Is there any way you can put a hold on items that are offered cheaper in the shops while doing quests? I've had many times where I've clicked on it only to find it is no longer in stock. That slows down quests and on "busy in the real world days", that just isn't appreciated.
I cannot do "Sticker Resistance" quests today. I get the error message "Unable to start quest: Could not find enough available items that meet the quest requirements. This usually means there are not enough items available in shops or the required items are too rare. Please try again later when more items become available." I have completed all the other Kumos quests today.
I just completed the "Sticker Resistance" Kumos Quest. I didn't receive the error message when I tried again to start this Kumos Quest this time.
I'm currently going working my way through the Saggitarius quests here on Kumos. I really like the way you are showing us exactly how the rewards are figured including the weekend quest bonus. Thank you. =)
Gonna sound silly, but I actually really like that when you are searching shops for the items, you can see the active quest and items requested listed across the top of the page, and I love that when you hit complete quest from right there that it gives you confetti xD Little things like that make a big difference, brought out the kid in me for a moment.
"Yay! I did a good thing!" xD Ye ole positive reinforcement, I am here for it.

I wish that you could get quest points

it is very hard to complete quests when the npc shops are not restcking///what in the heck is going on here???
I do not think that this information is needed or necessary
Rewards Received Points Earned 59,848 sP Total Points Earned Reward Breakdown Base quest reward 51,212 sP Item value bonus +8,124 sP NPC reputation bonus +512 sP Total Earned 59,848 sP
How rewards are calculated:
Base reward: Set by the quest
Item value bonus: Based on the value of items you turned in
NPC bonuses: Earned through building reputation with Maleria
I'm getting occasional errors where it's not registering that I purchased the item, but the item does appear in my inventory. Refreshing or toggling the quest info has fixed it.
I'm a little late to the party but I've been dreading the concept of changing quests because I love Morty Cards and with the legacy system more quests = more opportunities for one to drop. I've been content with the legacy quantity because of that and I'm also one of those people who happens to find questing relaxing. That being said, I'm all for decreasing the amount of daily quests as long as rewards are adjusted to compensate! I've been trying the Kumos questing for a week or so and I think this is a promising change. I'm absolutely looking forward to a more consistent CSC reward system than Morty Card RNG mentioned earlier in the thread.
I REALLY love the quest header/"streamliner" addition! I love that it looks through your vault without having to manually hover over the item and Account Search. Something I've noticed is that the quest header doesn't look through your shop items and when it takes you to the Kumos user shop search, the search results don't recognize your shop (maybe because Kumos user shops are still such a WIP??) and you have to buy the item from yourself instead of pulling it out of your shop like the legacy page does. With the legacy quest setup, this could theoretically let you "deposit" your sP into your own shop till--where it's not detected by Sarah--allowing you do her quests without actually being broke. (And also EZ shop till achievements, but that's nbd.)
I have yet to rank up with any npcs so far but I'm looking forward to it! It seems like an interesting way of rewarding persistent questers.
I still have mixed feelings about the removal of quest points. I understand wanting to reduce the large number of site currencies and appreciate you and the team for still considering user quality of life and being willing to make changes after all these years! I'm just one of those users who's used to the current system and is bad at holding onto their sP, which is enabled a teensy bit by not making sP the only currency. 😭
I can't seem to try the Hustler quest. it keeps saying I'm not logged in when I am.
Personally, I don't care about NPC lore, but some of the quests I love to do, are not here. Quentin and Library. I wonder how the rep points will work because it takes forever to build. I do appreciate the increased the SP from these quests. It makes them worth doing now.
what I don't like about the quests, is having to get 3-4 items. I'm good with 2 only.
Why does the krad bomb keep showing as being able to be bought cheaply in the NPC shop but is never in there? This item shows up multiple times a day here on the kumos quests and I have never been able to get the cheap version. Is this a glitch?
