I can't bid on some items I have been outbid on. It shows on My Bids page that there's still time left, yet when I go to the item's bid page I can't bid and it says "Auction time has expired. Finalizing results...". My time zone is 7 hours ahead of Subeta time (I think it's counting based on my time not Subeta's time?)
Edit: Can bid on them now! Though the "Auction has expired" line is showing under the bid box for some reason lol
Keith - thanks, I did get the notify that I won the auctions, but I still don't have the items.
... I got notifies that the items were given to me, and they're now safely with me. thanks!
Can confirm the "Auction time has expired. Finalizing results..." text still shows on open auctions.
Also not sure if something like this can be implemented but I would love a tracking feature for auctions you want to keep an eye on. I don't care if you want to impose a limit of x amount of tracked auctions or if you need a GA for it, I just want the ability to track ones I am interested in :P
This is a really neat feature! I have some hard to sell items I'd love to get rid of and I'm willing to discount them a lot, I can see this working really well for that. This will likely be great for newly released items without a stable price too :)
The wishlist view is super useful, I'd love it if something like that could be implemented for trades too.
I'd personally like to have a possibility to end the auction X minutes/hours/days after last bid to prevent people from sniping the item. I don't mind the set ending time that much, but for valuable items it'd be nice to be able to accommodate people in different time zones and get bids closer to the items actual value.
Would it be possible to be able to search old auctions? I understand archiving all of them would probably be a bit much but being able to find price estimates for unbuyable items would be useful.
I'm having the same issues with the time remaining counter as others though. The "Browse all" page shows several expired auctions that still have time left (those auctions have a "Auction time has expired" notification below the option to bid as well. Sometimes the live timer stops working (works fine after a refresh though, no errors in console either).
Oh and I'm getting "Only items worth 100,000+ points can be auctioned" error when trying to list a CW. It's buyable with csc from user shops so it's probably picking that price and assuming it's sp price.
Yay for auctions! This is a cute idea. :) I would love a proper hover and wishlist outline, but I suspect/desperately hope that will arrive at some point in the future once you have enough time for it.
Time Left Ended I'm 14-16 hours ahead so almost everything is telling me it's already ended and that 'Auction time has expired. Finalizing results...' which makes the idea of bidding a bit stressful! Weirdly, a lot of items with over 1 day to go seem to swap times - 30d 3h/Ended every split second. It's disorienting.
It also comes up with a red error for a split second when I try to bid sometimes - error reading line something something something. It's gone too quickly for me to see. After 3 tries the bid went through (without refreshing the page).
I admit that back in the day the best part of auctions was watching the timer count down and trying to figure out what value to put in as your last bid so that you could out-snipe the snipers 😅 Sometimes I won, sometimes someone else out-bid me, and I always amicably accepted that I can't win all of them. I can also see why users would want a 'no sniping' feature though and I think I'd found a way to make it work. You could probably tick a box when you make your auction to not include an end timer altogether. Choose how long you want the auction going on for but nobody can see when it ends except you. An alternative to this if it's not viable is maybe have a set price to buy it outright without bidding (I think ebay or something has this option idk I don't use it lol,) but basically giving anyone an option to just buy it for the price listed
Yeah this is why I said I don't mind it that much :D I'm already stalking the auctions that'll end soon, definitely part of the fun. I would prefer it to be optional too and your additions are spot on, something like that would be great.
Working on the weird timers that seem to be counting in many mysterious time zones at once 😵💫

Found a new error 😁 I can bid on my own auctions, this should be prevented. Here's an example.
It's still requiring a bid step field value of at least 50 in CW auctions. Could we get that reduced to steps of 10 CSC? 10 CSC is still quite a bit more than 50,000 sP.
Just pushed up the fix - it's set to 10 minimum step now.
fixed!

Do you get the sP back if you are outbid? Also, I listed an item, but the auction ended and no one bidded. But I never got the item back. Is this a bug?
edit: I got my item back, there was just a small delay maybe, sorry!
ik this is relatively minor for something you just launched but i had to switch from lumi theme to default theme bc the text in the auction widget was really hard to read because of the green text that says "winning". There's a few other themes it's a bit hard to see on as well.
as always, thank you for the updates! i've been enjoying kumos a lot
ALSO every time i switch my theme it reverts back to lumi on the next page i go to aaaaaa
i'm moving the theme from browser local storage into the database tomorrow, and that'll prevent both of those issues :( i honestly have no idea why / how it's choosing the themes it reverts to for people 😭

thank you for the explanation! no worries lol
I won an auction (yay!) everything went great. My only feedback is that the page for winning the item was blank. when you win you get a message saying, you won, and it's a link, but if you click the link the page it opens is blank for me. also maybe a cute lil note could be added on that page that the item will be delivered to your inventory after taking x amount of time to process. :3 it's been fun browsing the auctions thanks for bringing them back!
I'd like it if I get outbid and decide I no longer want to bid any higher, I can choose to take those off the list in the Outbids section
Love the auctions. I’ve managed to shift a bunch of ‘high value’ items from my shop that otherwise would sit there. Other users get them for below shop price, I get rid = win, win!
I also always loved how the auctions used to make the site feel alive. Like something was happening. So pleased to see that back.
I personally don’t think there’s a need for an anti-sniping feature. I’m not convinced that the auctions will be that busy to need it. Plus, it’s kinda the thing with auctions, trying to figure out how much to put at the end to win the item. In RL I’ve been in auctions where if a bid is placed in the last 30 minutes, the auction time is extended by 30mins to allow everyone the chance to bid, and lemme tell ya, that’s boring af.
Also second that it’d be nice if the won auction alert went somewhere. But also, does it need to? Perhaps just a plain text alert would suffice? “You won X with the highest bid of X. Congratulations!”
Keep up the top work everyone. All these new/returning features makes the site feel a bit more like it did back when a plot was happening.
I've been having lots of trouble trying to determine when a certain auction will end as on the page that lists all the auctions the timers are either flashing between ended and different timers or showing a different timer than when I go on to the actual item's auction page.
I tried to clear my cashe and it fixed the blinking for a while but after browsing for a few pages, the blinking is back. Before clearing the cashe it also showed many auctions as ended but now they shoe the real time again.
To test further I made few of my own auctions and at least for me, when I go to a specific item, it only shows hours, minutes and seconds on the time remaining even though I listed them for 7 days, the days remaining does not show at all. This would explain my confusion about few items I though were supposed to end already but show the same time remaining on their page as yesterday, as it goes from 0h to 23h remaining if the auction has been listed for multiple days.
I use chrome as my browser if that info makes a difference.
