My son took me out to a private lunch at a local Italian Restaurant close to the house. It wasnt opened for service until 4pm. I got there at 2:30 to meet him and the place was totally empty. He explained to me that when he got there the owner, who also was Italian, told my son that he would have to come back @ 4 when they opened to the public.

My son is full of tricks, like his Mommy. lol He explained to the owner that he wanted to take his Mother out for her 71st birthday. He was going to be moving permanently to New York on Tuesday and this may be the last time he would be able to do this. Then he threw in the fact that I was dealing with cancer and no one was sure if I would even be around for the next birthday.

Needless to say, I felt so special. There was only 1 table in the middle of the restaurant that was set up so perfectly. Beautiful place settings, wine, menus, cards, flowers and a lot of smiling staff. LOL He pulled my chair out, told me to order whatever I wanted and not to look at the prices. "Its your special day and I dont want you to worry about a thing". I thought I was caught inside of a movie! My son got up and down the whole time. He went and got the food and served us. We had a great Mom & son talk about his future and I think we both felt a lot better about his leaving than we had in a very long time. It was great.

At the end he went for a container and put everything we couldnt eat into it for me to take home. I had the Eggplant Parm that came with a side of homemade pasta. It was enough for 2 people. We shared an Italian chopped antipasta and Tim ate all the homemade rolls. hahahaha He also got tortellini in blush sauce.

Before we walked out he told me that he wanted to have the staff bring me out a cake and sing happy birthday to me but the owner said, "You dont really wanna have a bunch of mexican cooks singing to your Mom in spanish do ya". LOL So funny. It would have been great but I get embarrassed so easily at stuff like that, so Im glad he didnt pull it off.

Thanks for letting me write another book on here. hahahaha Love you guys.
