Thank you for that feedback!

I've made some improvements to the kumos side based on that. There is a sidebar, there was a completely hidden hamburger menu icon in the header that was the same color as the background, very easy to miss. That'll pop open with your sP and CSC, and working on adding more widgets based on the feedback thread I opened about them.

I've also made some tweaks to the composting page, to try and address your feedback. We have a ton more control over the page layout now, and can make tweaks to (hopefully) make things more tablet/mobile friendly. It's just a matter of asking, I look at the pages in mobile (iOS) and desktop before pushing, but getting feedback from folks using tablets is helpful!

And I hear you on the mad dash, the prizes are feature are going to come back, you'll be able to get these items again. I'll talk to Amber about extending it a few days to make space for folks in other time zones, and people who can't be on every day. We wanted it to feel like a challenge, though!

In regards to item choices, I specifically picked items that were coming out or would be coming out during the holiday. I've been rotating out ToT and Pumpkin Patch to make sure plenty of pumpkin/squash/gourd items are going out, there are the floating pumpkins, and used keywords to add specific sweets. If you're curious, I went about it by adding 'sour' 'sweet' 'chocolate' 'gummy' 'candy' 'sugar' items to the pool of compostable items. I didn't want a small batch of items for the pool (like the regular recycle beast) where people could buy them all up in shops or elsewhere immediately. Has this been perfect? No! But I think it's been a good starting point.

Like Keith has said, we are going to use this feature again! This was a new thing for us with a lot of new things (that has been very excited about) that will evolve thanks to feedback and just live user participation. Heck, I used past quest-a-thons as inspiration for the prizes. I know y'all have wanted to be able to choose your prizes because not everyone cared about a pet slot or whatever. I personally love being able to choose the order I want to get my prizes like hello new skin, you are mine now.

I think the most important thing for me is that the items can be sorted by price. It's been mentioned that the max price setting doesn't seem to do anything and that's basically the only search function I'd ever use for a donation game.

Hunting for: (It's the only beanbag I need for a full collection!)

Wanted to chime in again in response to Amber's post to say that I also love that you can select what prizes you want first - this takes a lot of grindiness out of the equation, especially if there's just a couple prizes someone's interested in.

Not sure if it's known but "locked" items in your inventory still show up as able to compost.

How do we need to interpret this feature. Is it an addition to the regular recycle beast on the new site (regular non food, compost food) or is that what the current recycle beast will turn into in the new site?

I do like the look and feel of it (indeed taking other timezones in account to provide enough time for everyone if things need to be obtained in a limited timeframe). I just don't know if we can fully rate it if not everything is working yet. Providing that things like item hovers / account searches etc will be working there on the list of items it accepts, since now I check there which items it accepts, and then come back here to account search them...

I don't like (right now) being forced to use another site that is not complete yet in order to obtain exclusive items. This is the first time I'm using the new site, I didn't see the need to be half on this one and half on another one till now. Once it's finished, I'll transfer over (well, not like we'll have a choice), but until then, just don't like to feel being forced over there by taking away features on this one or starting exclusive things on the other one? (or maybe it's my 18 years subeta experience with half-finished projects that were eventually abandoned that gives me the shivers that we'll end up with a half-abandoned site here and a half-new site there).

I decided to spend my points all at once and accidentally bought 4 of the Blacklight Corns (lol) so maybe if we are doing this in the future, having a success confirmation text would be nice to stop me from buying the same thing again, thinking that the button isn't working haha.

Two words: shopping cart.

I would love a shopping cart feature integrated for something like this because I imagine that the reward shop is going to end up with lots of things in it over time. (Not to mention how much of a godsend it would be for holiday shops once those get ported to Kumos, oof.)

Back on topic: I like this event and I appreciate the extension very much, but I do wish that extra time will be taken into account from the start next time. We don't all manage to play daily, so having an extra week to get the max points would be very user-friendly and considerate for folks who might have busy schedules.

Personally, I wouldn't put too much stress on getting the community progress numbers "just right". I'd rather have something obtainable that feels good to look at than have an intimidating number that's an overestimate. Quest-a-thons come to mind. Those were fun and rewarding, yes, but the huge goal felt really intimidating until the community really got the ball rolling. Even then, we've had a couple of very close calls iirc, where we barely got the goal in time.

