off for you, but a minion or two popped for me when that wasn't even my intention. Best of luck getting the achievement!

Feel free to pop them! Since apparently it is a free for all and anyone is allowed to pop at any time, any user etiquette is a figment of our imagination ;)
Yeah, it does seem like a flawed system even though measures were taken to make it less transparent. I gave you a heads up in discord before feeding, because I was hoping that my feed would push the minions to the point that you could pop them. Unfortunately, I guess there's some extra credit that happens with certain foods, so it's not entirely predictable. Otherwise I wouldn't have fed them at all, as I'm not interested in sniping feeds. I have some scruples. LMAO
Edit: Another thing I noticed is that I fed the same minion the same food item twice. Once it loved it, once it disliked it. What's up with that? What's the point in thumbs up/down'ing the food when the taste changes? Am I misunderstanding the process?

I noticed the same thing with good. If they like or love an item and you feed it again, they hate it. I don't understand
I understand the frustration. It's like the real world, doing a group project. They get credit when they did nothing but glue a few pieces of paper.
Keiths explaination of the changes- *Weighted Rescue Lottery:
My stats:
1443 Feeds
55 Bubbles Popped
1 Streak
55 Species
Seems fair to me. I don't care if other people pop the bubble or not. I'm happy to get a few and I'm happy to see others get them as well! I think that the idea of setting up a feed station to purchase food from is interesting as well.
I also suggested a type ofnfeed station. I think that woukd be cool and it can work something similar to RBP
it would be fun to see something like that, for sure! The idea reminds me of going to a zoo and mingling with the farm animals when I was young.