Love the new quest system.... but I do wish that there were more than 5 per person. Quests are one of the things I always adored, and they're even quicker to get through in the new system.
Will there be any checks in place in the future to stop quest-givers from asking for unbuyable items? One of them asked me for a Normal rarity item last night and none were restockable or available in user shops for any price. I crossed my fingers and hoped to vend it from Ocean Depths, but no luck. It sucked to have to give up a quest when we are limited to so few. And if there are no checks to prevent this... what is the compensation for such a quest like if I did happen to have that item in my vault? I guess my main concern is: if there are no checks, what's to prevent someone from buying up all of an item just to make it unbuyable and get a more substantial reward? I know this wouldn't be possible for every item, but sometimes there are so few of an item available that it would certainly be possible.
It would be helpful if you would move the daily quest reset alert from 'Other' (with all the seasonal alerts) to 'Alerts' (with random, decanter, etc). When I'm busy IRL, I come back to 70+ dancing alerts so alerts like this get buried and I'm unlikely to notice them unless I'm reading every single alert. Exact alert: Your daily quests have been reset! Remember, you can provide feedback / thoughts / suggestions here 💖 The auction winning alert is also grouped in this section and would be nice to be moved to Alerts.
I also noticed that there didn't seem to be any kind of wishlist indicator on the items in the wizard's shop. I assume that's going to be added soon?
While I'm here I'd like to add. I KNOW very handly and lovely buy button from the quest menu it's not coming back cause it cause issues. BUT I'd like to be able to remove the requested item from my vault with that one click instead. As I see it, this could not cause the same issue that the buy button (multiple users aiming for the same item at once), cause I'd be the only user pulling away one item from my vault. If this not possible, I'd aprecciate a "remove one" near the current "remove" button, to save the time of open the submenu and click the remove one.
Of the things that I really liked about the legacy quests is that they allowed you wear/deposit into the collections after purchase. Now, it just auto-refreshes you back to the shop. Speaking of the refresh, when you press 'complete' right after purchasing the last quest item, and the shop auto-refreshes after the purchase, something seems to give me the kumos error page pop up after trying to press complete again. Very odd. (I'm also seeing a quest expired page flash by briefly despite still being good on time...?)
Reposting about the Wizard quest requests never seeming to be in the Spells Galore shop despite it initially noting that it's in stock in the NPC shop. I don't mind buying from user shops, but it's very odd that it thinks it's in stock when it's not and leads you up to the NPC page instead of the search shop listings.
Also, search shop listings don't highlight your shop any more when you have an item in stock in your shop to move it to your inventory or tell you when an NPC shop has it in stock? That was a great legacy feature, very QoL, imo. :c
Also, the "Search Shop" page seems broken. When you type the search query in the text box, it doesn't work initially. After a refresh, it fills with the query. Puzzling.
Outside of the quest/shops, a suggestion i think the site should be able to do is convert abbreviations like 1.4m = 1400000 or comma'd numbers... 1,400,000 = 1400000. It's hard to immediately clock if you put the right number of zeros. I am all for QoL thingies.
Just some things that popped in my head as a new player/quester. :3
For Runway Ready ... I think I will pass on this one. smh
Red Dark-Harlequin Shorts Where to find: User Shop: 6,000,000sP Search All User Shops
Required Items:
Cream Silk Bow Shirt Where to find: Search All User Shops
Why even give Cream Silk Bow Shirt as a quest item if there are none to be bought anywhere? What is the point?
The runway quests ask repeatedly for the same items & the costs of those items are increasing exponentially
Not all items are restocking @ Spells Galore. It seems none of the common items restock- to complete quests, you have to have original store up. Have noticed some items are missing from the newer iterations of the shops, the egg seed has not appeared in the seedlings shop all week, also in the book store, the Fun with History: Omen Islands hasn't shown up in that same week, nor has Broken Spines. I know these are rarer items- but not as rare as some that are ALWAYS stocked.
Today I ran into a problem

I had to cancel two different Mauve quests today due to an unbuyable item. I think that's why he got confused and offered me a quest that I cannot complete because I'm already at my cap? I have all the items that he requested, but it tells me that I've reached my quest limit with him :(