Speaking of, I hope this can be used for quest-a-thons too. This could be an interesting way to entice all kinds of users to join in and work toward the questing goal, not just pet people. :P I remember battlers in particular being very meh on quest-a-thons and the account-bound wearable reward. Staff could make an exclusive "divine battle token", have the quest-a-thon/other community events be the only thing that gives out these tokens. Put some spicy battle stuff in the battle shop for sale for these kinds of tokens. Balance things out as needed, just throwing this out as an idea. If it's always visible in the battle shop, it intrigues players in and entices them to participate in future community events.

The biggest downer on Kumos for me is the missing item hovers. Esp. on the HUGE list of compostable items that's a nightmare!

The other thing - I'm not complaining, just will be careful with my items furthermore - I noticed is, that for ages you have said, you didn't want to emphasize hoarding any longer. Composting is another good example, why we should kling to every item we get. Sooo happy I own pumpkins galore! And (besides when we had to empty our old shops and I went on a recycling spree), I always take care, I keep a very good amount of EVERY item I can get hold of, even - or even more just because - if shop prices are below underground nowadays.

I get what you're saying about hoarding, but the composting activity asks for seasonal items that were circulating when the activity started. I can't speak for actual statistics of how subeta players used seasonal items as they received them, but personally, I composted every floating pumpkin I got after carving it.

I imagine users who had a stock of hoarded pumpkin items turned a lot of them in for composting, so next Morostide, there will likely be fewer hoarded pumpkins sitting in users' accounts. But don't quote me on that!

In my opinion... It's a little boring now. It feels like it's going on for too long with such a long gap between 500 and 1,000 to get the next prize. I end up forgetting about it some days. It lost its luster a week ago. But maybe it's just me?

So late to this party (thread) but overall:

• I like the concept! As someone who's been here for 19 years, I've accumulated a lot of stuff. Most of it's cheap/duplicates/I'll just put it here and forget about it for ten years, but ngl I keep a lot of seemingly random stuff I know I'll never really do anything with because in the past I've fragged "don't need this and it's worth 300sP" items only for an achievement or a new thing (ex: foods eaten) to be released or revamps and that 300sP item is now 40m.

So on one hand I do really like the feature but honestly I just composted new pumpkins and didn't go near my hoard of old things I probably don't need but tomorrow it might be tied to something so better keep it just in case. It appears it was also kinda discouraging for people who are newer or aren't packrats like myself.

To level the playing field, so to speak, it'd be nice if we got something new to remove these "please let them go already" items (being real, toy collection when please) and/or let all quests give out those old (pricy) holiday shop items in the spirit of them "celebrating" the holiday. Gives more access to the items and let's some of the people like me finally let go of the stuff because I can actually buy it again if I end up needing it for a reason.

• I love being able to pick whatever prizes I want. If I only need a couple of items then I can either get dupes or be casual about it. I also liked that there were different pools for personal vs. community.

• I appreciate the large amount of items that were included but it was cumbersome to figure out what I did or didn't have + price checking (why give a 2m retired gourd when a 1k pumpkin has an equal point value). I fumbled around a bit before just settling on tossing in floating pumpkins. I'd say items worth more could = more points but that'd just be catering to people like me and that's not really fair.

I don't have any suggestions for how to improve that though and this could just be an issue of me playing mobile vs. the kumos site unsuccessfully trying to smash everything to fit my screen size.

Last point, I can't remember if this was addressed or not, but if it isn't currently in the plans it'd be nice to expand this to items that aren't just food? Or maybe

• Right now items with only a toy function really have no use outside of being pretty or stuffing somewhere (gallery, TC, etc.). I know not everything HAS to have a use but when it comes to item value there's really not much hope for these items. These are usually the first thing I frag because they're worth more as crystals than items. I'd love a toy collection because I'm 100% an Adult Kid but a "toy drive" is also a really fun idea.

• Wearables. Clothing drive? For support, based off just 0-99 rarity clothing listed by lowest to highest on subetalodge: there's 925 wearables worth under 2k sP, and there's 2,750 wearables worth under 4k. That's a lot items in circulation that aren't worth much, and that's not even counting retired/holiday/melody/so on.
