I've just rolled out a couple new features to kick off the new year, and this one's a bit of an experiment in making our forums more interactive!

New Year Token Quest Rewards

Throughout January 2026, every quest you complete will now reward you with 5-15 New Year Tokens in addition to your regular rewards. These stack with your sP, items, and any other quest bonuses you're earning. This applies to all quests - Pete, Saggitarius, the Wizard, you name it.

Head over to the New Years Shop to see what you can spend them on!

Memory Thread: Share Your Story, Earn Tokens

This is the experimental part. I've created a special Memory Thread in Subeta - General where you can:

1. Share a favorite memory from your time on Subeta
2. Share one thing you'd love to see on the site

Do both, and you'll earn 100 New Year Tokens as a one-time reward!

I'm building more interactive features into the forums - things that go beyond just posting and replying. The goal is to make threads feel more like community events with actual rewards and engagement mechanics. This Memory Thread is the first experiment.

If it works well, I'll build more features like this. Threads that let you earn rewards, contribute to community goals, vote on things, etc. We've got this whole new Kumos forum system - might as well use it for more than just discussion!

What I'd Love to Hear

• Does the memory thread reward feel meaningful?
• What other kinds of "interactive threads" would you want to see?
• Any technical issues with claiming rewards?

Just something I whipped up yesterday, it could be something open to everyone. Would you find something useful in being able to create a thread that gave away currency if people answered?

It's a little bit of a test right now to see how many people find it without linking it on the legacy site. Don't worry, I'll make sure to post about it before it goes away (if it ever does)
