Hi! We unfortunately don't have a lot of options here. the hustler alerts drive purchases, and that's what we need to keep the site running.

So it's either add 3-4 more ads to each page, or have the hustler alerts. Which are annoying -- but they drive purchases that wouldn't otherwise happen. we need those purchases to keep the site running, and if we remove the banner (as it was off for two years, we have a pretty good sense of the metrics here) we lose a chunk of purchases that have to be made up in other ways (ads, moving more functionality to CSC/gold accounts or laying people off).

I'm trying to be as transparent as possible here, we give you the ability to add custom CSS to this site & kumos for a reason -- however those banners are going to be used for downtime / other information.

yes, i can get those things in!

• banner vanish when the item gets sold out
• making sure the X cancels it out on kumos appropriately

I think this should work now (it going away automatically when the last person makes a purchase).

I'm also going to make it a little less frequent!

Folks seeing them when they don't want to see them is what drives people to make purchases that they wouldn't have already made. The stats on the hustler when the alerts work / are vs off are very different, and are one of the reasons we don't have to add 3 additional ad units to the site.

I wish I didn't have to make decisions like this and we could just run Subeta for free and pay everyone a fair wage, that unfortunately isn't the deal. We sometimes have to do things like push people into making purchases they wouldn't have otherwise have made.

The compromise we've made together is that there is a free website for you to play, and sometimes you might have an annoyance like the hustler ad. I hope that's a compromise you're willing to make.
