Are you doing to be doing a reset now to get rid of items that are over the limits right now? I don't trust that things will get cleaned up now when the previous limits weren't being followed.
is also right about the Kumos shops. They're available enough to hurt prices but when I'm questing here, I know I'm not going to go to Kumos shops since that breaks the rhythm people have doing for years. I tend to use Kumos shops if I felt like questing on Kumos.
I'm glad you're pushing some changes through but when will these be implemented? Special potions are looking dire right now... a fix can't come fast enough.
What's your plan with dynamic pricing? At the moment it doesn't look like it's working
Random idea I'm throwing in: Just merge all subeta shops into one big giant mess. Hear me out, everyone is now going to be looking at the same shop increasing competition (the thrill of sniping). You don't know what's going to restock (unpredictability, surprise). The shop clears/resets after three minutes so you gotta pick through it as fast as possible (chaos, frenzy). On top of that, add a teeny tiny chance a retired item can restock for that added incentive and I think it's something people might enjoy. I know I would, lol. I really only get a thrill from restocking Freyalise, both legacy and kumos shops do nothing for me entertainment-wise
This would mean people with physical disabilities standing no chance of ever getting anything worthwhile. I still think the best restocking system is the legacy one although shops could clear every 12 hours instead of every 24 hours. In the old days I think the shops cleared every hour but that was too frequent.
Quick idea, maybe the shops will only search items up to a certain rarity? So you can't "search" items R90+ or something, meaning the RS-ing would then be similar to the current (legacy) system for these items. Additionally, I like the shops stocking these items a few times a day (to be fair to players around the world) and only 1 at a time, this seems like a great way to keep the spirit of RS-ing and protect certain rarities from dropping too much in price.
This would mean we wouldn't lose the ability to say, buy 50 of the same book in like three clicks vs 100 clicks which is HUGELY HELPFUL omg.
just to draw your attention that there's a new post :)
It's been two weeks since these changes were announced, and I don't think they've been implemented yet. Right now rares and super rares are restocking way too often and there are huge stacks of items in all shops. I hope your fixes help when they are pushed, but it's pretty annoying to keep waiting when kumos restocking is so broken. The fact that the system was implemented in such a broken way has messed with the economy of all high-value (over 70k sP) restockable items - I now have dozens of special potions stockpiled (because it's impossible to sell them), and I'm sure plenty of other users do too.
Other issues I'd love to see fixed:
[edit] 5/24/25 For the first time on kumos I actually just got some of the items that weren't previously restocking - and ! I don't think the shop limits are working properly, or the restock rates have been fixed though.
And I realize I forgot to mention that the consistent restock timing is not very fun either - I'd love if it went to something a little more varied so you can't just check in at a certain point after the hour to know you'll catch a restock.

3rd place to post this: Kumos shops have not restocked since morning, by now almost all are completely empty!
Two days later and the Kumos NPC shops still aren't restocking. This has been reported several times in different relevant topics but we haven't heard if this is a fault or intentional.
New change, automatic item hover without having to click on item first - wonderful! works well in quests! However in NPC shops, the hover infos are not clickable. The hover info vanishes, when mouse moves away from item.
