I don't care if things are aligned, or my WL heading names are weird AF right now, as long as it loads immediately. Stuff look real weird right now with the CSS that got removed, naturally, but honestly, I can ignore it and not care about it as long as things load fast. I would much rather the page and requests loading time to be a priority fix instead of all of the "site improvements" or styling or anything. Those don't break my experience of the site, so to me, it's not as important or urgent to fix. My biggest concern is that legacy has ALWAYS seemed faster to me, so I spent most of my time on legacy. Especially battling. I was doing BQs daily and the lag right now makes battling actually painful and I haven't really battled in the past... however many days :/ If this is the "new" normal, it'll be hard for me to keep playing in the long run, and I know I won't be the only one. More concerningly, I haven't seen this issue addressed at all (why kumos was always clunky in loading, and now that experience has been transferred to legacy too).

I agree with and that the legacy site seems to be much slower than before. That makes already repetitive things like questing and battling so much worse.

The font size situation was truly out of control. Thanks for braving that battle!

On another note: This is a really niche concern, but there is a special challenger that only appears on Friday the 13th days (Careapier, his special form), and this coming Friday is one of them! I've been REALLY looking forward to it since I had to miss the most recent one in February (and the next chance wouldn't be until November 😭 )

Is there a way to make sure that we are able to battle him? Not sure if he is affected by all that has been going on. In addition, the lag will make it painful, so any way to mitigate that in battling would be great, since I'm pretty busy that day but I was going to make sure to make a bit of time (which, without all this recent lag would be not be an issue at all...)

Since it's only a one-day window, and it's a rare one-day window at that. ;u;

Thanks for all the hard work (and speedy work too - when the site exploded on Monday I anticipated it'd be down for at LEAST a few days, I couldn't believe it came back up so quickly!!!) AND the detailed user-friendly explanation! it really does help a lot - I might not understand all this coding malarkey but this explanation helps. a lot of sites just go "Oh we moved to [complicated techspeak]" and expect you to know what that means, I really appreciate that you don't do that!!

hoping the wonky colours can be sorted soon (I miss my brown backgrounds, now everything's grey and/or white... typical, just as soon as we get the white BGs sorted on Kumos they come over to Legacy too |D), also the sidebar cuts off halfway down the page for me? and of course the lag that others have mentioned. They're the only obvious errors/weirdness sticking out to me on Legacy atm

Also I can't Like posts on the boards any more? Is that a permanent change or has it just been taken down temporarily due to the errors? Sorry if I've missed an announcement re: that.

Wahoo!!! Really excited that things are being updated on Legacy, as to me the user interface is just way, way more clean and useable (not being able to open links in separate tabs with command + click really keeps me away from kumos). But I understand that if the bones are not there it must change eventually!

Thank you for the hard work! I've been here for a very long time, and it's nice to see that you're still actively working on the site. It's both the community and the staff team that keep Subeta alive when other sites of it's kind died a long time ago. I love Subeta, and I want to keep loving Subeta.

With that being said, I hate change. I reeeeeally hate change. I appreciate that you're migrating slowly, because I think I would've dropped off all together if the move to Kumos happened all in one go. I still really dislike Kumos, but I'm hoping it's just because it's unfamiliar.

The load times are awful everywhere right now. Loading the forums is a nightmare, I've barely participated in Survival this year because I'm struggling with the Kumos forums. I don't think I've made a single post, where I would usually have been kinda chatty. This is probably also partially the product of being a mobile user. I don't own a laptop right now, my phone is all I have to access the Internet unless I'm at work, and I'm not going to use my work computer for playing pet sites (as much as it's tempting!)

I just want a site that works. I don't think any of us care if it's pretty (and legacy is pretty ugly right now!) as long as it works. There are so many users who have been around for as long as I have (just checked my dashboard, and 19 years? I didn't realise it had been quite that long!), and we stick around because we want Subeta to succeed. You're doing a great job and I appreciate how hard it is to keep everything running. These updates are fantastic. I think you would've seen more user drop off if we weren't kept in the loop!

The slow load times are driving me crazy. Battling is a chore right now. That said, we've had so many major changes to the site in a very short time. I think a grace period to figure out provider issues and optimize for speed is a reasonable ask. At least for now I'm willing to wait and see and hope for the best.

this is out of curiosity but what on earth is it making hundreds of requests for? 😆 I'm trying to think like...if I was on the Dailies page, there would be at least one for the avatar, one for the active pet, events, news notifications.... is it that everything is extremely fragmented and scattered across many tables? (dealing with that "fun" at work rn)

Still working on the lag today! Kumos has had some improvements, and the reality is that I'll likely just need to do another migration :(

Hey Keith, as someone who has also been here since the beginning, I really appreciate what you and the team have done over the years.

To still have the commitment to keep this site running is great. How many of us can say we're still working on a project we started when we were teenagers? Jesus.

I don't like the new quick stock & autoprice. The old stock had a stock button top & bottom so I don't have to keep scrolling up. The old autoprice had 2 obvious simple buttons "Autoprice" & "Super Autoprice". Prefer those. Also I was finally able to buy CSC so good there. "Users Online: 4" ???

By the time dailies are f-i-n-a-l-l-y done with the lag now, there is no time left for crawling along battling, which again is slow, and even though throwbacks are still around, there is either no time for them or they/their count are broken.

I can't play daily like I used to because of the frustration of load times, and depending on how long the load times continue like this, I may suspend my subscription. I never liked the design of Kumos against the clean feel of Legacy, it always felt like a pre-development sort of standby while the 20-year-old site looked like a finished product. I imagine that's just something I have to suck up if I want to keep playing, though aesthetics will decide if I keep it up too. It looks more 2000s than ever lol. But now that it's also loading as slowly as Kumos, and looks as clunky and unpleasant as Kumos, I haven't been on in a couple weeks, and probably won't continue to monetarily support if it keeps up this way. I actually un-combiend my Subeta tabs that I'd had saved since last year when the visual change happened.

I do, however, appreciate the move-over being gradual. If it had been all-at-one, I probably would have fully jumped ship.

I wish the quick stock stock buttons and the buttons for autoprice were the same as legacy. And I'm getting tired of having to keep logging in again when I go to the healer.

I really hope something is done about the speed of the site soon. It's unplayable right now and that sucks imho.
